ok ok! 5 star hooka finally on georgia ave nw. i do not say it often but the ladies and men who work here are consistently the definition of style and service and grace. you have to experience the georgia ave location for yourself and get the hooka, get a drink, get a meal weekend or weekday up to you! it's really a plush bright place and you will have fun if you are into reggae, trending music and afro beats! enjoy

This spot is great for some chill vibes and hookah! My friends come here all the time and they said it's more lit but I came it was really chill but the hookah was really great. I believe the hookah was $20. I decided to get wings because I was super hungry and didn't want to try new foods but I tasted the Derek tips sambusa (?) but everything was soooo good! I would deff come back to try again. I had a $7 happy hour drink, vodka with Red Bull and it was really strong. I didn't even need another one on top of the hookah. 4/5 stars because the service was really slow for the food and hookah but everyone was nice! The inside was beautiful and I would love to come again. Only thing is I know normally they have a DJ but the day I came they only played Ty Dolla $ign! Lol I would love to hear a variety.

mind boggling this spot has such bad reviews. I can only speak for the nightlife (Hooka, drinks, small bites) and loved it! Was a champion regular briefly last year and always had a great time- 5 starts because they are well above the par for DMV Hooka joint. Hooka was always smooth and the flavor I ordered was the flavor I got. Drinks were strong and affordable. Space is single floor but spacious with tv screens all around. I only went during the weekday and the DJ always played Ethiopian and Hip-hop. Good mix of vibes and quality.Parking is free! both street and adjacent lot.

I would've given a five star but the service wasn't the greatest. The food was great; tasted amazing. The vibe is chilled, laid back. Great place to just unwind, smoke hookah with friends and catch up.

I had a relatively good experience at Champion. It was my first time trying Ethiopian food, so I can't say if it was top quality or not. However, I can tell you that really enjoyed the food that my friend and I ordered. We got veggies platter with beef siga tibs in the center. I loved the flavors and aroma of the dish. The place itself was okay, but I think they could do a better job arranging the furniture. It was really hard to walk in there. Our waitress was nice, but our service was slow. I can't speak on the price because my friend treated me. However, my friend informed me that the price was fair for the food. The music they played was pretty good too. If you are sensitive to hookah this is definitely not the place for you. I don't think I would drive down from Baltimore to go here again, but if I was in the area I wouldn't mind going again.

The bar is not bad but don't know if it is consider as kitchen or a bar. Not convenient for dining. Hookah $30 dollar which is unfair and not even fancy or clean. $10 for a scotch.

I Champion is my favorite place they have Fantastic DJ but the service is terribleI am Regular in this place very regular every time I sit by the bar I have no problem everything is OKHowever whenever I sat in the floor service is very bad they tried to charge you over like three times more than you consumed very arrogant waitresses as I said I'm a regular and I was there last night We had two drinks one black and one Jemison and one hookah the charged Was when I see the bill I was charged five drinks and two hooka come on you don't see 2 hooka on the Teble how can you charge some thin you did not serve? this happens all the time When we set in the floor The waitress was the flat Hair so annoying and never been trained as customer service skills she just do not understand customers she argues a lot, eventually she understood she mak a mistakes, mistake happens but how she handled was very poor , even if you tell The manager she did not care she think that ( ) so she did not do any thing about it, she just going around and picking up glasses, not any better than a busboy it is a very nice place very nice DJ A very nice decor I'm sure the owners put the Soul and heart in this but the service on floor is terrible maybe they should bring the people in the bar put them in the floor and the manager need to understand Customer pays her bill it was bad , I hope the owners will take this advice and make a change because this place could be the best place in town

The food was really good but the service is very questionable. The waitresses had a bad attitude and acted like I was bothering them when I would ask for a drink or tried to place a food order. The bartender was horrible and had such a horrible attitude when I told her she poured me the wrong drink. I almost felt a bit discriminated. I'm Latina and I noticed that the staff were friendlier to the Ethiopian crowd but where not very nice to me and my African American friends.

I wish I can give this place a half to no rating. We ordered a drink and they served as with a used compostable plastic cups. The cups were used before and washed, I say that because they were dirty and had a dead insect glued to the bottom of our drink. We requested for a new drink and they come back twice with the same dirty cups and drinks.

Worst customer service and waitress staff I have ever had in my experience in dining out....like seriously!Waitress literally came back to ask us every single thing that we previously asked not just once but multiple time -- literally with everything -- our drinks, food, and add-ons! We would ask them to come back to our table after they finished with the table they were currently walking to and they would say ok then it would take them FOREVER to get back to the table -- sometimes we would have to call them over again. The only reason I am giving them any star AT ALL is because after we did order the food TWICE and it got to the table it was pretty good (chicken wings) and the drinks that night were pretty strong once they actually since the right drink to our table. My friend ordered a tequila soda which is the most basic drink you can literally make! They forgot about his drink order in our original order and only brought the hookah to the table then once he reordered with another waitress she brought a margarita to the table.Upon requesting the check, they had overcharged us an extra alcoholic drink which when asked to be removed the waitress suggested that my cup was a alcoholic drink when she was the one who served me the cup of WATER with my meal and also included gratuity on our check when the service definitely was not up to par.I'LL PASS
