Stopped at the Charles Plaza location while on lunch for jury duty. Young man at register was nice... order took a few mins so it was made to order. I ate inside of the Plaza which is not the best but it was peaceful. My food was perfect.. waffle & chicken was piping hot just how I like it. I ate everything in that container! I believe I picked the Triple mix and that was tasty, not too sweet.

Located in the Charles Plaza food court, about a 10 minute walk from the Baltimore Convention Center. The food court is kinda dirty and rundown looking inside and I questioned my decision to eat there as I walked around.When I arrived at Connie's there was one employee who took and cooked the orders in front of you. Since it's fried food you walk out smelling deep-fried.As I was awaiting my food, a couple of Door Dashers came in to pick up orders at separate times and the employee told each of them the orders had already been picked up much earlier. I found that odd and wondered if a random person had picked up the food. One of the dashers offered to wait for the order they were trying to pick up to be remade but the employee refused to re-do it. It seemed like a very unfortunate and tense situation. I'd hate to be the dasher or the person who had ordered the food. I was disappointed w/ the chicken. It was overcooked and tough. I could only eat a few bites of it. The red velvet waffle was decent but was room temperature and not very warm.Surprised this place has 4 stars from other Yelpers based on my experience.

I was sadly let down by this place. It was in a little strip mall food court that was dead and deserted. The chicken was a little overdone. The syrup was cold and overall it was underwhelming.

I was in town for the weekend and came across Connie's near the hotel. At first I couldn't tell if it was open because the "food court" had a lot of closed down spots but sure enough, Connie's is there!It only got better from there because ordering was super easy on the tablet. There was a short wait while they made both the chicken & waffle to-order but that only means they'll be as fresh and hot as can be... and they were! Absolutely delicious. The syrup came in a cup on the side and it was the final piece to the puzzle. Don't judge it by its looks! The food is stellar!

This hidden gem can be found amongst the food court. It took us a second to find it but when we did we were so impressed. The woman who took care of us was so nice and even offered us a free drink. The chicken was phenomenal and the options of waffles were so fun and interesting. My only critique for this place is that it takes a bit to get your food (but there was only one person working so totally understandable) and there is an additional $1.00 charge to add three slices of strawberries to the waffle and we only got a few. However the quality of the food and the great taste caused us to quickly overlook that. Highly recommend the strawberry kiwi drink!

The food court area is a little depressing, although we went on a weekday morning so perhaps it's more lively on the weekends? That didn't serve the restaurant well though as it's just gray and uncomfortable. The food was okay, it felt like something you would get from a college cafeteria, I liked the waffle, probably wouldn't go again. The guy serving us was nice though, and it seems like they make everything to order.

I don't understand the point of having a number just not to pick up the phone. bad enough y'all told me use the kiosk jus to still get my order wrong then when I come back because y'all made my order wrong causImy me to waste my break I'm told how y'all handle refunds is to take a picture of the food and send it to the owner. so now I have wait 1-2 days for a refund bc yall messed my order up not cool.
