Don Pollo

I had to make a unexpected visit and I was hungry and wanted something eat and this place caught my attention .I definitely would recommend Don Pollo, what a delicious flavor, a pleasant place and a super friendly staff, I also ordered to take home and look at this wow , I will be back !!! super delicious! recommended .

This chicken is amazing! We stumbled upon this restaurant when we found ourselves unexpectedly in the area for car maintenance. Thanks to Yelp reviewers for pointing us in the right direction! This location is toward the far end of the strip mall. You order at the counter, and the cashier helped make suggestions on what to order. She even gave us a free container of mixed veggies! The portions were huge and everything was delicious. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender, fries were crispy, mashed potatoes creamy, veggies crisp but flavorful, and the salad was crispy. There is limited seating inside but plenty of space for the family. We order 2 quarter chicken white meat meals with two sides each for three of us and had leftovers to spare. Highly recommend!

Ordered Don Pollo to go as I've always wanted to try this restaurant for a while now, just never had the chance to! I ordered the fiesta for four, which comes with a whole chicken and 4 sides. For the sides I got their steak fries and their chaufa rice (fried rice). The chicken was okay, it was seasoned well, but I've had better. I loved the chaufa rice, it was absolutely delicious! The fries were okay as well, have had better. The meal comes with 2 large sauces (mild yellow and spicy green sauce). Overall the service was good, I ordered over the phone and picked up in person within 15-20 min. Compared to other locations in Wheaton where they have an array of Peruvian restaurants, this location is okay. I do like the fact that they offer fried rice. If I don't feel like driving 15 minutes to Wheaton, this is a good option that's 5 minutes away from me.

I needed to take a break from Sardis and the chicken here is just as good! It's located in the heart of downtown Silver Spring and is affordable and filling. They give you plenty of food so you'll definitely have some tasty leftover!

I ordered pickup on the phone and Dina took my order. i ordered my usual delicious complete chicken, plantains, cole slaw, and fries. i felt rather rushed off the phone and tried to tell her that i wanted white meat not dark before she hung up on me. Unfortunately, i didnt have time to call back to check. When it was time to pick up my order, i kindly asked if the chicken was white or dark meat but it was dark she said, she said you didn't tell me what kind of meat you wanted, rather rudely, i replied, you didnt ask, you didn't give me the time, you hung up while i was about to tell you. she replied, no i didn't - arrogantly. I told her that is absolutely not true. She continued to deny and I told her that is really not good customer service and she replied she didn't really think so because she has changed my order upon my request of change to white meat to dark meat. She acted as if she was doing me a favor and this was very degrading, especially after paying so much money.

We ordered this for delivery, not expecting much because the price for a whole chicken & two sides was 19.99!It was so good and juicy & way better that any Roasted Chicken I've had out here. The green spicy sauce!!! So fresh and delicious!I've never liked any sauces from sardis, so this was so nice to find because I love sauces!!Everything was seasoned perfectly We had the beans with rice and the plantains.Our new fav chicken spot

Now there is Don Pollo.My notes say - pretty yummy chicken, cheap, not bad at all, sauces were just fine, service friendly.Considering that it is one of the less heralded places for Peruvian chicken in the area, it was actually pretty impressive. Definitely more Salvadoran than it is Peruvian, but absolutely worth your time, and they were pretty friendly as well which was an added bonus.So if you're driving by, Pollo-ver to the side and try this out.

El dia domingo 24 de noviembre se compro un pollo y yo no se como tienen el atrevimiento de vender pollo guardado ya al dia siguiente ese pollo apestaba horrible, lamentablemente solo mis sobrinos comieron el pollo y se encuentran mal an estado vomitando al punto de ir al hospital todo por vender pollo en esas condiciones

I order on Uber it and I put the wrong address so I canceled immediately and they still charged me for the food that I never get. Crazy.

Amazing food!! Very quick service, cheap prices, clean environment, and great staff. Will be coming here again and telling everyone about it! Thank you guys!
