Firehouse Deli

This place is an underrated gem! It's a little holeIn the wall that'll make you feel like you're eating at a gas station but it somehow still feels cozy! They have a HUGE vegan menu and I've been looking for a little mom and pop sandwich shop since I moved to this area, because I had an AMAZING sandwich shop where I'm from. I'm absolutely delighted and angry I didn't try this place sooner. It was $34 to feed three people so the prices are also reasonable. Your order is taken old fashioned style and it may take a second to get your order if they're busy but I'm sure if you order ahead the wait isn't so long, since we ordered at the restaurant. SO worth it though.

Food was decent. Not sure what it was but the service was well, mean. Unless you were a regular on your lunch break. Coulda just been us.

I was in Germantown for an appointment and found this cute deli here on Yelp! I had to visit and see what all the buzz was about! The deli is in an office building right next to a Citibank banking office. There are a few designated parking spaces to run in and grab some yummy food. It was mid-morning on a Tuesday, so it wasn't too busy. I was greeted immediately upon entering the deli and placed my order. The Lady was very friendly and patient while I ordered breakfast (bacon, egg, and cheese on an English muffin) and lunch (yummy tuna sandwich on a croissant) for later. Yummy food and great service for sure! And the deli looked to be very clean!

I can't believe I never dropped a review. My go to here is the 9 "vegan Italian ( no cheese). The owner is always pleasant and the sub is always delicious. The space inside is limited so it's best to order to go. They offer vegan cupcakes for those plant based people with a sweet tooth and have a variety of beverages to choose from ( get a fresh smoothie while you're at it). Service is smooth and wait time is reasonable. There are plenty of sandwich options for vegans and no vegans will do just fine here. A gentleman ordered a steak and cheese before me and it looked great! Stop by when you're in the area. No need to go to the green and yellow down the street.

It's me again I ordered a lot today for my family and we loved everything. Slyvie and her husband are amazing. I love this hidden gem deli spot. I love their food so much!! The service is always perfect everytime I go!! They do such an amazing job. It's such a homey shop. I love coming here. Slyvie her husband and team are so kind. I just had the perfect sandwich, I mean, wrap from Firehouse Deli. It was an Italian wrap with everything. It was perfect and I do mean perfect. Each bite had some meat, some cheese, some lettuce, some additional toppings - all in perfect combination. It was juicy and the lunch meat was fantastic. It had some hot peppers, but just enough so I got sweaty under my eyes and on the back of my neck, not so hot that I couldn't taste all the various ingredients on their own. And, again, the people behind the counter are artists with the wraps - it was wrapped tight and NEVER came undone even at the end of the sandwich. There was a little too much liquid in the bottom of the container at the end of lunch, but this does not change the fact that Firehouse Deli is GREAT!!!!

Honestly, one of my favorites delis in the area. I got to know the owners there and they are extremely nice. The wraps are amazing. I like their turkey ranch and italian sub. Everything is just fresh. The woman told me that the catering business is slow because the office jobs are starting to becomeMore remote and people who work at the office isnt ordering catering as much. The business been around for 12 years. So I dont want them to shut down. The food is reasonably priced too. They are not stingy with the toppings.

Staying at a nearby hotel, we needed a quick and easy spot for lunch before heading down into DC. I spotted this unassuming place in an unassuming building which had really terrific reviews...so what the heck, let's go for it! Sooooo glad we did!My wife ordered an avocado cobb salad with ranch dressing which she raved about; it hit all the right notes!I ordered one of my deli go-to's, the club sandwich on toasted wheat which I upgraded to a combo including a fountain drink and fries. You could also choose the main meat, I went with turkey. This club sammy was perfect...toasty crisp bread, just the right amount of mayo and fresh meats and veggies. I could not eat it fast enough! And those fries...oh, those fries. Not sure if they batter then and fry 'em or maybe they double fry them because they were so crispy on the outside and tender inside.This was just what we needed to fuel up before heading down to our nation's capitol and a weekend of fun with our daughter.

Seriously underrated deli!! I ordered the classic reuben (they have variations and other cool specialities). I was kinda expecting not much cause you know, sometimes good Reubens are hard to come by, but this was melt-in-your mouth fresh and tasty. I feel like the quantity was really solid too for the price. This place is a hidden gem for sure. Cute mom & pop shop - lovely staff. I like how it's also vegan friendly. I'll definitely be back for more

Finally found hidden gem deli spot with vegan options in the area that serves for both of breakfast and lunch! I've ordered vegan Italian sub for lunch and it tasted really good. I was pretty impressed with the portions and flavors. The service was welcome and friendly when I first walked in. I'm beyond THRILLED that they have good options for vegan subs/wraps and definitely will come back and try other vegan subs. Think it's now one of my favorite deli spots. This spot could be overlooked and has small space but with the character in it, which I liked it. Looking forward for my remaining visits!
