City View Bar & Grill

Everything was superior! Drinks. Food. Service. And the DJ!???! What??? I could say less. Highly recommend ! Damian is the best!!!

Had an encounter with the owner and hosting staff that was rather unpleasant and disheartening. My five coworkers and myself patronized The View's sister establishment City View Bar and Grille, earlier that evening. After paying the bill ($450 not including add. Tips ), we attempted to patronize the View. Bad Choice.Prior to paying our bill at the next door establishment, I went over to The View's main entrance. The hostess stated that there was no entrance door price, that the patio was smoking friendly, it's for 30 and over crowd. After paying the bill and leaving the restaurant side we headed over and sat in the patio section of The View's lounge area. Within 10 minutes of sitting down we were approached by an employee inquiring why we were there. After explaining that I had already spoke to the hostess he left and said we were good. 5 minutes later the "owner" ( a tall slender muscled built dark complexioned black man wearing glasses) approached my party quite hostile. He demanded to know why we were there and that we were not allowed. He did not pause to let us explain the miscommunication between what his staff was saying and himself. He stood over us ( mostly women sitting in patio chairs) and continued to yell and become more and more hostile. We even conceded and attempted to immediately rectify the matter by offering buy something. To which he responded "this is MY private patio lounge , I don't care about y'all money". Please note there is no postage signage stating the rules of how to properly patronize this establishment. Considering they have only been opened a couple months, it's shocking that his demeanor was that aggressive and as an "owner " your staff aren't even trained on the proper information to provide people who are trying to support your business.Ultimately, the food is pretty mediocre in the main restaurant, with new management that has also meant price increases as well. Between the poor parking , hostility of the new owners, and the hit or miss food, my friends and myself have decided to indefinitely part ways with what use to be our favorite after work wind down spot.

The food was disgusting and overpriced ..... Rosa and Damian our bartenders were 5 I would go back just to drink when Damian's there he did amazing. Went on a Saturday and it was the club no parking ,tow scares the whole time lol i was out of my comfort zone for sure..... if you wanna party go. Food gonna be phoney tho.

I visited City view on Friday night to celebrate my cousin renewing her vows.. I ordered the Cheesesteak Egg rolls & fries.. The Cheesesteak egg rolls were delicious.. Cooked to perfection .. The sauce they served with it was ok.. I love a spicy like mayo sauce with mine..French Fries were fresh cut potato fries but weren't cooked very well.. Some just wasn't cooked long enough..I also preferred a Pineapple Splash & that was good .. Their Strawberry Margarita was good as well..The waiter started out with good service in the beginning with taking the orders but it when it came down to the check somewhere along the line he was confused.. It was about 10 of us.. All in all I had a good time.

This place is a vibe on a Wednesday night! The DJ is on point and the appetizers and drinks are cheap and delicious. Who doesn't need that to break the monotony of the work week? It's not a glamorous setting but who needs that really? The wait staff were kind to us when we've visited City View. I enjoyed the nachos and crab egg rolls. I'd definitely return for their Wednesday HH!

City view is a hidden gem. The food is very tasty. I tried a Caesar salad for the first time, it was huge, packed with plenty of flavor and dressing. The steak egg rolls are my forever go to, with this house made dipping sauce..AMAZING! Catfish sandwich was delicious, the fish fries to perfection accompanied by my all time favorite, fresh cut fries!!!! Our server was attentive, took our orders promptly. I just wished they stayed open maybe 1 hour later. It's the perfect spot for a wide variety of food at a late hour!

** 6 year update **Consistency is key. This business has the gift to provide the people what they want. I've visited at least 15+ times since last review for lunch, hh, celebrations, and just because. They were pretty awesome during Covid when it was safe to provide carry out exclusively and then plentiful outdoor seating. Service is eehh. Food is always consistent, yum and quick. The beverages are well priced, mixed, and well presented. Heck yeah, I'm gonna keep supporting !!

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the music made the mood chill. The service was fair. Our server was friendly and kind. My wife loved the wings however when the meal was bought to the table, she was disappointed. Chicken cheese was awful. The bread was hard and there was barely any meat. If this is what you get then we will come for entertainment and drinks only.

We stopped in for a late lunch and was lucky enough to be there during Happy Hour. We had the nachos, whole fried wings and broiled crab balls and fries. All were reasonably priced for the happy hour menu and so were the drinks. Enjoyed this visit. The food came out piping hot!! It was chilly where we sat but otherwise comfortable. The server David was very friendly and attentive. We can be a handful sometimes and require great customer service. He did a good job.

We sat here for 1 hour and no service in a crowded place not even a glass of water. We saw new comers after us come in and get served. Finally I decided to go to the bar myself and order an appetizer . So ridiculous and then the mgr comes over 45 minutes later and offers an apology. She then says if it were her she would not have waited this long and would have been in their faces. REALLY!!!! Is that what a customer has do to eat in your restaurant? By the time we got our food it was 2 1/2 hours and the restaurant was empty as they were sweeping floors and collapsing tables. By then it had to be take out. I am a meeting and event planner for a large Pharma company. I WOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO RECOMMEND THEM TO CATER OR HOST AN EVENT FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!
