Diasporan Soul

I recently moved to the Waltherson neighborhood and went looking for a new restaurant and came across Diasporan Soul and omg I'm gonna be a regular!!! This food was soooooo good! I'm a vegetarian so I got the vegan jerked chicken and I got the vegan fried chicken with kale and Mac n cheese and I ate every single bite. I also got some meat eaters in my life a beef patty, curry chicken and jerk chicken and everyone was satisfied. I haven't enjoyed a meal like this in so long. This was a perfect winter day meal to eat inside and warm. I will definitely be back and encourage anyone vegan or not to give this place a try. Thank you!!

The inside was very nice. The customer was not that great. Food was ok, I guess because it was late. The jerk was kind of dry, I had better jerk chicken. I would return to try something else, maybe go earlier.

Best Jamaican food in Baltimore! You see that plate! The atmosphere is nice and top-of-the-line customer service. I will be back and bringing my people's.

So delighted to have gone to Diasporan Soul. The service was friendly and very welcoming. Super friendly! Many plant based options! The cabbage and plant based Mac and cheese overflowed with flavor. So yummy even a couple of days later! Perfect sized servings. The space has lovely energy with books and other items to support spiritual growth. Highly recommend!

This spot shocked me they have some good food and even better vibes cool laid back date in a local neighborhood I love everything I have eaten from here never a disappointment oxtails bomb,brown stew chicken good,jerk chicken good and they also have vitamins and minerals for sale large selection of teas and herbs forsale a real hidden Gem

The jerk chicken is absolutely delicious! Also, how flavorful can cabbage be? Turns out pretty darn flavorful, possibly the best cabbage I've ever had. The rice is also done excellently, sweet and salty. The plantains on top are like a spicy desert! I'm so glad this spot opened in my neighborhood, I will be eating here constantly.

Today was the first time here but the food was fantastic. I had the curry chicken which was bursting with flavor and moist. The rice and peas were perfect. The cabbage was probably my favorite anywhere. My wife had the vegan wings which were very good ( I've never had vegan wings before) I'm uncertain what they were made of but they were so close to chicken I couldn't really tell. The plantains were fresh and were perfectly cooked. Also ate a chicken patty which was simply amazing. I certainly would recommend this to anyone looking for good carribean food. Hats off to Chef Kay!

Sensational. Idk bout the reviews but it's a mom pop and son biz, if you were running a restaurant and everyone's multitasking you'd want grace, so give them grace, bc if it was you you'd understand. The mom is the cook, cleaner and allAround great person, she don't say much, but I feel the love, and why yall need to talk to her anyway she working. Bc I saw a few reviews talking about her cut it out. The food is authentic, energy authentic, everything authentic. The portions are crazy for carry out and even larger for dine in. I LOVE IT. Welcome to the area. . My 3rd time and I haven't been disappointed. If you got an issue they are quick to remedy it. It's all made with love. So be gentle

The food was EXCELLENT. I have gotten takeout a few times but so happy I dined in recently. The portions were even better than takeout and it was nice to have it fresh off the stove. For such a small place they pack BIG flavor in their dishes. The space is also beautiful, they are so much more than just a place for some Jamaican food. They have a solid selection of books and other goodies right by their restaurant section. Will definitely dine in again soon.
