Maybe the meatloaf is a specialty, but the chili cheese dog is awesome!! Something in the chili is different, but special-different. I'm kinda addicted to chili dogs, this is one of the best. Better than Stuggy's, up there with the Academy in Atlanta... to make it even better, do the fries with gravy, there's lots of gravy and a perfect match with the dog. No seating, but a bunch of high-tops to eat inside, and seems like all the other customers are happy and friendly... this food will make anyone happy!!!!The folks there are great, really the kind of folks where you're happy to be there. Wish I lived closer!

When I heard a restaurant called the dog house I immediately thought of a hot dog. I figured that would be perfect for lunch today. I looked at the pictures and there were hotdogs pictured.I decided to take the trip. Let me first say that this place is in the hood next to the detention center so go during the day.When I went in the cook and the lady at the counter were very friendly. I proceeded to ask the lady if hotdogs were their specialty and they said no the meatloaf was..She said people come from all over for their meatloaf sandwiches.Ok.. well if you go somewhere and they specialize in something why not give it a shot. You can't go wrong right?!Wrong!! The picture of the meatloaf sandwich looks tasty but the actual taste of the sandwich was anything but tasty.The texture was quite mushy and the color had a odd red tint to it and the cheese wasn't melted. The meat was like mystery meat...Needless to say I took one bite and was totally done!I should've followed my gut and tried the hot dog. I can't say that I will be back!

Fast friendly service and most importantly... Great food!!! I always find myself going back to the Reuben but I can honestly say I haven't had a bad item from the menu. Whether it's breakfast or lunch, everything is fantastic and there are so many options to choose from. Thank you Dog House, I'll be back soon!

I came here on a co-workers recommendation and I'm glad I did! I got a simple egg & cheese on a bagel and now I'm hooked. It tasted way better than some other bagel places in the area. The lady at the front desk is very patient and friendly... I believe it's a family owned business that has been around for a while. I'll be back soon to try their lunch sandwiches :)

Great little carryout to grab a quick lunch from. Its kind of hidden behind another business and hard to see unless you know where you are going. They get you in and out pretty quick and the staff are friendly. They have a few tables for you to stand at and eat if you plan to dine in. Not much of a parking lot outside, only enough for 6 cars at a time. Overall its somewhere I would stop at for a quick lunch if I was in the neighborhood.

I started going to this spot when I was working in the City. This was my go to place for an egg and cheese on rye with scrapple. The sandwich is always perfect. Owners are friendly and the place is clean and the cooks know what they are doing. Some folks commented that it's not in the best area, but what does that matter. Just because it's next to a homeless shelter and a jail doesn't make it unsafe. In fact, it's much safer than most spots in the City. The food is great and supporting a small business is important. I'm retired now and don't go into the City much anymore, but if I do, I'm stopping by for a sandwich!!!

This place is located between a housing project , detention center, homeless shelter . Once you get past the state employees parking lot where there are security guards, then it can get a little sketchy and that's the truth. Further down there are Maryland state police every morning so that the employees can get to work safely. Now with that said, The people usually don't bother you but it's not a bad idea to go in a group and be aware of your surroundings. The food is decent and priced well.
