Fast Eddie's Pit Beef

Definitely a solid entry into my "I want something fast & tasty cuz I don't feel like cooking" category! As stated by other reviewers, there are some opportunities, but if you want a generous sized meal that Arby's won't satisfy, this is the spot.Don't get caught up in the reviews by people who think they're food critics in NYC. Know where you are and have realistic expectations.

We all have days where things don't click. This was one of those for me. Always love, trying the local businesses. Tried this one because the reviews look pretty good. Unfortunately my experience wasn't as satisfying I purchased roast beef sandwich, tater tots, and a drink for $18.50. The roast beef was dry and the bun fell apart on me and I didn'tcare for the tater tot flavor. It took a few minutes for them to wait on me even though I was the only one in the store because they were carrying on a conversation about TV shows. The restaurant had quite a few tables in the back, but no options for lids for your drink to carry out. Restrooms are very clean which was nice. But unfortunately, not a win for me today.

Gnaw of the bone ribs and rib leather. Not a low and slow cook and while it had the flavor, i felt like one of the ghengis khans Mongolians eating a tough piece of horsehide out of necessity. Do better fast eddies...perhaps try cooking slow..not "Fast" eddies style.

My first visit to Fast Eddies since I moved 12 years ago. Not sure what happened but Fast Eddies beef is not good. I was disappointed that the beef was extremely tough and fatty. I threw half the pit beef sandwich away. 2 star rating only because the fries were very good.

I had take-out from Fast Eddies. The beef was piled high and very moist and nicely cooked but, to me and my wife, it was under-seasoned. I regret not asking for the roll and the beef to be packaged separately because, by the time the sandwich got to me, the roll was a soggy mess. Consider that as a testament to the moistness of the beef but it didn't make for pleasant eating. The fries were very good, thinly sliced with the skin on and mildly salted. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from instant potato flakes and the gravy tasted okay but was definitely not homemade.

Excellent choice for a delicious, quick meal!!!! The pit beef is top notch! You won't be sorry if you get a meal here!

Fries are cut in house the way they should be. Just impressed all around by this place, the food, the sauces and condiments, the people, portion size, and prices. Thanks for being awesome and sorry I didnt come sooner. Yum.

I had the bbq pork and fries combo which cost me about $17. That was the WORST pulled pork I've ever had. It tasted like it just sat in a crock pot for 3 days with ketchup. Super mushy, lacked flavor, and the roll was stale. The fries are huge and too much, but I guess they were also $5 and should be shared. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I don't know. The kid at the counter said it was good. He was wrong. Clearly he never had real pulled pork. The inside is filthy and tables needed to be cleaned. Wish I saved my money.

Very good pit beef sandwich! I also had sides of baked beans and mac & cheese, which were very tasty. Also, the service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was quiet, casual and low-key...perfect for this type of dining. I was craving this kind of food and made the scenic drive through Cecil County up from Dover, DE (I dislike chain restaurants and driving to Bull On The Beach in OC was out of the question on a holiday weekend). It was well worth the drive to Fast Eddie's and I will definitely be returning!

Fast Eddie's is not convenient to me, but when I get a hankering for pit beef it has always been worth the trip. disappointed today to find increased cost combined with decreased portions. got 2 pit beef combos, $32 plus tip, By itself that didn't bother me, but the generous portion of meat in the past was reduced to nothing special today. No longer worth a trip out of my way.
