Delicious food, at a reasonable price, all provided with friendly service in a cozy atmosphere, nothing more you could ask for.My wife and I stopped her for lunch at the recommendation of a friend in the area. Pleasantly surprised to receive complementary chips and salsa (a low-cost choice that ALWAYS wins me over) which we enjoyed while perusing the [large] menu.Ultimately I got chicken tacos and my wife got the shrimp special (don't remember what it was called) and we were both very happy with our orders. Looking forward to coming back soon.

We had a blast at El Agave! It was the perfect way to start our holiday weekend. The restaurant had such a festive atmosphere, and it was buzzing with people. As soon as we sat down, we were treated to crispy chips and salsa, which kept us satisfied until our drinks arrived. Speaking of drinks, we tried their traditional margaritas and the Mexican Mule made with tequila, and they were absolutely delicious. When our food arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. The dishes were served piping hot and sizzling with flavor. We ordered the Quesabirria, which was a half portion quesadilla filled with birria de res, cheese, onions, and cilantro, served with consommé broth on the side. It was a mouthwatering combination of flavors. We also tried the Fajitas Mixtas, a delightful combination of sautéed chicken, beef, fresh shrimp, grilled peppers, and onions. The sizzling platter was a feast for the senses. And of course, we couldn't resist the Enchiladas. We had three enchiladas of our choice, topped with either ranchero or spicy tomatillo sauce and cheese, and served with rice and beans. It was the perfect comfort food. One thing we really appreciated about El Agave was the reasonable prices. The food was not only delicious but also affordable. The restaurant had a nice family vibe, and there were plenty of parking spots available. El Agave is a good spot for anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and a fun atmosphere.

Awesome small lowkey food spot. Really nice bar and very attentive staff. The drinks were really good and the food was excellent. The prices are not bad at all especially for the good serving sizes they provide. I recommend if you want a nice small authentic mexican spot for happy hour or for a nice dinner.

Stopped by to meet a friend here after leaving UMBC. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they had all day happy hour on Wednesdays. I ordered a grande margarita, flautas, and a half quesadilla. Everything was delicious. The service was prompt and attentive. I would definitely return again when I'm in the area.

The food was soo good. The only con is too much jalapeño peppers. If it wasn't for that, they'd get a perfect score.

Though El Agave may appear to be vacant, rundown or just a widdle sad on the outside--it is a legit FIESTA inside (your taste buds will thank you). You're immediately welcomed, seated and plated chips and salsa. Make note that you can get whatever type of salsa you want here! They even have HOT HOT HOT stuff for those who like to feel the burn. The food menu is long, so be sure to order a margarita while you decide on your dish. Service is fast and they are quite attentive. If you there on a Tuesday, get the tacos! If not, the fajitas and enchiladas are SO DAMN GOOD. Do it! Do it! Try it all =)

Good taco meat. Clean restaurant. Service was good and felt really taken care of. First basket of chips and salsa was free but anymore after that is a charge which is weird.

Good for family, date nights, or grabbing a quick bite and margarita at the bar. We really like this place! The chips and salsa are always fresh, the fajitas sizzle, and the pinto beans are so delicious along with everything else.

Great margaritas. Authentic Mexican food. I recently went JUST for a frozen mango margarita. Heads up - the fresh mango is an additional line item charge. That said, it is FRESH MANGO!We both ordered chimichangas. They were ok. The yellow rice and refried beans were outstanding! Monday is margarita night and of course, Tuesday is Taco Night! It's a step up from a neighborhood bar. I wish it was in walking distance! Forgive me for not posting pictures. I forgot
