El Buen Gusto is one of the few places in the sit-down (or to go) places that offers breakfast before 8 am. The restaurant has a mix of breakfast items from the US and from Latin America. Since this was my 1st visit, I decided to go with some flair "from" the US by ordering the Breakfast Platter, which came with 2 eggs, homefries, bacon and toast for about $11. To be perfectly honest, I went with a US breakfast bc I did not know what a lot of things were in the display case. However, many of the items did look delicious. While my breakfast platter was fine, I expected a bit more potatoes. Also, I requested eggs over easy but received eggs over medium (a minor issue, not worth making too much of a fuss). The service was pretty standard. Perhaps, I will return to try some of the Latin American breakfast items.

Solid breakfast place in Wheaton nice service and good food. Would recommend the more traditional latin breakfast items over American breakfast sandwiches but both were good. This time I got breakfast sandwich since they were out sausage egg and cheese. Had good flavor but was under seasoned so it needed a little more salt and pepper since it was kinda bland unfortunately. It was made fresh on freshly baked bread so it was worth it overall.

When you are up at 4am and need a place to grab breakfast or lunch for later in the day...this is it! They are up making food 24/7 and it's amazing watching 9 women cooking at 4 in the morning with the efficiency of a well oiled machine. I had just left the PF nearby, but most of the patrons we're migrants workers picking up thier lunch for the day. The bus stop was across the street and my car was literally the one or two cars in the parking lot. The food was excellent and made from scratch. There was a language barrier and I was not really sure where to order. They have two or three counters. But after my confusion and bewilderment at what I was experiencing wore off I figured it out. They sell so many items and I just refuse to eat fast food so me and my non fast food eating self had to go to an ethnic restaurant at 4am. My Spanish is college level and quit useless if I may say so myself. But I mustered up a few number and words to get my point across. All in all it was an experience. There was also a semi homeless man with a cart outside the facility taking it easy inside the facility. But I've visited many countries and these things don't bother me.

I visited here on a whim hoping they had good soup. I misunderstood the menu as I thought I was ordering roasted hen soup. Instead, I actually received was roasted chicken quarter over rice with vegetable soup on the side. So of course, I mixed everything up into the bowl of soup... It was OK. The other item I noticed of concern was the buffet table near the front topped with 10 or more dirty dishes. Hopefully they will address soon.

Happy to have another option in Wheaton that opens early! I think the doors might open at 4AM. You can arrive and pour yourself a cup of coffee as soon as the doors open, but you may not be able to pay for your coffee or order breakfast food until 4:30.Example breakfast food items and early 2022 prices: scrambled eggs with veggies and ham ($3), beans ($2.5), rice ($2.5), tamal de elote ($2), plaintains ($2), and crema ($1).

Look no further if you want to find authentic El Salvadorian cuisine. Pupusas, tapas, soups! Rice dishes such as pollo asada and carne asada. A branch off store from the main one based in Langley Park, this restaurant provides the same excellent level of customer service the original does. This is definitely the place for a quick bite if you are looking for spanish related cuisine.

The restaurant is very clean and staff is friendly. I usually get the Carne Guisada and it's delicious. The entrees are generous in portion and come with delicious sides as well. Whenever I am craving for some comfort food that tastes like they were home made I come here. My kids love their large selection of deserts as well, especially the tres leches. Can't go wrong with this place.
