This is a pleasing review. I stopped in looking for a hat. I work close by and have been told they have a few to choose from. Unfortunately, due to the holidays they were low on stock and none were to my liking. But, I noticed they had a bar upstairs. Since I wasn't able to spend time hunting for a hat, I had time for a beer. Typically, I search for breweries, but in this case I opted for a beer. This one did not disappoint me. I am a Guinness fan, but 99% of the pubs stores their kegs next to the others beers. To me that is a no-no. I am not interested in drinking frozen beers which kill my taste buds. But then I heard the owner prefers the drink at a warmer level. Here, they actually store the keg in a different location. The pour allowed me to sip the black stuff within a minutes time after it settled. Wow I'm impressed. As for the place, it is a bit more pricey than the burbs, but not astronomical as some may think. Here is the QR Code if someone wants to check the cost. Thanks for reading.

Clockwork markets itself as a speakeasy, so I had high expectations. We stopped in to grab cocktails and takeout since we had our well-behaved kids (10 and 13) with us. The bartender was helpful, and we went with his recommendations: * Cheesesteak Eggrolls * Chili * Chicken Caesar Wrap * QG Chicken Sandwich * Chicken Cobb SaladStarting with the Cheesesteak Eggrolls, we had high hopes based on reviews, but they were a major letdown--greasy, under-seasoned, and honestly, inedible. The chili was hearty and enjoyable. The Chicken Caesar Wrap was mostly lettuce with very little chicken and lacked flavor. The dressing tasted store-bought, not homemade. The QG Chicken Sandwich was huge, salty, and probably the best thing we ordered. The Cobb Salad was missing avocado, egg, and blue cheese--so it really wasn't a Cobb at all.As for drinks, they were overpriced. We paid around $40 for a glass of mediocre red wine and a decent bourbon. The bartender raved about the red wine, but it turned out to be a $12 bottle from Total Wine, yet they charged $17 per glass. I understand markups, but this was excessive.Would I go back? No.Would I call this a true speakeasy? Also no.

I had lunch at CLOCK Restoration recently when I was downtown for jury duty and though, "I want a fun lunch rather than a quick lunch at a fast casual spot." The restaurant is on the 6th floor of 31 S. Calvert Street (when you walk into the lobby and the elevator, there are signs explaining how to get to the restaurant). For a place that advertises itself as a kind of speakeasy, it definitely has more a pub vibe to me (more casual than I was expecting). But the service was really good (the bartended made sure that I had a quick meal and was on my way to the courthouse on time to sit for several more hours before being released), and I really enjoyed my meal. The menu is mostly pub-like, too (burgers, sandwiches, wings, etc.), which isn't my normal preference, but I really enjoyed what I ordered: the QC Melt (basically a grilled cheese) with the added crab cake, which comes with their fries. The crab melt was a delicious and a good deal for how much crab was on my sandwich, and the fries were well-seasoned. Overall, the restaurant is a little less speakeasy-feeling than I was expecting, and more a traditional pub or bar (both in decor and food), but I had a good experience. I'm rarely in this part of downtown, but if it's not a bad place for a bite or a drink if you're in the area.

I had beet and cashew salad with white wine vinaigrette and added grilled salmon. It was delicious. The passionfruit liquor was heavenly. Even on a super busy night before the Hans Zimmer concert the bartender was attentive and helpful. We sat at the bar where I noticed the cool copper bar top that showcased what you can do with small pieces of beautiful wood. The little touches made me feel someone has put some thought into the comfort of their patrons: Power outlet with USB slots and hooks for coats and/or bags are available under the counter. Nice touch!

Such a great way to bring in the new year. I've been wanting to check this place out so I stopped by while my boyfriend was being serviced downstairs. It sits on top of a luxury male spa/barber shop. The bar reminds you of a speak easy. We were there early on a weekday so it wasn't packed at all but a time was still had. Great food and delicious wine and the bartender was very friendly. We will be back.

Excellent cocktails and food was very good. Charcuterie board is really well done. Burgers are excellent. Clean. A bit difficult to find because you have to take the elevator and it feels cool and hidden.

I was part of a party of six and we went on a Thursday evening. It was pretty empty inside. The decor was mostly clocks all over the walls in honor of it being a former clock repair shop. I had a smash burger and it was OK.

Quaint little "speakeasy" just a few blocks from the Inner Harbor, good for pub food. There are wall clocks everywhere and they are indeed correct twice each day. My mushroom cheddar burger was pretty good and the Parmesan fries were tasty. My husband's fried chicken sammy was tasty too. Waitress/bartender was friendly and efficient. Good service. Good food. Nothing epic. Just good pub food and a cute concept. Better than the area chains if you're looking for something local and reliable.

What a hidden gem... service was outstanding, drinks were very well made and food was delicious. Not a huge menu selection, but quality and ambiance made up for that 10 fold.

Snowstorm in Baltimore... walked from our hotel, old fashioned and fried pickles to start, followed by crab cakes and a smash burger and went for the bread pudding with vanilla ice cream...ALL of the food was delicious and Dan took great care of us! Highly recommend and it was a pleasure
