Chaps Pit Beef

I've never had anything bad from here!! fresh, good servings, and a staple any time we are in Baltimore!!My facorites are the Tricom, Rachel, 52 Chap, and Guy's Triple D!!

I have been here many times before when I lived in Baltimore. I now live in Texas and have to visit at least once while in town. Don't let the fact it shares a parking lot with a strip club stop you from visiting. The food is terrific, definitely worth trying it. The staff are always friendly, the place is always clean and of course the food is great. They have several different BBQ sauces to try. The "Golden Sauce" was my favorite. Also, a cool fact is there was a scene from "The Wire" filmed here.

The service was friendly and prompt.I really liked the tables. Mixture of benches and high tables. My husband really enjoyed his pit beef sandwich and I really enjoyed my wings and fries. The fries and BBQ sauce was good too.

Definitely one of the best if not the best pit beef place in MD. Food is fantastic and the service is super fast. The place is super clean with lots of seating, so good for a quick bite.

My absolute favorite place for ribs in Baltimore! Not only is the food cooked well, but their different bbq sauces and horseradish add even more flavor.

All the famous foodies visited here so I had to try. It is located in industrial area so I left little out of place. We tried the regular beef sandwich, pork rib and banana pudding. The beef sandwich does not come with any sauce but you can add different bbq sauce and dressing at the self serve area. I personally liked their hickory sauce. Their Beef sandwich is pretty much like a roast beef. The pork rib was also good and the banana pudding. I just wish i had a bigger stomach to try more stuff. Excellent service. You can see the open kitchen right behind the counter where the action is.

It's been over two years since my last visit to chaps and I've also discovered they moved across the parking lot to a bigger location. Newer and cleaner facility but not the nostalgic shack I remembered but do understand an upgrade was required.Not much to say except best pit beef sandwich in all of Baltimore. Dress up sandwich whichever way you like however my recommendation is to load it with pickles, onions, and their famous tiger sauce.This is a must eat Without a doubt.

At this point an iconic baltimore food spot. Finally came back and tired their new renovated spot. The old spot is next door but this new building is nice, good AC, plenty of seating, and bathrooms. Staff are always friendly and fast.The food is as you'd expect delicious. Got my go to raven and ordered wings. The wings are huge as they give you an entire wing not just pieces. The raven with beef, corned beef, and turkey were perfect. The roll also nice and soft pairs well with the meat. Good to see this place still going strong!

After several years of hearing about Chaps Pit Beef's legendary sandwich, I decided to finally stop by and check it out. I figured for a first visit, I should start with what they're known for...the pit beef. I placed my order online and by the time I arrived it was bagged and ready to go! I was told I should get it with onions, pickles and horseradish so that's what I did. From the first bite, I understood the hype. This is a really good sandwich! I'm definitely gonna go back and try some other things on the menu.

Welp, saw this place on tv multiple times, so I thought I better check it out while I was in Charm City. Their beef is excellent and tender. I like that you can request it to be rare up to well done. The sausage was not fatty at all. I wouldn't get a large sauerkraut next time because they don't make it in-house, so it's nothing special. But their sauces are! The Tiger Sauce and Gold BBQ are both unreal good. I feel like the Gold was fairly spicy. The service was quick and high quality. The entire restaurant was clean. Highly recommend it to visitors and locals.
