Fenwick Bakery

So this place is in the neighbor I grew up in. I'm back in town for my 50th high school reunion and had to check out the Best Bakery anywhere.They are small but that is only on space not service or taste.I would recommend the slab cheesecake ( some places called smearcase) and the marshmallow stuffed doughnuts You cannot go wrong with any choice. While we were waiting for our order to be packaged, one of the bakers brought us samples of the butter cookies fresh and hot from the ovenIf you go on a Friday or Saturday go early

I came here last Saturday morning to pick up a dozen donuts to take to a family get together. OMG, the chocolate covered donuts are a-mazing. They make Dunkin taste like cheap-o fluff circles. These donuts are heavy but Light, so Very Fresh, and tasty! I also sampled the honeybuns-- de-licious in every way.Go early before they are out of everything-- Fenwick Bakery is a classic Baltimore bakery on Harford Road in Parkville.

Fluffy cake-like donuts. Yummy fresh pastries. The peach ones were amazing! Very reasonable prices. Give it a try, you won't regret it! (Unless you are on a diet, then you might regret it)

Nothing special but great customer service. The interior is intimate & slighted dated. Limited choices in the selections but maybe it was the time of day. The danishes were not memorable.

Really good donuts and mini pastries. Best Angel cream in town. Got a stale cake from them once so stick with the donuts.

Heard about the Peach rolls and Chocolate Donuts so decided to give them a try.A smaller spot that is grab and go.Read their story and interesting how they've changed and evolved over the years.I got there around 3:30 on a Thursday so some items were sold out or low (morning next time.) Found out the Peach Roll was a seasonal item-it will return next summer. The Chocolate frosted Donut didn't disappoint (I got the last one). I don't think I've ever seen so much frosting on a Donut! Got some other pastries to try and we enjoyed all of them especially the Raisin and Raspberry Danish. Saw a good variety of Cookies (by the pound), Bread, Pies and of course Cakes for ordering.Nice and kind lady was very helpful -patiently answering all of my questions. Even put twine on the box. They are delivering traditional bakery goodness! Don't miss this Parkville Gem that's been around for over 100 years!

Hands down the best bakery ever! This place will never disappoint everything is phenomenal! My favorites are the toasted coconut pastry, chocolate frosted doughnuts, rum buns, and the peach cakes; you will want one of everything and the women that work there are very friendly I give this bakery 10 stars

"They're like mini Chips Ahoy. I *** love Chips Ahoy." So says my friend reviewing Fenwick's cookies, so 5 stars it is. I also learned today that my friend's wedding cake came from Fenwick. Very quality. Much yum. Wow.Today's excursion was for the beloved Balmer institution of smearcase, as written up by Atlas Obscura. It's like cheesecake but both softer and firmer at the same time. Softer taste, smoother, creamier, yet it holds together more like a cheese pastry than a cheesecake. And this is the place you'll want to get it! While I was there, I splurged on a couple of other fun items, such as the cookies noted above. They are nice and crispy. I don't like crispy cookies but these were a gift and the gift was well received, so there you go! Finally, they had these... chocolate things. Turns out they were chocolate covered chocolate muffins. That idea alone is worth 5 stars. I brought that to the chocolate loving child of the giftee household and I can vouch that it was extremely well received.So between all that and the cake? This is your spot. Brave the neighborhood - it's really not bad at all here - and wait your turn, and you will be richly rewarded. Ask about the smearcase (or cheesecake, they kept calling it). You may need to come early for it. Worth it.

Great customer service and the best baked goods. It's also a convenient location with early hours so I can get in and get out before they get busy.

Been a go to bakery for decades. The pastries, doughnuts, peach cake, and many other of their baked goods continue to be the best around.
