Ferndale Tavern

The bartender was rude a fuck. Yes I get it.. we decided to go have a last min beer at 0000-0100 we went in nice and I asked what time they do last call (thinking it was normal like everywhere 0130) no. She scoffs and says "we are done now" at 1 am and said "next time say that" when I asked for her to just make double of what we ordered since I figured it was early and they weren't done yet. The place looked chill and had a nice patio it looked like a nice decent place but I can see that it's semi clicky and they have the regular crowd that shows up on a sat night. That bartender did not care for new people showing up she seemed like she was fed up with her life and her job and projected that shit on patrons. Shame. Will NOT go back to this place it was a 1 and done vibe. Girl you're like 75yrs old. If you don't wanna be behind the bar then don't bartend? Last call is 1:30 am not 12:50-1am on a Saturday. Joe K is the only other review of this place at this point and he gave it a 1 star, writing it off extremely quickly... I will do no such thing.Let's be real for a second here: It's a tavern in the middle of Ferndale. We aren't starting by aiming high... you're gonna need to rate this place by location... and not compare it to a 5 star New York City speakeasy that serves you $25 drinks directly off Victoria's Secret models' boobs.You go here to drink, watch sports, play pool, and maybe not get punched out. Let's answer some critical questions: 1 - Was the beer cold? Yes.2- Was the place clean? Yeah, it actually was... and rather nice for what it was.3- Did the TVs work and were there multiple TVs? Yes and Yes4 - Did the bartender make sure you had beer in the bottle in front of you? Yes... and in fact, she was rather sweet.Bonus: They had a ton of fresh oranges they were cutting up for their Orange crush mixed drink. This place is fine... definitely way better than a 1 star review for where it is and what it is.

Really a 3.5. Came for happy hour with friends and enjoyed the atmosphere. Great prices, and a variety of music on the jukebox. Stop on in anytime

I went to Ferndale Tavern this evening for the first time.was a little hesitant due to a sign that says no colors......i immediately asked a lady parked next to me if i was reading the sign correctly.she said.Jesus No.the people here are not like...The sign meant something totally different about sports colors.WHEW.to my delight i went in and had A GREAT time.Nice crowd.good drinks.great company.I will b going back.

Everything could improve! The only reason that this place still exists is because it is a skip over the railroad from a firehouse and Tricia's lack luster tits pouring out of her shirt and trying to engage in a conversation when she clearly has an IQ of a make a wish kid.. over priced beer.. I would only give a tip for them to just WALK AWAY!!

Extremely let down constantly by this place. Older blonde woman with glasses consistently gives poor service. She's also apparently a partial owner. Multiple bars within the building, opened a tab downstairs and went to play pool upstairs. Apparently the downstairs bar closes sooner, and my tab was opened downstairs with the before mentioned woman. She locked my debit card in their safe without any effort to find me. I did not leave the grounds of the establishment throughout the night. Upon trying to close my tab immediately after the bouncer announced last call, the door downstairs was locked and the bartender was sitting in the upstairs bar and refused to return my property with a comment about "not knowing where I was". Zero effort. Bartending staff made jokes at me the whole time I was respectfully trying to get my property. Extremely poor taste left in my mouth especially after cash tipping generously to staff. HAD TO PHONE POLICE in an attempt to recover my debit card. Gotta reschedule my whole day tomorrow because I have to return to this place upon their opening after being blatantly disrespected because it was too much effort to check amongst the 10 people attending the bar upon their closing of a portion of their establishment.

I looove this place !!!!!! When I moved from Texas and was in need of local a bar here it was!!!! Aaron, shani, Amber treated me like family from the moment I stepped in !!!

We arrived and waited almost 10 minutes before being approve the one bar tender- ordered drinks and a pizza and waited another 5-10 minutes before receiving our drinks. Waited 30 minutes for the pizza and left. We never had this experience before. Bartender seemed overwhelmed by everything.

If you are a person who appreciates a dive bar, try Ferndale Down under. It's fun and has thee colest beer. Pub food only, nice people and a lil enclosed area if you are a smoker or just feel like being outside. We saw younger folks, older folks, and middle aged patrons. It seems like a nice hangout for all. Jukebox. We plan to return and try upstairs.
