I really wanted to like this restaurant--a little run down and right across the street from Red Emma's, it serves all vegan tacos, quesadillas, and burritos. The proprietor/chef was very friendly, and excited to share his food with us. The lack of real seating means it isn't really a sit down place, but perfectly serviceable for takeout.Food wise, though, we were a little disappointed. The shrimp replacement in the camarones didn't have any fried texture--really, what it tasted like was a seared scallop taco, which is interesting but not what I was expecting. The birria tacos were cheesy and melty and served with a generous bowl of sauce for dipping. What really let both of these tacos down though was the sauces. The camarones sauce tasted almost like diluted ketchup, and the birria sauce didn't have much flavor at all. There was no spiciness at all, which I think is the big problem: everything was missing peppers. It is a huge missing ingredient for good Mexican food, and I can't really recommend the food here without some addition to the food: really, just three jalapeños or a classic chile verde would have made a huge difference to our eating experience. Between the two tacos we tried, I preferred the birria, and maybe just a last minute addition of hot sauce would complete it. The meat and cheese replacements really are quite solid! We also tried the churros. They were badly overcooked though--they had an unpleasant burned flavor on the edges, and there was almost no give to what should be the soft interior. I also found the chocolate sauce off putting, but that might have just been the poor accompaniment it was working with. I would stick to mains when ordering here.

Food is absolutely delicious! Plenty of hot sauces to choose from too. My favorite was taco al pastor.

Just moved to Maryland and am very excited to have found this little gem! We had the chicken and al pastor tacos, they were excellent! The chicken seemed so real I was worried lol. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. 10/10 for sure! If you're a fellow vegan, or just craving some bomb Mexican food, can't recommend it enough!

I read about this vegan taqueria a few days ago and decided to give it a try because it had such great reviews. My husband and I aren't vegan, but appreciate all kinds of food. We tried a taco flight with a chorizo, chicken and fish taco. All were delicious and especially enjoyed the fish taco. We also got a quesadilla without protein and a side of rice and beans. All tasted great. Meredith and the chef/owner were very friendly. Give this place a try.

Everyone lease support this amazing restaurant and local business. I was at a book event at the neighboring 'Red Emma's " and was absolutely taken by the look of this converted historic Little Tavern restaurant and so stopped in. Absolutely loved chatting with Kevin the man behind this beauty. What a guy. A Mayfair neighborhood hero! I chatted up customers and they all said the food was as absolutely amazing as the look of the place and the guy cooking all this good food for you. What a great new addition to the Baltimore restaurant scene, especially for all the Vegans! Viva Chihuahua Brothers!

The food is delicious! I've had the fish tacos, the steak burrito, the elote, and the yucca, and they were all great. It's really exciting to have a vegan Mexican restaurant in Baltimore.
