I've long lamented that there is no good, authentic Chinese food in Baltimore proper. Not anymore. This place is excellent.I picked up lunch to-go on a weekday afternoon. The place was clean and the service was quick and friendly. I had the Chongqing noodles and an order of two cabbage and pork buns, and everything was delicious. It also held up well over my 30-minute drive home because they package the noodles and broth separately. The portions were bigger than expected; in fact, just the two buns (for only $6!) would've probably been enough for a filling lunch. If you, like me, are tired of eating the same old Americanized "Chinese" food in Baltimore, you gotta try this place.

Stopped by today to pick up some food on the way to the train station. Got savory soft tofu, pork and cabbage buns, and the pork roujiamo (they call it rougamou) to go. Food came quickly. The pork buns were flavorful, not a ton of veg on the inside, but hearty. The dough was fluffy and definitely felt homemade (in a good way!) The roujiamo pork was tender, flavorful, but more wet than I am used to. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just something that isn't the most traditional. The flat bread was perfect though. Finally, I loved the savory soft tofu! Flavorful and delicious. Would recommend!

Do you ever think maybe you got the wrong thing on the menu? I have to wonder due to good reviews on Google and 1 here. It was a cold, rainy day. I have someone in hospital nearby and just wanted a warm bowl of soup. Yelp pointed me to this place. I almost didn't go in because it looks like a coffee shop, not a Chinese bistro. Nothing much else is around though. It was enter or go back to the hospital cafeteria (which isn't half bad, I just wanted a change of pace). Got the "duck broth" soup with noodles and won tons. You order at the counter and they bring it out. It should've been mildly spicy; couldn't taste spice one. More essentially, it tasted like dishwater. Without the soap. Not kidding. Strange tasting mystery meat in the won tons. Some weird "vegetable" that looked like spinach way overcooked and tasted awful. Determined, I added chili oil and soy sauce. Still pretty awful. A few more bites and I gave up. Went up to the counter and described my plight to the chef/ owner in more diplomatic terms. Guess what he did: Gave me another dish to try? Refunded my money? Nope. I trudged out, into the cold rain, dismayed, still hungry, and about $15 lighter.

the place wasnt what we expected when we walked in. was a bit disappointed. you ordered on the screen and once again had to tip them before you even get any service. the only service we got was literally the food brought out to us...we werent even greeted or anything. we literally was just told to order on the screen. the noodles could have been cooked a bit longer. the slow braised pork rib wasnt bad, but the rice definitely tasted different. kind of felt like the rice dish was reheated from a microwave....

Authentic Tianjin food, the chef carefully paid attention to the texture of the Jianbing, which makes it taste exactly like the one I had in Tianjin.

Great variety of tasty things in this bright Asian cafe. Close to Univ of MD Medical Center & Biopark, but also worth a trip for lunch or takeout if you don't work next door. Recommended: warm tofu soup, handmade Jianbing (kind of like a cross between an omlette and a wrap), chive pockets, lamb samosa pies, peking duck bun (must try! but sometimes they run out), wonton soup (not your usual, the broth has seaweed and shrimp) and dumplings (lots of different options). They also have entrees (haven't tried these yet) as well as a few items of typical American fare, including grab and go sandwiches, if that's more your speed, but the selection is limited, and can run out.

The ingredients are dirty and stale, and I get diarrhea right away. I ordered spicy hotpot, and they packed a tiny lunch box with only one shrimp, three small pieces of beef, two small pieces of chicken, and two thirds of Onions and peppers.

Chinese pancake was so bad and extremely overpriced. Soy milk is also overpriced and it is not cold.
