I've known about Costiera since they started doing pop-ups at Southpaw in 2023. I didn't know of their first restaurant gnochho which opened and closed in 2019. I was enamored with their fried Castelvetrano olives. No one else is doing that in the city and it's so incredibly addictive. HANDS DOWN THE BEST THING ON THEIR MENU. I remember enjoying their pastas during their pop-ups, which is why I went when they first opened in 2024, and I recently just went back to celebrate their first birthday in January. Their tickets were pretty cheap and they had chef Jessie from Sally O's along with Doug from Southpaw. The review here is going to be based off of the one year party because it's been so long since I had their regular menu items. Yes, it did serve a lot of the appetizers that they do feature on their regular menu. I've been on a wine kick so I ordered wine and was so pleased to see they carry really great selection from one of my favorite distributors, Genin Selections. I loved their pinot Nero - an Italian Pinot Noir The highlights for this menu was the octopus they got it so tender I am always disappointed with their arancini - I just feel like it's always so flavorless too oily. The service was so spectacular and the one year anniversary event was so cozy if they have one next year, I will definitely come back. They were so friendly and just really celebratory and with good cause. January is always such a slow month for restaurants so I was happy to support them. I will definitely come back to try their pastas again because I really don't remember them, and I will say their espresso martini was one of the best ones I've had in the city. I do you think espresso martinis are way overdone - so cheugy now, but this version was delightful.

A gem in Fells Point! Decided to come here because it's a newer spot in the area and the menu looked adventurous - it did not disappoint! We started with the house-made focaccia and all I can say is, wow! Absolutely delicious - to the point where I immediately trusted the chef and wanted to try everything on the menu! We kept it light, as we were going to a movie after, so decided on the arugula salad and mushroom soup. Both were AMAZING! The salad had such a perfect balance of flavors, with the combo of the arugula, mustard vinaigrette dressing, apples, and blue cheese. I don't even like blue cheese or fruit in my salads, but it was truly the perfect pairing. The mushroom soup was delectable - creamy and flavorful, with fresh goat cheese and pine nuts. I wanted to order another one after I finished it! Whoever made this unique menu is creative and very talented. We can't wait to go back and try more items, just based on the few things we got. To make things even better, there's a $5 parking garage right across the street, which for the area is super convenient. I highly, highly recommend this spot mainly for the menu, but also for the atmosphere and service!

Taking over a space on Central Ave that has been a bit of a revolving door over the past few years, Costiera brings culinary and ambiance chops that are worthy of a hopeful, more longstanding residency. Walking in, the split level layout with prominent bar on the ground floor offers a cozy, more intimate energy than the busy street outside. Parking tip: Little Italy garage is a flat $5 during happy hour/dinner hours. While our waiter left a little to be desired in terms of his ability to speak to the menu and wine list, he was nevertheless attentive, welcoming and hospitable.Let's talk food and drink though! The cocktail menu is fun and inventive. We opted for wine, and were pleasantly surprised to see an impressive selection at very reasonable prices. A unique orange/red blend paired perfectly with our meal.Steering towards a family style approach, we selected one of the crudos, veggie dishes and a pasta. The crudo got 5 stars from the meat eater at the table and was beautifully plated. That Roasted Honeynut Squash though! Perhaps the standout of the evening for me. Melt in your mouth level roasted squash is layered in near caramelized honey date vanilla butter, which collides exceptionally well with the peppery pop of arugula and pickled shallots. The Rigatoni also did not disappoint. The mint arugula mint pesto is light and bright and applied in just the right ratio so as not to drown the dish. The walnuts add a rich crunch to the dish, with the delicata squash contributing a touch of sweetness alongside creamy stracciatella.Across the board, a 5 star first impression Costiera! We'll definitely be back.

Love love love this new spot in Fells! Pretty easy free street parking all around, and the inside is super vibey! The food was incredibleee. We did restaurant week and got 3 courses for $45 each and split an $18 carafe of red wine. We tried the grilled octopus and arancini to start. Both of us had the rigatoni as our main, and then we shared the ricotta doughnuts and chocolate torta for dessert. Everything was delicious! Service was friendly but not overbearing. Definitely adding this to the favorites list!

The service at Costiera was impeccable. Our server let us sample the wine to decide between the two reds. Really enjoyed the anchovies with bread appetizer (first time ever ordering anchovies) and castelvetrano olives (interestingly they had some breading and lightly fried)this is my favorite olives you can buy small batches at Moms organic market or Whole Foods. Or used to be a very large jar at Costco. Anywho, the atmosphere was cozy and lovely.would definitely come again. Easy garage parking across the street

How is this place not more popular?! My friend and I came here for happy hour and we loved it. The decor is super cute and stylish with lots of greenery inside. The owner was super friendly and courteous. We were able to enjoy happy hour specials at the dining table by the bar area. We shared the Fried Chickpea Panelle and the Mushroom Escabeche & Ricotta bruschetta which were both so good. I got the Squid Ink Bucatini pasta while my friend enjoyed their Arugula Salad. My dish was great and the spicy bread crumbs were a nice touch to give it a light kick. Great spot for happy hour and dinner! I'll definitely be coming back.

What a great find in Baltimore! I was in town for a work trip and was looking for something outside of the touristy part of town to eat with some coworkers and this was a hit! They have a variety of tapas to select from and very affordable as well. We got the pumpkin pasta, swordfish meatballs, octopus, crudo, and chicken paella. The swedish meatballs with polenta was my favorite! The greatest texture for meatballs with fish as a protein! Second up was the octopus which was perfectly cooked. Overall, if I was ever in town again I would definitely visit this place again. Service was friendly too.

I've dined at Costiera for dinner twice now. I can confidently share that a meal here will easily be one of the most enjoyable you'll have in Baltimore. Costiera checks all the boxes: cocktails are original and tasty, appetizers are so scrumptious you'll regret offering to share and entrees are flavorful, nicely sized, and beautifully presented. I was incredibly pleased during a recent visit to see they've installed panels to help with sound and ambiance as that was my only complaint during my initial visit (it was so loud inside the space, my dinnermates and I had a hard time hearing each other). Repeat highlights for me have been both the chicken liver appetizer and the fresh baked focaccia! The octopus is another favorite dish of mine however it tasted much smokier this trip than last, I don't recall the dish being so smokey during my initial visit. Regardless, you'll be sure to enjoy a visit to Costiera.

New Mediterranean/Italian restaurant! I went early on in its opening time and really liked it! We didn't need a reservation at the time, but were easily able to make one online. Parking is not too bad in the few blocks around. The food was overall very good! as a vegetarian, i got a pasta which I greatly enjoyed-- it was a Pesto with butternut squash. They have a lot of fish/meat based dishes and this one was the only option at the time. Id like to go again but would like some more options as a vegetarian! The vibes are very cute inside and they tried to create a nice intimate vibe.
