yet another Baltimore taco mishap :(I wasn't super hungry so I only got two individual carne asada tacos ($4.50 each) which was very pricy for what they were. They came with cilantro and onions as well as a lime on the side and an orange sauce I was unsure it was made of. Carne asada tacos 1.5/5 - the cilantro was fine and the onions were sliced in an odd way that I've never had for tacos (think long thin slices vs cubed) but this wasn't an issue- meat itself was not seasoned (or at least not apparent)- meat was dry - flour tortilla was almost gummy? It felt too chewy like it should have been cooked more- the taco I think could be improved with more salt and tomatoes but overall wasn't enjoyable especially for its price tag :(

We ordered the beef tongue, shrimp, and chicken tacos . The staff was very nice and they all had a smile . The building is like a good court. We did sample some BBQ which was tasty but we were there for tacos. The black beans and Spanish rice could have been seasoned more but not a deal breaker. It's a cool and hip new way to eat a building turned into a food court.

The food was delicious, the staff was kind and the ambiance was pretty relaxed... reminded me a lot of R. House (if you're familiar) but just a little tighter with seating. Would highly recommend and I would go back!

The pescado taco had a nice spicy sauce with plenty of fish. The tongue in the lengua taco was cooked nicely, tender with a good flavor. The soft taco shells were just right, slightly crispy without out being flaky.

Wanted nachos one day while out and about so since I was near this place, Yelp led me here. Didn't realize where it was or that it was located inside a food hall. This made parking tricky but not impossible. Once inside it was pretty easy to find. The guy at the counter handed me a huge bag and I almost thought it was someone else's order. Got home and saw the nachos were just packaged really well. So well, I was impressed. In addition, they were good but waaaay too much for two not-so-hungry people. Upside you have multiple meals. Downside, the nachos are completely dressed so reheating is challenging. Also got an ear of corn. It was good but a bit too citrusy for my liking. I'd go back for the nachos, with friends, for sure and to try one of these delicious looking drinks in everyone else's reviews.

Picture it: me wandering around Mount Vernon Marketplace getting increasingly overwhelmed by all the options... until I come upon Cholita's Tacos. I guess you can never go wrong with tacos, especially if you're not sure what else to eat. I got the taco platter which came with three tacos of choice and two sides. I selected three different tacos - shrimp, rockfish, and chicken and got some rice and refried beans as my sides. I may have even broken my dry January (only one week in) for a candied ginger margarita too...The tacos were all pretty good but my favorite was the chicken by far. I wish I had only ordered chicken, to be honest. The candied ginger margarita was delicious! I would come back solely for that drink. The bill was $25 in the end which seemed pretty pricey for some average tasting tacos.Food aside, one of the few downsides of this visit was the fact that 2 of 3 staff members working weren't wearing masks. One of these individuals was the person working the cash register and the other was preparing food. I know we're living in crazy times right now where everything seems uncertain and like our small actions don't make a difference, but I feel much safer when people abide by local mandates and take extra precautions to keep themselves, their coworkers, and their customers safe. All in all, Cholita's was okay but with the number of solid tacos places in Baltimore, I'd rather go someplace where masks are the norm, not an outlier.

Another great visit, and still a good low cost "downtown" meal. This place gives more than enough for take-a-way!My choice was the chicken Tortas (pictured).I thoroughly enjoyed the bread, it held up well. The spicy flavor was enough to start a sweat. All of it was hot and delicious, although, I had to eat it over two meals. My wife got the burrito with chicken. She enjoyed the filling and commented on the fact that it's built with layers. The tortillas held up well so, although it was preparing to be messy we took a fork to it and the tortillas never fell apart. My rating is based on the dish, I say that because I am not a chef, so for me, this was a delicious 5 star meal considering the price and flavor.

Listen I really don't even want to tell people about this place. But the drinks are lit. Like, lit- lit. Sweet cold and heavy on the fire water. Smile. When I come to mount Vernon I literally get one every time. Best 9$ of my life.
