We have been going here over the years. At times, this place could be a little loud. In general, the service is good. Food is good. They have burger of the week, special menu and a regular menu. The ceasar dressing is amazing- very garlicky! Thai lettuce wrap- delicious. Shrooms & Wild Rice Soup hit the spot. Nachos were nice and simple.Overall, this is a solid place for dinner.

I used to come here fairly frequently because of the great beer and two decent plant-based meal options -- the hummus platter, which was delicious with warm pita and fresh veggies, and the Beyond Burger, which was usually pretty well-prepared. However, first the burger and then the hummus platter disappeared from the menu, meaning there are no plant-based options anymore. Most restaurants these days are adding plant-based options rather than removing them, so this was a disappointing change. It's unfortunate because Dogfish Head is otherwise a great place to meet for food and drinks. I especially enjoyed the outdoor seating. And of course the beer is great. But with nothing to eat without having to make my own cheeseless pizza (or remove most of the additions to the various salads), I don't think I'll return.EDIT: Thanks for replying, Payton. I was told on two separate occasions that the Beyond Burger was no longer available, and it's also not on the menu. Adding that to the menu would be a big step to attracting people who eat plant-based, as would adding more than one vegan option. However, I'm glad to hear it's back and will definitely return. Thanks again!

Clean atmosphere and nice ambiance. Off to a fabulous start with our waiter Steve! Super attentive and delightful personality. Lots of suggestions early without being pushy. Our party of 4 was ready to eat. We got the Chicken Pot Pie Special. It was deconstructed and excellent! We licked the plate clean. Light garlicky aftertaste was the bomb! The Rustic Burger with blue cheese was indeed perfectly cooked and the Salmon were delicious as well! I will be returning! Thanks for the recommendations, Steve!

One of my favorite spots for lunch and dinner. I normally get the Mac and cheese with the veggies on the side. The nachos are delicious too. Friendly service

I'll never understand and always appreciate the local taverns, bars and restaurants they never seem to close but are not good restaurants for real. This place is like Yard House's not so successful step cousin. But if steak and cheese egg rolls are your jam (they are kinda mine) then go for it. The service is cool.

Dogfish Head Alehouse is a community treasure. No matter when I go, or what I order, it is delicious. The service is excellent. The staff gives you plenty of time to decide on your order and great recommendations, when you ask for them. I love the warmth, dark woods, and Cheers Bar vibes that I get when I enter. They have a large bar area and high top and low tables, for seating. I ordered the fish and chips. It was epic! Perfectly fried french fries. I savored each morsel. Then, the fish was impeccably fried and the breading was scrumptious! I also had enough leftover to eat the next day. My son, ordered the blackened chicken sandwich. He really enjoyed his too. There were no leftovers on his plate. They have the best selection of beer and many are seasonal variations. I had a glass of wine. It was a generous pour, light and refreshing. We had a lovely time and delicious lunch.

Decided to try something different this time since I usually get the buffalo chicken sando. Their sausage on pretzel bun special sounded good, and came covered in sauerkraut, banana peppers, and a side of chili. Not bad, but it was way to bready. I love a good pretzel bun, but after a side of chips and nachos to start, I had to tap out. Sausage was good though.

Had a disappointing food experience last night after coming here for years. Starting with the beer- was great as always. Had both pilsners, enjoyed them both. Food on the other hand- got the crispy chicken salad and fish & chips. The portions of the chicken & fish were really lacking. 5 small chicken pieces and the fish pieces were much smaller than usual. I am really not a fan of restaurants shrinking portion sizes, just raise prices if you must and keep portions where they were.

While they don't ever seem to have all the beers and stuff listed in the menu actually available in the restaurant, it is still a great place, with decent prices and some really good food.

Very disappointed I ordered the the Alehouse Trio and asked for all Grouper with the shrimp . The server returned and told me it would be $5.00 extra and I told him that's what I expected . When my meal arrived it didn't look right. I ate the the shrimp and half of one of fish fillettes. I told my server that it was Cod not Grouper he called the manager. She insisted that it was Grouper. The two fish have a totally different texture I know the difference. She took the extra. $5.00 off my bill, and took away the rest of my meal!! I paid for a meal I never got too finish! I make a special Long trip to go there, but I don't think it will happen again anytime soon. From epic food to disaster!!!
