Lee Carrion is a know-it-all who is the ultimate buzzkill. Food and atmosphere were both subpar at best.

I've enjoyed going to this location all my life. My grandmother use to take me here to get live crabs when it was Bonnie's crabs as a little boy, and it's even better now as Coveside. Bonnie has long retired. She use to put out some good crabs too, but Lee, and her husband Captain Richard do it up right! Their both very knowledgeable in crabs, and the craft of crabbing. They always give you the best crabs that your money can buy. Being a long time Maryland crab eater, and cabber myself, l know hands down there isn't a better place to get my crabs. Coveside is the only place l know that throws 80% of their catch away just to keep that 20% of super premium crabs. When I'm in the mood for crabs, there's only one place l go. You're wasting your time, and money going anywhere else....

Coveside is absolutely the best place to get crabs in Greater Baltimore. So legit, they let me pinch points my first time buying. After that, I'm all in and based on my experience, I can guarantee they won't sell a light crab. Sure, you have to steam 'em yourself, but why would you want it any other way?

This place is charging resturant prices for live crabs off the boat. What a rip off. They want 55 a dozen for #2 live crabs and 75 for # 1 crabs. Do your self a favor and shop around as you can find the same crabs for less than half the price.

The best, fullest, most delicious crabs in Baltimore? Coveside!Keep in mind, this is for live, uncooked crabs only. If you want them steamed, it's DIY at home. We picked up 6 soft crabs this weekend and they were not only perfect, but very affordable. Lee gave us the full rundown on how to clean them and cook them perfectly! Honestly, these were the best softies I've ever had- better than some high-end restaurants. We will be back for hard crabs later this summer for sure and will tell all of our friends that if they want to BEST crabs in Baltimore, this is the ONLY way to go! They take great pride in selling only the best crabs available and their sizing system (#1, #2, #3) is perfectly easy to understand unlike all the seafood places that have a hundred sizes separated by 1/8" difference (large, x-large, super, super-XL, jumbo) You want seafood from the very people who fish the Bay every day right? This is the place. Does not get any better than Coveside. PERIOD!

AMAZING crabs! Some of the best I've ever purchase in Baltimore! Got crabs last November came home steamed them had them while watching the Ravens game, a combo that is hard to beat!! But seriously, Lee and Captain Richard were both very nice, knowledgable, helpful. Some of the heaviest and totally sweet awesome Maryland Blue Crabs we've ever had. Looking forward to getting more in 2024 as well as trying some soft crabs from Coveside Crabs.

I bought crabs from Coveside Crabs for the first time on Labor Day, and they were amazing. My regular crab source sold his business, so I have been looking for a new go-to place and Coveside will be it. I ordered two dozen jumbos. The price was good, the service was friendly and great, and the crabs were gigantic and packed with meat.

We were first time customers and found out about a Coveside through the internet. Cap Richard's customer service was unmatched and the crabs were great and for a great price! We will return!
