Charro Negro Bar & Grill

I already have a favorite place for tacos in Baltimore City. I even have a preferred go-to for margaritas and elevated Mexican cuisine. A tray of nachos and a burrito from Charro Negro have convinced me I've found my spot for everything else. The nachos (I ordered mine with chorizo) were the best nachos I've had in a loooooooong time. The tortilla chips tasted fresh. Toppings included smooth black beans, two types of cheese, jalapenos, and pickled carrots. The pico de gallo and guacamole were packed separately, I suppose to keep things fresh, which I appreciate. I've spotted the food truck for Charro Negro around Patterson Park but never had an opportunity to stop and try something. I'm SO GLAD I finally made it to the brick and mortar. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend paying them a visit.

Just ordered dinner from UberEats. It's rare for me to write a review moments after an experience but when it does happen, it's either horrible or amazing. Today I'm grateful it was the latter. I wanted authentic tacos, nothing fancy necessary. Once I saw they also had elote, I knew this was a total win. Ordered 3 carnitas (pork) tacos and an ear of corn. I was a little sad to see no grill marks on the elote but it didn't matter once I bit into it. It was super fresh, crisp and juicy. It would have been a good ear of corn without the adornments but the mayo, cheese and spice made it amazing. The tacos came with typical ingredients (onions and cilantro with limes and cucumbers on the side). All taco ingredients, including the tortilla and meat were fresh. Listen y'all (or read), these were some of the most flavorful and delicious tacos I've ever had. Moist, well seasoned and plentiful. I'll be ordering here soon again!

I ordered some menudo on Uber eats from here, and the food was great! Whoever made that dish is definitely doing a great job seasoning and mantaing the consistency of the meat. It took me back to Mexico and reminded me of my childhood. It was delicious! My only constructive criticism is to probably find another tortilla brand as it doesn't taste as authentic as it should (but that's just me wanting it all). If you are in the mood for some authentic Menudo, give this place a try!Muchas gracias familia hispana, les deseo lo mejor!

Went here on a whim today after a girlfriend recommended it. Got the shrimp tacos and Al pastor, as well as corn and dive and beans. It was delicious! Al pastor and corn were the stars of the show for me. Keep in mind it's a hole in the wall so definitely grab and go. The woman who provided our food was kind -but disappointed we didn't have adequate silverware so knocking off 0.5 stars. 4.5 stars.

I couldn't let National Hispanic Heritage Month end without reviewing one of my new favorite new local spots! I've been in my new home 6 months now and have ordered from Charro Negro thrice! AND, the food truck came to my subdivision so I guess....... that makes 4! Needless to say, I like it!My go to has been the chicken quesadilla. However, I did opt for the barbacoa tacos last night. It's all good! The quesadilla comes with the sauce/chili of your choosing, the freshest sour cream, and some lettuce. It's on the big tortilla, not the small one. Yay! It is also very filling so I'll eat half one night and the rest the next day. Let's talk about their beans and rice. They are delicious! The beans are black beans and taste BEST when mixed with the perfectly cooked Spanish rice.The tacos come on corn tortilla, but they're soft, not fried. I like the tacos as they're very flavorful. However, I prefer a lightly fried tortilla so the taco doesn't fall apart when trying to eat it. The barbacoa is seasoned with cilantro and it's perfect. They also throw in a few cucumbers which, surprisingly, go perfect with the tacos. They'll also add the 'dipping sauce' if you ask. My girlfriend always get the beef tacos and she scarfs them down. I take that as a sign that she thinks they're good.We also always order the chips with some pico de gallo and salsa. There is one that's very spicy....... we stay away from that one. The chips are thick but crispy (yes, it's possible). They're good sometimes and great others. I'll take it. It's my go to and I'll probably order plenty more times in the future.

I ordered using Uber eats. The order was delivered pretty quickly which is nice. The tortillas were sturdy and did not easily break apart even after reheating the next day. The taco meat was a bit on the fatty side, I would prefer more leaner meat but overall the tacos were good.

I was just eating my food and felt something sharp in my mouth and pulled out A RUSTY NAIL.In my food, in my fu cking mouth!!! I am so disturbed and disgusted on so many levels.Rusty staples in their burritos.

Been going there for years until recently a few unfortunate events happened, few times I ordered my usual and they messed up my orders and wouldn't change it to what I asked, I paid a few times with my bank card and 4 times I was charged double the amount on the check, I personally spoke with the owner and he told me that it was a charge from different days ) mind you it was the exact amount I paid the night before, the first time they returned my money the other three time he told me someone was stealing from me and to call my bank, when I'm the one that paid at the restaurant. And they didn't address the issue, happened to two other friends as well yet he told his workers that If I came by not to take my card anymore that I could only pay cash. Instead of fixing the issue he ignored it.

Ordered birria tacos on uber eats and food was delivered very well no spills and great size tacos. Came with three tacos and a bead of lettuce

I have never went into the bar, but I can say from eating there via delivery numerous times that the food is consistently great. Fair prices and big portions, and the flavor is always there. I have tried burritos,quesadillas, taquitos,enchiladas etc.. and have never been left disappointed or wanting more. Even their desserts, the cakes, are both very well made and rich in flavor and have that lovely unique spongy texture. If you're looking for a good filling Mexican meal, this is certainly a solid option.
