El Sombrerito Tex Mex

Remington's is usually my go-to right across the lot, but I've always seen this spot. What stood out the most was that I had to avoid their parking spaces. If you park in them and go to Remington's, you could get towed LOL!!! But anyways, I finally decided to check it out just to see what they're about. I had no idea they had a bar -- whoa! I stepped in and the music was playing, and the bar was mostly full. I got one of the last seats, and I got a menu almost immediately. I got a papaya margarita as a drink that was pretty good -- came in a goblet type glass for $9. I decided to get a California Burrito, which came with rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. It was good, cheesy, filling... but it's not the BIG California burrito that people describe to me. So something tells me it's not the best one I could've had. The vibe of the place is nice, and it helps if you're familiar with Spanish. The place isn't the largest... so I wouldn't bank on trying to sit at the bar, especially if you aren't alone. But either way, I enjoyed the spot and would come back!

I just ordered the chicken chimichanga and it was fantastic. I've ordered chicken burrito meals in the past, and those were also great. With the burrito dinners, sometimes I would say there was too much cheese, but the overall flavor was fantastic. Highly recommend. Also the iced tea is usually well brewed and not acidic like in many places.

This place is surprisingly good. I ordered a Mariscada or Seafood soup. It was very tasty. It has salmon, Crab legs, Clams and you can add a lobster if you would like to. Other recommendations would be pupusas and chicken soup.

This place is affordable and gives you tons of high quality food. They didn't scrimp on anything. The bean and cheese nachos were packed with cheese, beans, sour cream and guacamole. The beef soup had tons of beef and veggies. The fried black beans are awesome too.

I'm going to just get the bad part right out there. After my fiancee and I ordered lunch here, I'm glad the house has two bathrooms. We've both been sick since. We ordered two chicken burritos today, to go. The presentation left a lot to be desired. They're in a ginormous bed of fairly plain rice, from which they're inseparable. As you eat the burrito, it becomes more and more mouthfuls of burrito flavored rice. The burritos are saucy, fairly liquid like. The chicken itself was bland. On the first bite, I found a large fragment of bone. Overall, they weren't great. They tasted okay, if you don't mind the general soupiness. But, then they settled in, and within about two hours, we were both clutching our stomachs and running for bathroom. No, I don't think I'll try it again. If for some reason you do, small tip: the tire place next door has piles of tires blocking visibility from the driveway. Be careful getting out.

The pupusas are excellent and good in the Dmv area the only thing the waitresses are not nice and they take to long for service but overall the pupusas are ten.

My job orders lunch from here often, it's my favorite place we order from.The pupusas (I get rice pupusas with cheese only) are amazing. I'm really picky because as funny as it sounds, some pupusas have far too much cheese and are hard to eat. These are perfect.The plantains are delicious. Tacos are good, honestly everything's pretty great. I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews, it's honestly really a great lunch spot.

Passed by this place a million times not sure why I've never stopped by. Only quality Tex mex/ El Salvadorian food here. Seating is best for small- medium sized parties. You get the authentic feel of a Latin bar w/ reggaeton blasting and Coronas every where.My party ordered steak fajitas, combo of enchiladas, steak quesadilla and carne Asada. Everything was cooked very well and came out quickly. Some of the meats were under seasoned. We all loved our food. Definitely try the carne Asada and enchiladas. Highly recommend this place for dinner or lunch. I'll be back to try their drink specials

Came here during my lunch break. Was skeptical at first since its overshadowed by Remingtons and a Tire place. Turns out their food is way better than Remingtons. The server was nice and greeted me with a smile. The place doesnt seat too many and Im guessing in the evening it gets packed with regulars. i went with the chicken chimichanga and a "pupusa loca" and a orchata. They have a good pupusa selection unlike most places. The food took about 15- 20 minutes. I was close to giving them 4 stars since I left my visa card there. I came back after 4hours and they asked me to show ID before giving me my card back. That shows they care about their customers.

My fiend wanted to try latino American food .. we googled it to search the nearest and we find this place .. we got there and ordered a carne asada and a soup.. I can't explain how terrible was the experience .. not just the food was rotten ... the presentation .. the quality of the ingredients... it was an awful Experience .. I don't recommend this place at all ..!
