A family owned shop is Arbutus! Super cute shop offering Hershey's ice cream, snowball, and lunch! Clean shop and friendly staff! I love eating outside at the picnic tables!

I happened to be in the area and called my son. He was at this location with his kids. I said I will be there. I want ice cream too. LolI arrived and it wasn't crowded at all. I was loving the ice cream flavor selection. The young lady took my order and I had my ice cream quickly. I sat in the booth with my grandchildren and son. The table had a checker board made within it. As the children had already eaten their ice cream, they played the games. It was very colorful inside. A very cheerful place.

Stopped in this evening for the first time. Atmosphere was very cute. Lots of ice cream options. The young guy working was very friendly and attentive while serving us. Hoping to be back again!

We dropped by the Cottage Cafe on an evening walk with our pup this week and were delighted by the experience. The space is cute and welcoming. The employees were friendly. Service was great and ice cream was delicious! Downtown Arbutus needs more businesses like this. Here's hoping the community can keep these folks in business for a long time!

Fantastic place for lunch (11-4) and/ or sweet treats. Lunch ...be it a sándwich made fresh and with all fresh ingredients, a stuffed huge tomato with one of the delicious salads like tuna or chicken, a hot dog or a specialty item like bbq .. couple it with a homemade soup or a side ( when available) like fresh potato salad, macaroni shrimp salad, coke slaw, etc...You can't go wrong.However... You can not leave without a dessert!! Hershey's ice cream is sold and many many special treats are made with any of the flavors. .. sundaes, milkshakes, banana splits are just a few sample desserts. If you want a snoball, pls be ready to choose from a wealth of flavors.The service is exceptional... and you can stay inside or go outside ... freshly painted walls and trim inside, checker boards and other games on each table so you can play while waiting, while eating or after eating. Outside you can sit in chairs, at picnic tables on a big swing or a bench... your choice.No matter what you you eat.... You won't be disappointed.

It was my first time here and I let the guy at the desk know I always drive by it and was excited to try it. The guy at the counter barely greeted me after I was standing there for a while browsing the menu. I asked to try samples and the guy acted as if it was an inconvenience to him. I tried two samples he said he couldn't give me anymore which I found strange. That alone was a turn off as there was literally no one in the shop so he was being intentionally rude. The ice cream was lackluster to say the least I've had better at cold stone and definitely didn't taste hand spun. Not worth it the only good part is it's pretty cheap but you get what you pay for.
