Ordering a hot dog or fries with chili and/or cheese? It comes like this and is then warmed in a commercial heater.
This is how the assembly line works. A Subway-like concept but your options are very limited.
Super crispy and super hot, delicious hash browns. Sad to say, but it's better than McD.
Shrimp and sweet potato fries. Is it bad that this is the best shrimp and fries I've ever had... And it was from a hospital? :)

Flamers is in the cafe in John's Hopkins hospital. Overall okay but some room to improve on cleanliness and service. Breakfast has some good sandwich options with large portion sizes for around $6.50- very reasonable for what you get. You can get topping options that mirror what you might typically expect on a hamburger. They do not serve coffee but there is a coffee shop 15 yards away if needed. Burgers are good and more closely resemble diner food- a bit greasy but tasty. Service is just okay. It's fast food so staff are about getting you through the line quickly. They will add sandwich toppings as you direct after coming off the grill. The quality of the food off the grill seems decent. Where I get a bit grossed out is looking at some of the vegetable bins. They don't look clean and the pickle bin in particular looked to contain very old product - maybe moldy? This was a huge turn off and makes me question the cleanliness of the restaurant in general. Would look carefully if you are adding topping from food bins to your sandwich.

Was looking for something to eat at the Hopkins grille and Flamers looked good. Got the Cheesesteak ultimate which had mushrooms and onions in addition to the regular cheese and steak. They have a fixins bar there, where you can get whatever toppings you choose on it. I got lettuce, tomato, pickles and cucumber. Could have added banana peppers, raw onions, hot peppers, mayo and other sauces. Ordered fries and a bottle of water to complete the combo. The cheesesteak was freshly made, hot and very tasty. The fries, though not freshly cooked, were warm, and tasted fine. Price was reasonable for a hospital cafe. Will be back to try other food when back seeing physicians at this hospital and facility.

Very quick review for a very fast-food stall in the Hopkins Cobblestone Cafeteria. Flamers is a very fast-food chain that serves hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, and strangely, falafel and hummus based wraps as well. This review is for my overall thoughts on the food quality, food taste, cost, staff, etc. Food quality: It's oily fast food. Everything is either deep fried or heated on the flattop. The food comes out quick, and there's a selection of spreads and basic vegetables you can add to any of your sandwich orders (think Subway style). The food quality is almost negligible since everything already comes to this store frozen and in boxes or bags. But I still think the food is pretty darn good. Food Taste: I mean.... it's quintessential American fast food. What you see is what you get. I have to admit though.... I love their super extra-crunchy, extra-battered, double-fried french fries. If you're lucky enough to get a batch fresh out of the hot oil, you're in for a greasy and sinfully tasty treat!Cost: Very reasonable. Especially their breakfast sandwiches!Staff: This is where I stop with the nice words. The staff here, well, they're pretty horrible. There's this one guy who seems to smile, forcefully, but at least he's trying. On the other hand, the lady who works here (and there's more than one, but they all have the same attitude and work ethic) is just awful. She's SUPER slow. Looks dirty. Doesn't care to listen to orders. Takes orders like she wants to die. And watches the TV screen instead of working the line or cashier. I could go on and on with more comments and opinions... but I think you guys get how I feel about their staff.Bonus: By far, the main reason why I come here every once in a while (less frequently now because I don't work directly in the main Johns Hopkins Hospital anymore, but I get to treat myself on days when I have meetings there!) is because of their tiny yet delicious BREAKFAST MENU. Served daily until 10:30am. One thing that they are great at is providing a very generous amount of BACON! Lots of places stick about 2 pieces of soggy bacon in a breakfast sandwich and call it a day. Not here! You'll get your $3.50 worth and more. I also have to admit that the hashbrowns here, freshly pulled from the fryer, are my FAVORITE breakfast hashbrown patties in the world. McDonalds lost this race the minute I tried my first Flamers hashbrown patty.

Long wait and terrible food are present at Flamers. I recommend bringing your own food for lunch.

Cheesesteak with shredded mixed cheese was not too bad. Bread was decent. Customer service for weekend was acceptable, after I engaged to "warm" the atmosphere. It should be in reverse. 3/5/18..update to downgrade to 1 star. Service is really lacking, and as I said, I'm not here to please you, you're there to please me through proper customer service, and good food. Gain some manners and men.

Always open. Always a decent burger.Beef, turkey, veggie burgers. Hot dogs, salads, gyros, chicken strips, thick cut fries, breakfast. They have it all. Their combos are a decent deal.I usually go for the turkey burger with hots. It's the healthiest thing to eat at 2 in the morning.Even if they are closed at 2am they will often still make food for you. That's good service.

Customer service is horrible. Your company needs to send an auditor. There is this staff with a beard who keeps playing around with customers. People are pissed and just trying to stay calm. He keeps on messing up orders because he kept on talking over them and not listening to orders. The other staff already told him to stop playing around but he keeps on going.

The one star is generous. Customer service was absolutely terrible! Chicken tenders tasted dry and old! Management should be very ashamed of themselves! Please do better!

Sweet potatoe fries were good. The fish filet wasn't so great, the bread was day old, I got the combo but they failed to tell me the ONLY drink option today was Mon tain Dew. I'm in the hospital so I'm unsure their normal prices but it was over $14. The staff spoke with thick accents so it was hard to ask questions or communicate. I will not return.
