Italian Soda - Vanilla CreamLight, creamy and refreshing. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. They have simple syrup available for use, if you want to increase the sweetness.#ThisFeedsMySoulStatusConferred#CynBitesPizza Slice - Quattro Formaggio & Pepperoni Thin crust, I loved that it wasn't over mixed, leaving the dough airy and soft. Fresh milled in house for really sets this pie apart from other places. Cheeses were flavorful, large slice for the price. Pepperoni slice was covered in pepperoni! A tad more sauce would've been nice, cause I like sauce.Arancini - Palermo 1 large ball is what is provided. Rice was a tad gummy. I liked the presence of wine being forward on the taste to combat the gummy rice. Good amount of cheese on the inside. I tasted barely any sausage. The marinara was the star of the show, smooth, thick and delicious. Caesars saladI loved the homemade croutons. The dressing has a garlic bite that was good. I should've asked for a tad more dressing, as I like salad with more than a coating. Great staff that are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Location Street parking. A handful of seats inside. I love the sustainability practices and milling your own wheat berries to create your own flour is a special bonus!

I had seen Doppio Pasticceria on social media through a friend and I was in the mood for some baked goods so I came by around 10:45 am on a Sunday morning. There are precisely 3 parking spots at the bakery with free street parking also available (though be sure to check signage for restrictions!). There is also very limited (and coveted!) seating so you should expect to take your items to-go, and for drinks they do not offer any lids in an attempt to limit their use of plastic but this of course will leave your hot drinks become cold very rapidly. When I came, the line was massive, nearly out the door so it took me about 15 minutes just to order. Secondly, they do not rebake most of their items once they sell out, so once they are gone, they are GONE for the day so you absolutely must come early. I was very disappointed to see that virtually every single item on the bakery menu was sold out though they did rebake the bourekas so I was able to grab a fresh warm one of these. Chocolate Spice Biscotti 1.5/5, strangely soft and large, did not taste like a traditional hard biscotti, reminded me of chocolate cake in its softness, would not order again London fog 4/5, the Earl Grey is strong here, this was a nice drink that I would reorderBoureka 5/5, I have had many a boureka in my life. This one was more unique through their use of goat cheese which added a pleasant tang to the pastry and I would order this again.

Baltimore Bakery Crawl stop #6 of seven places! My best friend, her college bestie, her husband, and I spent Sunday 2/2 exploring different Baltimore bakeries. I tried two things here, so this review is based on that!At this point in the crawl we were looking for a "palate cleanser" so went with an arancini formaggio. It was a funny pick, but we were pleased. Everyone really enjoyed the cheesy excellence of this risotto ball. It was one giant ball that we split.I love all the natural lighting that pours into this space. There are plenty of tables to sit at. You order at the front then sit wherever. We also tried the lemon ricotta cookie. One of us was wishing there was anise in the cookie. I liked it for the most part. It was very lemony. I'd be excited to return to try other things on their menu.

Checked out their new and permanent space. Cozy spot with three or so tables with bar seating. There's a waiting bench across from the entrance. The staff is friendly. When we went, their pizza oven was broken, so they were only doing plain and pepperoni slices, not pies. The Caesar salad was pretty good, but they ran out of the crispy chicken skin. I also got their arancini, which was good. We ordered two plain slices and a slice of pepperoni. I definitely prefer the pies over the slices. I've been to their other locations as well, all in all a great option for some Sicilian cuisine. My favorite thing from my most recent visit was their panna cotta. Also, every item is made from freshly milled flour from PA grown, organic wheat. My wife with a gluten sensitivity can eat whatever she wants here and not feel terrible the next day. It's one of her favorite spots.

I finally got to visit this charming little cafe! My first visit was during the holidays, so I didn't get to try many of their pastries. They don't offer almond milk--only oat milk--so I opted for an Americano instead of my usual latte. The Americano was excellent! The only pastry left that day was the chestnut bun, which I absolutely loved. It had a perfectly crusted top, and the filling was delicious. I also tried their pepperoni pizza, which was solid. To my surprise, they brought out a freshly baked olive cake just as I was leaving, so I grabbed one to go--and it was amazing. Very moist and flavorful! On my second visit, I went with my husband. I was craving their pizza again and wasn't disappointed--it was just as delicious as the first time! I also tried their pistachio latte, which was very tasty. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich, but he wasn't a fan. The chicken was deep-fried, and he found it a bit dry with not much sauce. He ended up using the sauce from my arancini, which I really enjoyed. It was a different take on arancini, but I loved it.For pastries, I tried the cannoli and the fried donut this time, but neither impressed me. I think it's because I'm not a fan of ricotta-filled cannoli, and the donut's filling was a bit odd for my taste. However, the chestnut bun remains a standout--I had to get another one to-go!Service was decent. The gentleman at the counter was pleasant, but the main lady working there wasn't very friendly, which was a bit disappointing.Overall, I think this cafe has a lot of potential. Their coffee is excellent, and their pizza is a must-try. The olive cake and chestnut bun are definitely my favorites. I'll be coming back for sure!

Back again at the previously JBGB location. Same good coffee and beyond-tasty cakes. We went there for my birthday morning coffee and dessert. Didn't let me down. The olive cake was super delicious. Not overly sweet, but spongy and full of orange aroma (thanks to orange peel). Layers of cannoli cream were definitely the highlight.I like the place too, although it's not fully decorated. Enough table and place for us to enjoy the beautiful morning sunshine and a great day.

We popped in for an afternoon pick me up. First time here and it seems to be an establishment that offers both pizza and pastries during the day. We had just eaten lunch at R House so didn't get to check out the pizza. The place itself is massive but I would say 60% of the store was not being used to house/sit guests and looked to be used for storage only for pizza boxes, supplies, etc. I don't know if they moved there recently but if not and they have been here a while.. its not a great look...In fact the exterior of the building still prominently displays JBGB signage which could be confusing. The part of the store that is sitting customers is nice and inviting though. Only weird part for me was that. Maybe they have a good reason for it.The service was fine and the pastries we got were delicious. As was the pistachio cappuccino. I would absolutely come back again for the food alone.

Well I don't know how I missed Doppio as I've been to R House a few times. They popped up on a search as I was looking for a new Cafe to try. I missed their temporary sign and only saw the JbGb sign and decided to stop and make sure they existed. Good decision! They moved into this location in June, 2024.Parking is mainly street and luckily found a space quickly. It looked like they had more outdoor seating than indoor. Always a good sign when a coffee shop makes their own syrup. The Pistachio (with house made Pistachio syrup) Cappucino looked good but unfortunately they were sold out. More will be made tonight so will be available tomorrow. Went with a Dark Mocha with Oat milk. Rich chocolate flavors vs sugar- just the way I like it-delicious!Ordered a Muffaleta-cold sandwich. I warmed it up at home and it was excellent! House-made Giardinera & enjoyed whole grain Focaccia which isn't your usual Muffaleta bread. They also have pizza-for now, only 16" Pies and slices. To try and for sharing, went with slices-regularly have Cheese and Pepperoni and the special for the day was Quattro Formaggi. Thinner/NY style crust with lighter sauce and good balance of cheese and toppings. Who knew a Cafe/Bakery could produce legit pizza?!But wait there's more...For dessert it was Maritozzo (you don't see this one everywhere-must try!) Brioche heaven filled with decadent cream, fig spread and topped with Figs. Wow! Second dessert-buttery/flaky crust sandwich cookie with grape filling and sesame seeds-forgot the name but no matter -both were delicious!Friendly and engaged people that were patient with my questions. Be prepared to take your coffee cup without a lid as they don't do single use plastic which is cool. Saw Arancini, and some other interesting sandwiches, desserts and Coffee creations so plenty of reasons to return. They will not be a Remington neighborhood hidden gem for long!

If you're in need of a neighborhood cafe to get your Sicilian baked goods and coffee here in Baltimore, then look no further than Doppio Pasticceria.A quaint cafe with a comfy vibe for your routine grab and go fare, or for a cappuccino and pastry while you leisurely enjoy your day. The fresh baked pastries are delicious and not too sweet. Using their own blend of fresh milled flour, which you can also purchase for use at home, I think is what sets their pastries apart from others here in the city. Aside from pastries and sandwiches, they also bake up slices of pizza, which I'm looking forward to trying. The staff is friendly, the pastries are enticing, and the cappuccinos are tasty. What else could you ask for. Doppio Pasticceria is currently setting up shop in the old JBGB spot but will be moving to their permanent location soon.
