It had to be done. I had to know how Cruiser's compares to Chaps.Jeremy and I were over at Tradepoint Atlantic, checking out the wreckage of the bridge, and decided to get a little snack before we headed to the park.Friends had just visited Cruiser's the week before, and had warned us not to get the hamburger, so we ordered a pit beef sandwich to share. Jeremy got it topped with raw onions and barbecue sauce. He brought me a small container of horseradish. It was fine. A bit dry. Since it was sauced before the employee wrapped it, Jeremy didn't think to bring me a container of sauce, too. The horseradish is fantastic, though. Makes your brain feel like you've been electrocuted - which is exactly how I like it.We prefer Chaps, but not the location in Glen Burnie. You need to go to the original location to get the top-notch sandwich. Personally, I think getting the Cruiser's sandwich cooked medium was the issue. I've had better pit beef sandwiches at carnivals. So if you like your sandwich more on the pink side, don't order medium.Jeremy ate the majority of the sandwich, and enjoyed it. I'm sorry. I just can't work up any enthusiasm about it.

TLDR: Off the beaten path pit beef shop serving up some of the best in the area. Go for the pit beef and pit turkey. Vibe: 4/5. Epitome of a hole in the wall. Inside is a no frills dining area consisting of facing the wall bar seating and a few long banquet tables from the 80's. The smell of charcoal grilled beef fills the entire restaurant, which is a welcome addition in my book. You order at the counter and then pickup a few feet to the left of the cashier. They have a nice sized condiment area, complete with various sauces, horseradish and onions. On the right, you can actually see into their walk in meat cooler, which has a glass side running a quarter the length of the restaurant.Service: 5/5. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Our order was taken perfectly at the counter and our food was ready in 10-15 minutes. We took our food to go and the food was well packaged and organized nicely in the bag. Food: Delicious! We ordered a 2 meat combo sandwich (beef/turkey), a bird dog (sausage, turkey, cheese), Cruiser's burger (LTM, fried onions, bacon and provolone), cream of crab soup and cheese fries. Standouts were the combo sandwich, which was overflowing with meat and moist beyond belief and the cream of crab soup. The soup was of the thicker consistency with generous portions of crab meat throughout every bite. Fries were also exceptional, being freshly hand cut and of the thicker steak fry cut variety. The burger was the only "meh" of the day, as it was slightly overcooked for our liking (we prefer medium/med rare and this was medium well). With our entire order totaling to around $36, we felt Cruiser's has great value for the money and would definitely recommend!

Great spot for lunch after hiking at North Point State Park. The meats were good, we tried the pit beef and put ham. I love pit ham. The house made sauces were delicious, I forget the name of their main house sauce but it was really tasty! Only complaint is the Kaiser roll was a bit dry and fell apart while eating, I wish it was on a potato roll instead. Fries were delicious! They have a lot of options on the menu, good looking deserts and tons of chips and miscellaneous items to purchase at the counter. For instance we got a container of local honey for a really good price! The food did take a while, so don't be in a rush to get in and out here! There were a few people ahead of us, but it seemed like everyone was waiting a while for their orders.Lots of room to sit and eat.

We checked this spot out after a hike nearby and it was a great find ! We got their 2 meat sandwich, a hotdog, burger, cream of crab soup & fries! The sandwich and hot dog were so delicious! Very tender and flavorful!! The burger was done too well for our liking and ended up being super dry. In the midst of ordering so much food for 2 ppl we realized afterwards the cashier never asked how we wanted to burger cooked. Oh well! The fries were delicious too but what fries aren't ? I also took a quick step back to childhood as they had Linden cookies so snagged one of those as well!

Never had a bad experience with Cruiser's. Ever since we discovered it - we try to eat here as much as we can! The pit turkey and pit ham are my absolute favorite with a side of gravy fries. DROOL. Don't miss out on their homemade cheesecakes either. They're delicious.

Oh so good, actually beyond good! The rare roast beef was really rare on a fresh roll. Husband had the pit ham and was equally good. All meats were very tender.Service was fast and accurate.Condiments are free. They also do a slamming carry out business. We'll be back.

The best pit beef sandwich in the Baltimore area. Period. Must try! They have loads of other delicious food items to enjoy: pit ham and turkey, too. Burgers, French fries with gravy, onion rings, too many things to list.Interior is not fancy but who cares when the pit beef is this good?

Horrible!! This place is so classless! The employees are very rude and vulgar, I've went in there and seen them all just standing around and talking about "how much they hate customers". My fiancé has also been in there hearing them talk horribly about each other! The place always stinks and the place is always so dirty! The food is alright, not much to complain about other than the fact they ALWAYS forget the sauces! I'll never come back- maybe the employees and the owner can do a better job at keeping their mouths shut! Never come here if you care about where your money goes!!!
