My family has been buying from Doc's for well over 20 years. I remember as a kid I always wanted to come inside while my parent picked up an order because there was a jar of pretzel rods on the counter. The market itself is tiny, but everything from soups and bread, lunch meat and ground beef to marinated chicken and chateaubriand is high quality and served by a friendly face. Doc's prepared meatballs and meatloaf are probably still the best I've ever had even compared to restaurants and home cooking (sorry, MomMom).

First time coming here and had a great experience. I came looking for soup bones and a gentleman helped me and even offered to cut the bones into pieces for me! Great service and reasonable prices. Highly recommend and will be returning.

Good butcher with quality meat. Prices are on higher side than supermarket but you get what you pay for. Most if not all products are farm raised or organic.

For a tiny place they have a huge selection of frozen meats, dinners, and soups. We just got their fresh hamburger meat and it is better than anything you can get at a grocery store and about the same price. The steak cuts are still expensive but the hamburger is super high quality. Two of my relatives don't even like to eat meat much and they were commenting on how good the hamburger was.

Horrible service. Bought $18 pack of meatballs. Next morning saw some brown on them and noticed that the pack/sell-by date was 2 days out of date. Didn't want to serve them. Left for travel, came home, called business and asked if they can do anything for me. They wouldn't budge. Dumb. I spend tons there around holidays. Won't go there again.

I have never bought anything I have been disappointed with. We frequently buy the rotisserie chicken and usually have 2meals from it. We have bought crab cakes, salmon and lunch meat and cheese. We love the meatballs. The kabobs are particularly delicious.

Go for the steaks, stay for everything else.Meat is top quality. I don't mind paying extra for it, as anymore, meats from regular grocery store are all but inedible. If they don't have it out, they will cut (and in my case stuffed pork chops) stuff it while you wait.Good selection of ready to cook meats and ready to heat prepared meals.Only wish they would put cooking temps and times for some of the ready to cook meats (chicken cordon bleu, stuffed pork chops....)Staff is super friendly and accomodating.

So happy to have Doc's close by. During quarantine we were doing a lot more home cooking and experimenting with recipes. Whenever I went to Doc's and asked for something specific they accommodated with great customer service. Thin cut pork chops- no problem. Bone-in pork shoulder- how many pounds would you like? Great customer service. When I went to a local butcher in Kennett Square they were not so accommodating- and tried to tell me what I really wanted.......This is the place to go!!!We also ordered our Thanksgiving Turkey from them (yes, it was a while ago!) and ordering process was easy, pick-up during COVID was really organized. Highly recommend!!!

Just tried their chicken pot pie, made at the store. It was some of the best comfort food I've had in ages. Full of vegetables & chicken chunks & covered with a tasty crust.Staff was helpful and friendly.
