We had the chicken tacos and the tamales in a takeout order. We agreed that the food was better than other places we've tried -- the tacos were moist and the tamales were very good and authentic. I would definitely return here. The staff was friendly and helpful and the service was fast. Try it!

Good and plentiful meat in the tacos and the Verde sauce is tasty. The Carne Asada was flavorful even without the sauce. Great service. The lady behind the counter was on the phone the whole time, but that didn't stop her from taking good care of me, bringing out whatever I needed before I even asked. She also made it clear that my needs came first. The bathrooms are clean. It's not a 5-star place and doesn't compare to Los primos in laurel, but as far as authentic tacos go, this place is really good. With American tacos, they put cheese on everything. Authentic El Salvadorean tacos don't. It was nice to have real authentic El Salvadorean food that was flavorful and delicious. This place is worthy of repeat visits.

I am very disappointed in this place. I called and asked about how long it will take to get my food. The young lady I spoke to answered my question (IN ENGLISH). We talked and I told her I will call back in a couple minutes. Called 20 minutes later and the same young lady answered the phone. After I got out my order, and asked about pico... She said," No English" I repeated her and said. "No English?" I then said are you saying no one in there speaks English? She replied. No ... No one speaks English. WTH. I have NEVER been discriminated against until this moment. I work on Brookville Road and deal with a lot of nationalities and I have NEVER! I told my Hispanic coworker and he said next time he'll order for me. I told him no because they can't get my money.

This is a very small restaurant located in the middle of a industrial / warehouse strip of buildings on Brookville Road - I'm guessing that its clientele consists mainly of weekday workers from nearby buildings (though that being said, they were open at 2:00 on a quiet Sunday afternoon). My daughter and I ordered simple quesadillas with rice & beans, along with what appeared to be homemade tamarindo juice. It was all fine, though of course we were hardly testing the chef's talents with our order. I agree with other reviewers who commented on the prices - they're probably about 10% too high for what you get.Nevertheless it's nice enough, and if you're up this neighborhood with half an hour to kill, you might drop in for a simple meal or snack. They have a bar too, which, while modest, could provide you at least with a margarita.

I had some time to kill while waiting for my new tires to be installed down the street, so thank god it was here...so for that, they get 2 stars alone! This area is a vast wasteland of restaurants, in a mostly industrial area with granite and supply stores, and yes, a tire shop. For that reason alone, the prices should be a bit lower! Maybe they get an after work crowd, but at 1pm, I was the only person in here. I ordered the tacos al carbon (with beef). And that's all I got. 3 small white corn tortillas with some chopped up beef, tasteless chopped onions and some cilantro thrown in for color. That's it...no cheese, no sour cream, no guac. Now I'm sure I could have asked for it, but it wasn't even suggested. I did get the customary basket o chips with some sort of warm juice/salsa. It was strange. There is a small outdoor dining area (picnic benches). But it's not a pretty view on this street, so I bet it's just a working man's after work joint. They do have a 3-7pm happy hour - $3 beers, so maybe that's the draw. I would try it again, and get one of the platters to really judge. It was airy, spacious, comfortable, clean and welcoming, so not a total waste.

My daughter and I wanted something simple and easy for dinner so we checked this place out. We'd never had pupsas before so we ordered five different varieties. At just two dollars each the price really can't be beat. They were hot and delicious and very filling. Would have been great with a beer! It's a quiet place. Stick with the basics.

Food was okay. It was mostly a bunch of rice with a small portion of eggs and 2 pieces of plantain. I was disappointed that the little bit of eggs came with pieces of eggshells.

I like to eat where the locals do. You get the best food for the best price. Nothing fancy here, just good Salvadoran food.
