Cho's Sea Garden

Grabbing fish for a NYD/Christmas dinner. We are doing an Hungarian holiday dinner & needed fresh water fish for the stew. Cho's helped us choose between white bass & lake trout. We went with the lake trout as she said the bass would be too smelly.The cut the trout up just as we needed it so no head, tails, scales or guts. Just fish, spine & skin.All the fish looked fresh. Pretty good variety too. Definitely worth the visit.

Looking for fresh whole fish? Lexington Market is the place to go. Everywhere else I go, the fish are already filleted, but I love steaming the whole fish the way my mom makes it. Cho's Sea Garden is one of 3 fish stalls at The Market. They have a pretty good range of fish - grouper, catfish, tilapia, salmon, rock fish, shad roe, flounder, rock fish, lake trout, and more. Great service too - just tell them which fish you want and how you want it cleaned and they'll prep it accordingly. Prices are pretty reasonable too - definitely cheaper than mainstream grocery stores. The Market is my go-to place for fresh fish.

I've shopped at Cho's in Lexington Market since 1995. In my opinion they have the best fresh fish I have ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot of fish over the years)!! I moved to Ohio in 2019 haven't been able to find decent fish since I've been here. I hear that Lexington Market has been renovated and that Cho's has not opened yet. Can't wait until they return. I pray I will be able to order fish from Cho's when they open to have it shipped to me here in Ohio. Did I mention the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They definitely aim to please! Hurry back Cho's because you are definitely missed!CF

So, I went to Cho's back in late September. I purchased an excellent Red Snapper that was sold to me my Mr. Cho himself. He asked me If I would like to keep the head before it was cleaned for me. My wife and I made a wonderful meal with it. Great Service, and an excellent, fresh and high quality fish. What I don't know as I write this is - Is it open in the new Lexington Market yet? The Website simply says "coming soon". I'm looking forward to going back.

This is the only place I buy fresh seafood. The prices are reasonable, the items are fresh and the service is great. I can't wait for them to move in the New Lexington Market so I can get good fresh fish for Christmas
