Service is improving, bathrooms are cleaner (still not using it other than to wash my hands) impressed with how people have been following CDC guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic. The food is consistently excellent, great Central American food. Service still a little slow but it's part of the experience I guess lol their churrasco is great, awesome grilled smoky flavor.

Less than 8 days ago, I decided to pay another visit to the El Dorado restaurant in Hyattsville Maryland to pick up some steak for my husband and I when I was visiting with him. We both again liked the steak and I also enjoy the pico de gallo and lime that come with the steak orders. The employees handling my order were polite and processed my order in a reasonable timeframe.

Food was horrible and the waitress was rude. I got the bistec encebollado but it lacked flavor. Everything required salt for it to be good. I didn't finish my food and asked for a to go box. It took the waitress forever to bring the box and process our payment. When she finally came she brought me a dirty box. I swear, it looked used. I asked for another box and she snatched the other box from me. All in all horrible experience. I am never going there again.

It's quaint, tasty and friendly. food is good and authentic. I had a seafood soup! The broth was rich and full of seafood! $12 was high for it in my opinion. At least it was very tasty!

Tried calling in my order a couple of times, but promptly was hung up on. So, I got my Spanish speaking co-worker to call in my order for me to pick up for my dinner break. Evidently, they did not speak English well enough to take the call. They told her the order should be ready in about 15 minutes. They were given my name and work number. I told the lady at the register my name and that I was there to pick up a to-go-order. She told me she didn't speak English. It seemed that no one working there at the time spoke English. It took more time then I expected to go there on my dinner break, so at this point, I was starting to get a little upset. I made a comment about how this is the USA, and that they are taking American money and American bank cards, and doing business here, someone should be able to communicate in English. Finally, a man came over and translated. I paid for my food with an American bank card. The food was tasty, but I would say the service was poor, and probably prejudiced. I am a middle aged professional black female.
