I was debating between Connie's and Miss Shirley. In my opinion Connie's is a clear winner. It was like hitting the trifecta in Sunday brunch. Food quality, quantity and service.What an experience! Red velvet waffle was on a whole new level. My whole family enjoyed it.Thank you!

I was really excited to try Connie's Chicken and Waffles after reading all the rave the reviews, but tbh, to my dismay the food that I had here was very mid.I will start with the pros, the service was very good, the man working the counter even threw in some extra fried chicken, shrimp, and sauces as an apology for the long wait time ... but again everything was very mid. The chicken strips and fried shrimp were very chewy and hard to eat and the chicken had no type of extra seasoning on it (the sauce can't be what carries the taste of the fried chicken and a fried chicken joint) lol. In my humble opinion ... I will say that the chicken hit the spot at 2 AM after a night out (at my lowest expectations), but alas the shrimp did not, so it got left behind in the hotel trash can (sad face). I will never say never because of the great service and previous reviews they had, but I'm going to hold it on Connie's being the initial place I go to and just head over to Hip Hop Chicken when I get future cravings for fried chicken in Baltimore.

Adventuring through Baltimore and wanted to try a new spot; this place did not disappoint! Got the chicken and waffles sandwich. The waffles were so light and airy with a nice crunch from being Belgium style. The breading on the chicken was perfect, crunchy while making sure the chicken wasn't dry. This was a perfect meal to start my day!

We were wandering around the market and stopped here because who doesn't love Chicken and Waffels?? The two men there were super kind and helpful. Great service!We got the oreo waffle with 2 chicken tenders. To direct quote my mother "This is delicious. Oh my goodness." It was a struggle for her to stop eating even though she was full!The waffle was sweet, but not in an overpowering way. The chicken was hot and moist. Everything about the dish hit the spot. My only note is that I normally like my chicken breading crispy/crunchy and this wasn't, but that's a personal preference. And the lack of crunch certainly didn't take away from the delicious flavor. Located in the Broadway Market with a second Baltimore location and one in Wilmington, Connie's is all about two things: chicken and/or waffles.We arrived around noon on a Friday & didn't have plans to get food from here but the sweet waffle smell drew us in. Weren't busy but started to pick up. They have a kiosk available for self serve ordering.We ordered the Buttermilk Chicken and Waffles. Waffles were fluffy/airy and stole the show! Chicken was seasoned but just okay-didn't live up to the "award winning chicken box" billing. Noticed after they have various waffle flavors (Oreo, Crunch Berry...) so next time.Nothing stood out for Service- could've been engaging/upbeat but wasn't.Will be back to try other waffle flavors and see if it was just an off day for the chicken.

In my opinion, weekends were made for waffles. I didn't feel like making my own so we went to Connie's. I ordered the blueberry waffle with chicken tenders and a strawberry kiwi drink... so much sugar but well worth it! This was the best waffle I have had in a long time. The chicken was fried perfectly and the waffle was light and fluffy. I cannot wait to visit again.

Bookmarked it because the description includes chicken wings. Popped over one day and realized it's strips and not wings. Not a huge deal but a little disappointing. While I know it's a chicken and waffle spot, I can't just grab a waffle to go. I need a full dining experience, lolSo I opted for just the strips and fries. They were good not necessarily amazing but then again it might be about the chicken/waffle combo and I'm missing out. My rule of thumb with chicken is - if I have to use a sauce or seasoning on top, and it can't stand alone, it's just okay. At least I can say I tried it.

The first time I went here the services was amazing. Friendly people zone. They were fast and the food was good. Their chicken strips never disappoint. Never raw on the inside. Hot and juicy and that's just the chicken strips. The waffles are fluffy even when they are cold and then when they're reheated they are fluffy still. It is chairs and seats at their location (broadway market), but due to other venues that are there they all share all the tables. They have different kind of waffles and also you can get shrimps with them too. Drinks and other location has frozen drinks. Check them out.
