Went here for happy hour with some great friends. The ambiance is warm, and festive. There is a large bar with comfortable seats. The happy hour menu is small but powerful. The 5 dollar margarita made me wonder if they knew they were giving money away. I mean that one frozen margarita (strawberry) was delicious and strong. The bartender kept the addictive chips and salsa coming and I ordered the flautas which took me back in time. They were delicious and I offered none to my friends lol Will be back for sure

We went to celebrate my brother-in-law, nephew, and my daughter's birthdays here. The food was good. Although they did forget to put the sliced avocado on my chimichanga. Also I requested no onions and peppers in my dish because I recently found out that I'm allergic and I was not accommodated. One bite and I started itching. Luckily for me I carry allergy tablets in my purse specifically for this reason. This place is a Mexican party vibe especially with the Mariachi hats. I love how they sing "Happy Birthday" to the people celebrating. It's a good place to try out at least once.

We arrived after 8pm on a Friday night. Parking lot was packed! We were told it would be a 20 minute wait for a table for two. I don't think we waited more than 10 minutes. After being seated, we were greeted by the server quickly for our drink order. Chips and a BOWL of salsa quickly followed (thank you. My husband never leaves me any salsa). I ordered a combination plate with a beef enchilada, chile relleno with beef, and a chicken tamale. My favorite was the enchilada... meat was tender (not ground) in a rich sauce. Tamale was least favorite. I like my cornmeal to have some texture. This almost looked like play dough. I didn't have room to try the rice and beans, but look forward to the leftovers. Extremely loud and very popular for birthdays. We saw at least six tables with servers singing. Service was attentive and friendly. It was nice to be back in the building after more than 20 years and find a new Mexican restaurant that is doing so well. We will be back!

We stopped by for a quick bite on the way from airport. We had a taste for chili so that's what we ordered but it was more of a cheese dip with some meat and beans. However, the drinks were on point. I got the mango mojito & hubby got red sangria! Our waiter was friendly and service was pretty quick! It's a pretty popular spot because the bar area was packed and lively. We will have to return and try other items on the menu.

Whenever I'm in the area, I always make a point to stop by Chidos Mexican Restaurant and grab some food to go. The ceviche is my absolute favorite so far, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared! The customer service here is just as great as the food, everyone is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this spot for authentic Mexican cuisine!

Chido's stepped it up! I really enjoyed our last visit. I tried the enchiladas again and they were actually verryyyy good. Also, the basic cheese quesadilla? Slapped.Piña colada - very reasonablly priced and good.Butttt Chido's has the best service! Honestly, they are so sweet and so fast and so on too of it. They get you in and out but provide a great experience. The chips and salsa are great but the service is fantastic.Typical Tex-Mex vibe inside.

Were sat outside. May need to ask for a booth if you don't want to deal with the heat. We went with the flow because it was sunset with a view of the water. Good vibes.FAST service. My goodness. It feels like right after we ordered our piña coladas and chile con queso, it was brought out 75 seconds after. The drinks were so good- you're going to want more than one. Not too sweet, and the flavors work well together. The chile con queso stole the show. It's $10, so might not be a good ROI for 1 person, but it was far more enjoyable than the salsa in my opinionThe steak quesadillas were crispier than a normal one, the meat was cooked to perfection, and the cheese wasn't overwhelming. Ask for the hot sauce and they'll bring out a green blend in a little cupWe got an appetizer, a drink each and two entrees.. down the middle it was $25 each. Good value

*Updated Review*This place was my go-to over the last few years. Their outdoor seating options provided some relief during the pandemic. I've always enjoyed Margarita Wednesdays here. Hadn't been in quite some time, and recently, some friends wanted to meet up for Restaurant Week (the first ever in Laurel). The place was jam-packed on a Friday evening, but they were able to seat us!I wasn't starving and just wanted something small, so I just ordered off the regular menu. I got a chicken quesadilla with the green sauce on the side (love this sauce). I've gotten this many times, but this time, there was a bone that I almost choked on. Yuck! I was done! The margarita I got was very watered down and not what I remembered. They're opening a new location in downtown Slver Spring (not sure the exact date), but I'm willing to give it a try!
