Firehouse Cremery not only has ice cream but also a food market. The ice cream is from South Mountain. It has few tables inside and outside to enjoy your ice cream. They even carry frozen Squire's pizza. The staff was friendly and pleasant. On this occasion, we only got the soft serve. It hit the spot after some shopping.

The staff is very welcoming to everyone. The ice is creamy and hot the spot after dinner and doing a little shopping. They have milk and tea in bottles!!

Didn't beat out the Incumbent! ( That's Hoffman's of Westminster-in our book)! I had heard about Firehouse through word of mouth. And when I looked to Yelp for more information about this new candidate, all I saw was raves! So naturally I had them on my radar. Tonight, my hubby and I were feeling dessert--ice cream specifically. So we made the quick hop over to the campaign headquarters of our hometown favorite . Oh, but the line....When we saw that the line at the polls was wrapped around the side of the building, I suggested a little trip to Sykesville to the headquarters of a new contender, Firehouse Creamery. Their headquarters are in the quaint, cute downtown Main Street area. The parking was around the side and I believe is shared with the place next door. And the lot was packed. Inside was cute and more modern than our neighborhood fave. They also sell other dairy products from South Mountain Farms. But we were there to give the ice cream a go! Here's the breakdown-Chocolate was ehh. Not as firm/dense as the aforementioned ice cream, the consistency was more like an ice milk. Flavor was not bad, but not good enough to arm my top vote. Hubby's peach was, he said " okay". And the scoop was on the smallish size. The staff was friendly and it is a cute shop. I'm not thinking the ice cream will win me over, but perhaps we may one day listen to the platform from the other dairy products.

"Wow" is an understatement. The ice cream looks, smells, and tastes like it was made that morning with farm fresh materials. I ordered a large cotton candy in a waffle cone bowl. I'll admit, it was more than I could handle after dinner. Be warned, the scoops are generous.Generous portions, reasonably priced, better than your average ice-cream. Skip dessert at the restaurant and get it here instead. Firehouse Creamery is just that good.

Pretty great icecream. Great flavor selection and great quality. They make a fantastic a coffee-icecream drink/shake thing. Like instead of a traditional milkshake, they add coldbrew coffee. So good! They also sell some local dairy goods such as milk, cream cheese, etc. Check it out!

Ice cream is just part of the scenery in the warm months. So why not stop by and grab some from the Firehouse Creamery? It is so darn cute and quaint! I truly enjoyed looking at the decor, cakes, fresh milk, and meat!? available for sale. Certainly, I was not expecting to find meat for sale with my ice cream. I think it comes from a local butchery. Still, there are several original flavors of ice cream, but i'm a sucker for mint chocolate chip. The child size was actually pretty filling. There are a few tables and chairs inside. This is definitely a place to visit on a beautiful afternoon or evening for a sweet treat, or even sausage for your breakfast.

My family and I have been coming here for all our ice cream and milk needs for the past year. We really love and enjoy the products they provide. Up to this point ALL of the other staff has been very respectful and kind. However, today was the first day I have ever been treated so rudely by a staff member. I sent my son in to do a bottle return deposit that is made when buying South Mountain Creamery milk and pick up a fresh bottle of milk. To which, the young lady shorted him the remainder of the deposit total and sent him on his way. This is by no means is the first time we have been shorted, but a first to be treated with ignorance and rudeness. When I went in and explained to the staff member (who was more interested in what was on her laptop) that she shorted my son money, with an attitude claimed I was complaining and I shouldn't be sending my son in to buy milk. I explained that the reason for him going in was I was feeling under the weather and did not want to expose anyone since most staff doesn't wear masks. I asked for the owners number so I may reach out to them. I did call and leave a message on the main phone number for the creamery, which I really hope staff did not erase which is why I am writing this review. I hope in future, staff is better trained on how to process bottle deposits and purchases.

Is there really such thing as bad ice cream??? This place hits the spot every single time we've gone. They also carry some grocery items from local farms and vendors! It definitely is a one stop wonder if you are trying to your ice cream with a side of meat oh and a pie. It just crossed my mind that I could have had apple pie a la mode tonight... not sure why that didn't click until just now but I guess that just gives me an excuse to go back!!!

A young man named Casey Clark is the biggest help. He is such a kind and knowledgeable person about the wide variety of ice cream flavors and was very diligent in his work. Casey makes my day whenever I call into the shop. Be sure to tip him well and give him a raise!!!
