My mom has always wanted to try this food truck ever since she saw them on Shark Tank. Their Facebook page posts the different locations their trucks are every day. I noticed they were going to be outside a local brewery in early July. We get to the truck on a Sunday around 5:30pm, with only one party in front of us. We ordered 2 Connecticut lobster rolls, 1 lobster quesadilla and 1 order of tots. The person taking our order thought we said 2 order of tots, so we ended up paying for and receiving another order of them. No worries, they would definitely be eaten. During the wait, a couple came up to pick up food they ordered on the app. I believe you can accrue points by making mobile orders or having the employees scan a QR code off your app, so that might be something to consider if you enjoyed food from this truck. We waited about 5-6 minutes for our food to come out.My parents enjoyed the lobster rolls (warm lobster, butter, lemon, New England roll). Yes, they are on the smaller side, but the rolls they both got were stuffed with meat. They enjoyed it. I had the quesadilla (lobster, grated cheese, pico de gallo, cilantro lime sauce, flour tortilla), which was cut into four pieces. I bit on shell in the first two bites and was wary to continue eating. I ate two of the smaller pieces (no shells, thankfully) and my mom ate the other two the next day (no shells in those). I did enjoy the pieces I did eat, except for the shells, of course. There was quite a bit of hunks of lobster throughout the quesadilla. The tots were the standard frozen to fried tots. No seasoning or salt (I doctored them up when I got home), but they were piping hot and crispy and crunchy. There were plenty of tots in a single order for the three of us.2 Connecticut lobster rolls, 2 tots, and 1 lobster quesadilla came to $80.56 with tax. My parents said they would definitely patronize the truck again. I wouldn't mind getting the quesadilla again, but I'd definitely chew carefully. They offer a Maine roll (chilled lobster), grilled cheese, lobster tail and tots, tacos, and lobster tots. They also have two soups: lobster bisque and New England clam chowder, and whoopee pies for dessert. Their truck also offers cape cod chips, sodas, and bottle water as extras/sides. If you want to build your own rolls, they have a kit for that. Their take home lobster roll kit is $120 for 1 lb and $230 for 2 lbs of lobster, along with their rolls, butter, mayo, lemons, and everything else you would need to make them yourself. Check out their Facebook page for the locations of their truck.

Summary: Cousins food truck offers an impressive selection of lobster-based dishes out of a food truck and more importantly, the food is very good! The first thing you notice from the food truck is that, it's one of the most impressive food truck setups that I've seen. They have multiple TVs set up on the side of the wall and it's bigger than your average food truck. The menu selection is pretty expansive too, they have your standard options when it comes to lobster rolls (both cold and hot styles), but also an array of lobster entrees like lobster mac & cheese, quesadilla, tots, and a few soups.I opted for the Connecticut style (hot) and was pleasantly surprised at the lobster portion size. It was in the mid $20 price range and so it felt like I got my moneys' worth. It tasted great. Well-balanced with a good amount of butter that it didn't feel like it was drenched in it.Their menu selection doesn't include too many other balanced options (e.g. veggies), but I also don't think that's the point of their menu. They focus on lobster and they do it well.If you have an itch for some dishes that include lobster outside of the context of a fancy restaurant, Cousins is an incredibly solid choice to do that. Would totally recommend if you see them out and about at an event.

Cousins Maine Lobster food truck came to my city and I had to indulge! I got the Connecticut Lobster Roll with clam chowder. They have perfected the art of a warmed buttered lobster roll. The lobster meat was plentiful and fresh. I found the clam chowder to be just okay. It wasn't terrible, but I've had better. It was to fill me up to avoid ordering a second lobster roll because as delicious as they were, one was not filling. I picked up a late lunch and there was no line or crowd at the food truck. The employees were kind and patient while I decided on my order. I liked the location of the food truck. There was ample parking nearby.

I'm giving 5 stars for the guys and their service. It's a well oiled machine! Great job and really the time in the long line went pretty fast. The incredible story behind the traveling lobster truck caught my interest. They came up with a great idea, presented to Shark Tank and viola there's your business. It looked to me they send out at least 4 trucks all at once on the weekends throughout northeast USA. $$$ Outstanding idea. We were in Breinigsville Pa. The 4 stars is for the 4 ounce lobster pieces in a hotdog roll which was extremely buttery to the point of masking any taste whatsoever. It looks better than tastes. The clam chowder was ehh. Sorry. Keep up the good work

We were so pumped that this food truck came to our town! But, we were pretty disappointed. We got: 1 Maine style lobster roll1 CT style lobster roll Tots to shareWhoopie pie to share 2 waters1 c lobster bisque1 c New England clam chowder2 water bottles$75 The maine lobster roll wasn't in typical Maine style - it had a squirt of mayo on the bun and came with a lemon wedge. Both lobster rolls were decent - 7.5/10 Whoopie pie tasted amazing - but BEWARE! The ingredients are terrible! We could not let our child try it. It has EDTA, RED 40, soybean oil, and a bunch of other chemical crap :( I was really hoping they made the Whoopie pies themselves, but obviously not. 9/10 taste, 1/10 for being poison. The New England clam chowder was ok. It gave canned soup vibes - and it wasn't better than my own personal crockpot clam chowder. 5/10My husband didn't even finish the lobster bisque. It was bad. It was like straight water and didn't have any flavor at all. 1/10For us this was not what we were hoping for. We saw they were on shark tank, USA Today, etc and thought, wow! They must be great. Nope. I'm sure Barbara from shark tank would be pisssssed if she had that lobster bisque. Anyway, just get the lobster rolls if you come here and leave the rest.

We had the Connecticut lobster roll, which was delicious and fairly priced ($23). Their truck was super high tech. The menu was clear and we didn't have to wait too long for our food.

Was randomly running errands and saw a truck that said LOBSTER. A quick check on thee Yelp and of course I had to try it. The menu is all lobster from quesadillas, to tots, to rolls to grilled cheese. The price point is what I would expect for lobster. The folk in the truck were nice and the food was ready in minutes. The grilled cheese was advertised as a sammie with various cheeses on Texas toast, I was pretty excited. Here in lies my gripe...I feel like I got a junior sammich, a toddler, a baby! That bad boy was small! It was yummy; however, I wish it weee a little bigger. The him agreed. Nice try cuz.

I visited the truck for the first time. It was at Kentlands (Gaithersburg). I ordered online but it wasn't ready when I arrived. It was only a couple extra minutes. Everyone was so friendly. The food was delicious. I got the Maine Lobster Roll- excellent. The mayo was not mixed in. It was just a very little amount on the toasted roll, which was just fine with me. I also got the lobster bisque. It was good, but I probably would try something else next time. Lastly, the tater tots- nice and crispy.I would go again if the truck is in the area.

The Lobster Roll & Lobster n Cheese sandwich was good. But it was not enough Lobster in either. For $25 each. I had expected more. At least an half a pound. A typical lobster roll should contain around ¼ pound of lobster meat per bun; this means for a single serving, you'd need about half a pound of lobster meat to generously fill a roll.
