El Gran Pollo

I tried this place two weeks ago and was amazed at how good their chicken is. I was in a hurry and just got a chicken quesadilla to tide me over. What a shock, best quesadilla I ever had. Now Im back trying other stuff off the menu.

It was okay. Good food but not great.Had the taco salad with steak. Bathroom was clean but no hand soap.

El Gran Pollo was just okay. I got the chicken burrito & bf had the chicken burrito bowl. Oh and I also got plantains (which they initially forgot but thankfully I checked the bag before I left.) Bf liked his bowl. He's been here a couple of times before and always enjoys. This was my first time and might have to head on back to chipotle lol. Which sucks because I wanted authentic Hispanic food. The flavors were somewhat there. The plantain wasn't ripe!!! How does one fry unripe plantain :-( :-( :-( I might, key word MIGHT, try again.

I was in the area and hungry for lunch and my sister highly recommended this spot. They used to have a location in Cockeysville that is unfortunately temporarily closed due to a fire. This new location is spacious, clean, and has great food. I got the quarter chicken platter with white meat, brussel sprouts, and yucca fries. Each platter comes with sides and each side looks so good you'll definitely have a hard time deciding. I also got some green sauce and white sauce too. The chicken was super flavorful, moist, and fell right off the bone. It was sooo good! The brussels had a surprising kick to them and were nice and tender. The yucca fries took an extra few minutes to come out since they were frying them up fresh for us and it was worth the wait! They have several locations but the food doesn't taste like a chain, if you know what I mean. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone craving some delicious Peruvian style chicken.

Another good lunch from El Gran Polo of Timonium , Md .The Cheese Quesadilla had a generous amount of cheese . The steak Tacos were great . Plenty of seating for diners but the people who work there are not super friendly .

Don't ignore those mail flyers, y'all! I received a flyer for the grand opening of El Gran Pollo in Timonium that offered a free 1/4 Peruvian Chicken meal with two sides. Free is my favorite four letter word. And favorite F word. I stopped in during the promotional timeframe and ordered the 1/4 meal with mashed potatoes and plantains. I bought another meal with brussels sprouts and rice. The first guy I encountered seemed bored and tired of taking the flyer from customers. He literally swiped it from my hand and put the chicken in the container. I had to tell him I wanted to purchase another meal. The cashier, Giselle, was very sweet and professional though. Her positive vibe enhanced the close out encounter. The chicken was muy rico! It was seasoned just right and meaty. The brussels were...interesting. I'm not sure what seasoning they used, but they were delicious! The plantains were also very good. I make my own plantains so I'm picky about how they are prepared. These were perfect - soft, fried through and flavorful. Plenty of open seating here with booths, fountain and bottle sodas, and lots of sides to choose from. Definitely will return.

You walk into this place, and you are transported to a different country! The chicken is delicious, and the large menu is suitable for the entire family. It is also reasonably priced and fast!

Mom and I came here for lunch twice in the last two weeks. Same thing both times. 1/4 chicken from rotisserie. Dark meat for mama and white for me. Sides were salad, chaufa rice, creamed spinach and a pasta side normally not on the menu. Chicken was moist, tender, hot(warm), and delicious. I wouldn't get the spinach again but everything else was terrific. Side sauces are really good too. Mom likes the mild. BTW, get a glass bottle Coke (Mexican) and a canned one too. Have a taste test. I predict you'll be selling your Coke shares after you taste how good Coke tasted back in my day as the Mexican one nails it.

This place is a lovely new addition to Baltimore County. Tasty food, very friendly staff, and numerous options to choose from. Support this local business!

We did takeout recently and the food was of good quality. The portions were substantial and the cooking of obvious care and experience. We look forward to eating there again.
