I tried the crab cake sandwich with lettuce for $22 at a local festival. The sandwich was dense and flavorful. I didn't add mustard or any other sauces. In the future, I would get the crab cake alone rather than the sandwich because I don't think the bread is necessary. They offer packages for those who want to order large quantities of crab. The price point was in line with competitors.

If you're fortunate enough to come across their food truck get the crab cake in cream of crab soup. Definitely an icon in the Pantheon of Baltimore cuisine. Every bite is exploding with goodness! Unlike some in the restaurant industry, these owners did not use Covid as an excuse for declining quality and increasing prices. Portion is generous enough that you can be virtuous and eat half now and the rest the next day. Or you can do like I did and eat the entire thing at once and wish you bought another.

I really wanted to love Flash crabcakes! That is the truth. I found out about Flash while browsing on Yelp, weeks before the TV appearance. After seeing good looking crabcake photos and a really high Yelp rating, I started stalking its Facebook account for the daily schedule. "When is this food truck heading my way???!""Oh they're at Hopkins today!! I can Uber!!!"Finally, found it parked Downtown. I was very excited!! It was a beautifullllll day!! There was a short line, so had to wait a little. The owner was really friendly, he chatted with the customers and very proud of his business. I didn't mind the wait and I was happy to see a passionate business owner. He offered samples of his crabcake and cream of crab soup. I already had high expectations even before tasting it for the first time. When I had the sample crabcake, I was NOT blown away. :( Tried the sample cream of crab soup next and THAT was GREAT!! Still, I came for the crabcakes, so I still bought 2 orders of All Lump Crabcake with Crackers $13x2 for my husband and I. After eating, we were really disappointed because for $13, it was small and it was not "All Lump". I've also had better tasting homemade crabcakes. I just somehow expected it to be something special. I have had a lot of crabcakes from different "BEST" crabcake restaurants in Baltimore to Annapolis. I was hoping that I was finally going to find THE BEST, but I was wrong. As for Flash, I'd still go and buy its cream of crab soup in the future. I'd be happy to pay $10 for a bowl.

Yum who knew some of the most delicious crab cakes in the city come from a food truck?!? The owners are so friendly and will give you a sample if you are having trouble deciding. I ended up going with the crab cake and soup together which was pretty interesting. Next time I would ask for the soup and crab cake separate - I didn't like the texture once the cake had been in the soup a few minutes.Overall really tasty and reasonably priced.

35 dollars for a small cake and a bowl of soup. Completely disappointed. Not worth the money.. First of all the cracked was burned on the bottom. Second of all the crab was not lump, seemed like it was flakes from the leg and claw. The soup was ok but big peices of celery were almost impossible to eat, very stringy. The person at the window seemed like they were on crack or high on something. Will not buy again.

Yummy Crabcake & Cream of Crab soup paired with above and beyond amazing service. Jeff & Jo make a killer sandwich as well as making you feel at home from the moment you arrive at the truck. Spoiling our kiddos, offering up all the condiments and more. The crabcake sandwich was amazong from the delicious, full or crab cake, to the farm-fresh tomato and crisp lettuce, just perfectly simple with a focus on the star, the crab meat. Don't miss an opportunity to eat at Flash, you won't be disappointed, that's for sure!

These crab cakes are the best crab cakes I have ever had. The crab soup is also great. The owner and his wife are so nice and very helpful when I am making a selection. I deal with the food truck that comes to Enclave at Emerson on Upper Sky Way, Laurel. They only come once a month and I wish they came more often. If you have not tried them, please do and you won't be disappointed.

This place makes some of the best, most Maryland style of crab cakes and crab soup period. I like to visit G&Ms and they make some fabulous crab cakes, but I don't consider them a true Maryland style crabcake. Flash makes crab cakes and crab soup like my family did growing up when a bushel of crabs could be had for $40 or less. Highly recommended and I hope they keep coming to the Chatham road stop at Church of the Resurrection in ellicott city.

I was highly disappointed and sad to admit. The owner was convincing at her food truck that this was lumpy ran... they must have pulled all lumps apart... the taste was horrible. I was making myself eat it because I truly wanted to like it along with the cream of crab soup AND it wasn't cheap.I gave up half way through and trashed it because I was making myself sick by continuing to eat it.It just wasn't for me. I do wish the company continued success.
