I'm usually a regular at other Mexican spots in the area, but I decided to give this spot a try. They look like they are primarily a take out spot, but there is ample seating inside. We ordered a shrimp burrito platter that came with rice and beans and a steak burrito. Their portions are fairly generous and pricing is very affordable. For both items we paid around $27. Their food was very tasty and flavor seemed to be very authentic. They have a lot of options on their menu and even sell desserts at the store. if you have ever been curious, i highly recommend giving this a try!

Food was decent. My mom got nachos and said they were really good so if I got that I'd probably rate it higher. I got the quesadilla, was just a standard chicken quesadilla, I should've gotten something else like the tacos or burrito. I chose to be too basic. Service was great however and the place was very cleanly. I'd go back but switch up what I got

I think that I probably should of ate inside instead of ordering to go. Especially something like nachos. So maybe that was my fault. The cheese tasted really good and I'm sure it would of been even better if I ate it when the cheese was freshly poured. The rice was nothing exciting. I was expecting it to be a little more flavorful and not as mushy as it was. I didn't really enjoy the rice too much. The chicken quesadilla was just okay. Not the best I've had but not the worse either. No really complaints but I feel like it was missing a little something. Maybe a little more char on the chicken which helps the grill taste permeate through the quesadilla. I still ate it and next time I will just eat inside instead of picking up my food. Therefor the flavors will be fresher.

Do you remember that Cosby episode where Claire had to lose weight to fit into a formal gown for an event that she and Heathcliff were planning to attend? In the middle of the night she snuck into the kitchen and tried a Mexican dish that Heathcliff had earlier prepared to intentionally entice her. The minute she tried a spoonful she was completely mesmerized! That episode aired so many years ago and for years and I'm talking years I've been trying to imagine what that spoonful tasted like. During a recent visit to El El Patron I finally experienced that for myself. Have mercy. Do yourself a favor, get the El Patron mixed grill. Hope you enjoy as much as I did

The food was pretty good. I had the floutas and enchiladas and my friend had the shrimp and steak fajitas. The service was fairly quick and the ambiance was pleasant.

El Patron is my go-to, neighborhood taqueria. It is a small location, but I only order pick up so I never spend much time inside. The staff is friendly, but sometimes the wait is a bit extreme. But their food is worth the extra wait, I just suggest that you order well ahead instead of just showing up! I am a fan of corn taco shells, which is what they use, and their tacos come double-shelled. They over-stuff the tacos with tons of meat, onions and my favorite, cilantro! The fresh vegetables that they serve with the tacos are always fresh and the perfect addition! They used to include verde sauce with their tacos, but now they give the red sauce pictured. Personally, I don't care for any type of spicy sauce, luckily; I keep a jar of verde sauce in my fridge! :-) They also used to give you chips and salsa on the side, but they stopped. It would be great if they decided to bring them back! During this trip, I decided to try one of their dips. Boy, am I glad that I did! The chorizo dip was so good! They give you a ton if it and they are not stingy with the chips either! It was just the right amount of spicy, and the queso was creamy and delicious. El Patron is highly recommended, order today!

I ordered the arroz con pollo and when I say it was nasty, it was NASTY! They should feel ashamed to be a Mexican place and serve such mess. The rice was MUSHY like baby food and there were peas in the dish. There was no queso on top of the dish and the chicken was tough and overcooked. A child had to be the cook because that is the only way I can accept them serving this crap. The reviews are misleading and make me suspicious of them. Be sure to not make the mistake I made by only reading the reviews at the top! Read all of the reviews on multiple sites and you will see that the food is trash and has been trash!

I've eaten in the restaurant twice and the food truck in Severna Park once. The tacos are very good in the restaurant and even better for lunch off the truck. Large portions. Fair prices. 3 over stuffed tacos (carnitas, shrimp, lengua) with cucumbers, radish, Limes, and hot sauce for $13.60. Much more satisfying than my last couple Chipotle orders.
