Was driving thru town and decided to stop here because I seen good reviews, I was happily surprised. It wasn't busy but you can tell it is a popular place. They have a few tvs and indoor/outdoor seating. The pit beef was so good! One of the best sandwiches I have had hands down. I loved it. The fries were okay, but I am not a fan of fresh cut fries. Also I had the baked beans and they were awesome. I wish I ordered more of that than the fries. I can't wait to go back to try some more stuff! Worth a stop!

If you like the taste of beef, this spot's for you. I arrived around lunchtime with 3 coworkers and immediately joined a fast-moving line. Their huge menu with lots of sides on several walls lets you decide while you wait. With plenty of seating, my group easily found a table. I got the Maryland specialty of a Pit Beef Sandwich with my choice of medium rare shaved beef. It had really simple seasoning where the beef flavor shined through and it was a very manageable-sized sandwich. It can come with onions but I didn't get them this time and they're a good idea. I also picked up a Cornbread that was good but I wished it was warm. In any case, Chaps Pit Beef is good pit stop.NOTES/TIPS:**Plenty of parking in their own shared lot.**Wheelchair-accessible.

Tried the turkey Reuben and the beef Rachel. The meat was sliced so thin. So delicious. Knocking down a point because I wish the rye bread was more crunchy and toasty. Thousand island was thickkkk and tastyyyyy alsoBanana pudding looked good. Regrets.

I was very specific with my order I guess they did the best they could? I'm willing to try one more time before I give a yes or no verdict. At the current moment I'm giving them a maybe. I asked for sausage to be over cooked almost hurt and for my bread to be toasted. It was not the way I asked I had to take it home and do it myself

Omg this pit beef is freaking amazing!!! I had the beef platter with fries and gravy all over. Beef was ordered medium rare with a side of horseradish. The beef was SOOOO tender!!! I couldn't stop eating it and the portion was very very generous. The service was pretty quick counter service and there was plenty of seating. You can also literally smell the delicious smokey flavor in the air as soon as you get out of your car. I highly recommend trying Chaps and I'll definitely be back again!

I love Chap's and usually go to the original on Pulaski. I was driving through Baltimore and the original wasn't open yet but by the time I hit Aberdeen this location was. I went inside just after the doors opened. It's really big, plenty of seating. The staff was just as friendly as on Pulaski (except Bob isn't there handing out food) and the food was also just as good. If they had a bar this place would be the best. But even without alcohol available they're still one of my favorite spots. I'm happy to see that they were able to expand and still keep the food, service and staff the same. Definitely a stop if you're within a few hours.

This place is in a strip mall. I was expecting more of a BBQ beef place but it's basically a beef sandwich place. They also have fish and I thought I saw chicken options. The beef was pretty bland actually. I added onions and jalapeños and that helped but you want to think about add one to give the sandwich life. The green beans were ok. They add tomatoes and it gives it a slight marinara flavor. It was ok. The drink fountains are free refill so have at it. The place is clean and the staff was friendly. The teenagers were singing loudly in the kitchen and it brought a smile to my face. Clearly their manager is creating a positive environment and this isn't just a workplace for them. It's a great experience by the sound of it. I will definitely come back and try more of their food. I like these people! Give them a try and see how you like it. Let me know if I was totally off base!

We frequent the Chaps on Pulaski Highway pretty regularly and decided to order carry-out from the Aberdeen location while in the area recently. First, I love that this location isn't too far from the 95 exit and the kid-friendly and clean dine-in option is definitely a plus. There are so many different options to order here but during this visit, we opted for the Beef sandwich, Turkey and Beef sandwich, fries, and hot dog and chicken tender meals for the littles. The employees were welcoming upon ordering and the meals were prepared accurately and quickly. Ready for my favorite part of the experience? The abundance of sauces! Mixing favorites like the Chaps Bbq and the Carolina Gold elevate an already delicious sandwich made on a soft Kaiser roll. Can't wait for our next visit.

Oh hey, last Saturday evening, I was introduced to the wonderful world of Chap's Pit Beef. What is pit beef, you may ask? It is like roast beef you might get at a deli, but grilled over a charcoal flame and served on a sandwich. I got mine with onions. Raw onions. And a bunch of barbecue sauce. It was good. Pit beef is good. Chap's is good. Their mac & cheese is good. I am so glad I was introduced to this wonderful and amazing world by my friends. I will come back if I am ever in Flobberdeen, oops, I mean Aberdeeen, not Flobberdeen, who was the villain from Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. "What would you do if old Flobberdeen asked for a Gobstopper stolen by you?" as the song in the musical goes. Take him to Chap's Pit Beef and win him over to the good side with the power of meat.

I recently moved to the area and that meant finding a new beef spot. Since finding out about it I have been several times and each time has been about the same. I've only gone in on randomly weekdays during the midafternoon so I can't say much about how busy it is but the service has always been great and it's quick. I get the pit sandwich (rare) on a bun which is always like 2lbs of beef so they definitely give you your moneys worth. The meat is nice and moist and the bun is perfectly soft. I did try the Ruben once which was good but I'll definitely stick to the beef.
