Picture the kind of neighborhood bar where everybody knows each other and they're all having a good time because they enjoy each others' company. That's the vibe. Now, imagine you walk in for the first time and even though they don't know you, they welcome you into the fun and want you to have just as good a time as they're having. That's the level of service. Now, for good measure, imagine they've got some of the best crab cakes you've ever had. That's Daniels.Why only four stars, you ask? Well beyond the crab cakes and french fries, the other menu items we had weren't as good. And the beer list, while certainly not bad, wasn't as diverse as a beer-lover might hope.Is it perfect? No, but it's good enough that I'll definitely be back.

Absolutely enjoyed this place!It has the cozy feel of a neighborhood pub, with friendly service, and great food! The trifecta! You can't go wrong!Loved the crab cake and burger. Also loved the crab dip appetizer.Clean restrooms. Fast, super friendly service.

This place has become part of our family's annual post-Thanksgiving tradition. Every time we've been there, the interactions have created a friendly and welcoming feel. We've gone a couple times with our kids and they always provide coloring books (not those corny sheets that you get in chain restaurants). Oddly, I really appreciate the no profanity signs all around the bar. I'm not sure if it's tongue-in-cheek but it was kind of cool to see. The front of the house and the back picnic table style create two totally different environments. Personally, I prefer the picnic area a little bit more. The picnic area is a lot louder. The area that looks a little more like a restaurant has a lot more viewing options for watching the games.We almost always order burgers when we eat there. We especially like the tricycle. The kids always get Chicken fingers. Nobody has ever complained about the food !I'm not sure how or why, but for some reason the best way to describe this place is just Maryland. Something about the whole vibe and the place and the regulars just feels very very much like Maryland. That's not a bad thing!

First-timers at Daniel's Restaurant & Bar. We found ample parking, especially for motorcycles. It's a haven for veterans and first responders. My Food Experience:- Maryland crab soup - fresh and flavorful but caution on the "HIGH" sodium...- Cheesesteak salad, topped generously with chipped beef, fried onions and melted provolone, was substantial enough to stand as an entree...- Crispy, delish-coated fries...- Perfectly executed burger temperatures...- not to mention *Daniel's chicken wings, fried to perfection and generously sauced, were a five-finger-lickin-delicious affair!!Kudos to Jameson for top-notch service. Live country music in the rear bar adds a lively touch. A good gathering spot for families and friends.

My sister was visiting from Phoenix and she brought me here for dinner. She had already dined here before and really likes the place. I was anticipating a nice dinner and Daniel's Restaurant didn't disappoint either of us. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and WOW, they had flavor that I wasn't expecting. The Maryland crab soup was one of the best crab soups I've ever tasted. The Shrimp salad was excellent too. The front of house staff was pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere was casual and very comfortable. As more patrons arrived, I could see that this is a beloved local hangout. The ample parking lot is in the rear of the restaurant and is well illuminated. Daniel's Restaurant is now one of my two go to spots when I pass through Elkridge.

The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star was the service was a little slow, however, the server did come by and apologize for the slowness. She kept my cup full of coffee, the food was excellent and the place was packed. A great neighborhood find. I want to come back for a bacon cheese burger!

After trying this place out twice for breakfast on the weekend, then hitting it up again late enough for one of us to get breakfast and one of us (me) to get something off their lunch menu, I feel like it's worth another trip.The two times we dined for breakfast, we were in the front bar area which seemed cramped and loud. On this last visit, we entered through the back addition and sat in there. It's a very nicely done large area with a bar and extra large picnic tables. Nice and airy and lots of windows and some cool music playing.I really liked my chicken quesadilla and my guy liked his breakfast. I think we'll be going here again soon. The staff was also very nice and welcoming.

Went to Daniels tonight to try out their Trivia Night. I'm a veteran and we are an easy table to wait on and over-tip by habit. Daniels totally missed the boat tonight due to poor service and attitude. The bartender was a total attitude trainwreck. She ruined the night for our table of 7. Drinks were late, when asked she would blame the sever saying the drinks had been made and sitting on the bar for 5 minutes - mind you, she wasn't busy and was talking to her regulars. When approached for ketchup, she made me move to the end of the bar and then walked away with no comment. When I approached the sever, she then finally asked what I needed. We're regulars at Caton Tavern, we were hoping to transfer our regular Trivia team night to Daniels, you can blame the bartender for a crappy experience and the loss of a future weekly $400 tab.

Ridden past this hidden gem for many years, but never had the opportunity to stop. One chilly Saturday, we went in after a bike show, and we were pleasantly surprised. The rough and tumble bar you see from the street masks a decent bar and grill that seems to have been recently renovated on the inside. They also have an outdoor stage and olé the of parking. The food was top notch, with the hamburger being the best I've had in a very long time. The drinks were poured on the generous side, but had more flavor than power. I'm looking forward to my next visit, probably after a long ride on the bike. The service was AMAZING, with our orders coming out promptly, and our server getting the order corrected with speed and no attitude when one sandwich was wrong.

Love this place...The food is great and the family owned locals vibe can't be beat. Staff is always friendly/helpful with great menu offerings as well. Frequently have really good music and many special events throughout the year!
