This is a nice spot to get a decent cup of coffee, but the food is something to be desired. I was not expecting too much from a university campus cafe. They do have an incredible ferrero rocher latte that I always get. The service could be a bit better. The guys behind the countertop are not pleasant, but I don't really look for pleasantries, just good coffee. Even during its peak hours it's never overly packed and crowded. The lunch sandwiches go fast so if you want one, get one early.

a really convenient place for small meals and pastries throughout the day if you're in the building. the quality isn't outstanding or anything but my expectations for a school cafe aren't that high anyway. the sandwiches are actually pretty decent tasting and fairly priced. they aren't super filling but they get me through my classes in a day. the chocolate chip cookie was really good but I'm not sure if it was worth $3. I've had the matcha latte & berry blended drink from here - wouldn't recommend either. the matcha latte did not taste good at all and there wasn't much of a matcha taste. the berry blended drink contained no real fruits. it was just ice and berry juice...overall, it's become my go-to spot for a small bite when I'm at school!

Popular with the public health folks, given it's in the public health building. The cashiers always friendly, and finding a table is usually not a problem (except during lunch). Not that much in terms of options but a decent portion of the packaged foods (salads, fruit, yogurt) is healthy. All in all, an average office cafe with high traffic.

Their coffee is really diluted. It's practically hot water with coffee flavor, not brewed coffee. Giving them one extra star because of their location.

I'm pretty sure they just violated some sort of health code!? Someone picked up my bagel by accident. She walked away, then returned b/c she picked up the wrong bagel. They said that it was mine (I ordered an everything bagel w/ cream cheese and she ordered some other kind of bagel), and they just handed it to me!? I think that she's not allowed to just hand food that had been taken away by another customer to me, right?? I'm pretty sure that is some sort of violation...No one knows what customers do to the food when they take it away. I'm pretty sure the cashier should have tossed that and made a new one. I mean this is only within a School of Public Health, so we should adhere to some sort of hygiene and health code

Can you give NO stars? Ordered 2 separate sandwiches at two different times ( one to eat at the cafe and one to go). For BOtH times, took more than 20 minutes. I timed it. Ridiculous. Poor customer service. Snippy staff. I should "expect" to wait for hot sandwiches. Not worth th wait.

Standard coffee bar, located in the Bloomberg School of Public Health. The quality of the coffee varies a lot depending on the barista. The coffee is often on the cold side. Friendly staff kinda makes up for this coffee bar.

SUMMARY: Tasty, convenient, healthy options, and nice staff!FULL STORY: I have been coming here for 2+ years, and I think it fills a need! Granted, prices are a little higher with the captive and hungry audience... but overall, the coffee is decent, they always have a few pre-made salads/sandwiches/fruit options if you're in a rush... and I think they still show the nutrition info for the prepared foods section!I think they have even improved the snack options - before it was more salty cracker and trail mix type stuff, but last time I was there, they had packs of whole almonds and cashews without the candy. Awesome!I wish they had more weekend hours...Note: two entrances to this building -- 615 N. Wolfe and Monument Street. It's on the 2nd floor. Show ID to enter the building.

With the exception of two staffers, customer service here is godawful. Food and drinks are also pricey for the lackluster quality. As a student at the school, I'm a loyal customer at this place. If it were't for the lack of convenient options on this campus, I'd happily take my business elsewhere.

The daily grind is a great coffee shop located inside the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The staff are super friendly and fun; they really get to know us regulars and pay special attention to folks orders and needs. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious! Lunch options are solid - I eat here multiple times a week for a grab and go sand which.
