Grilled octopus. Good, but I wish the octopus had more char to it.

Cava Mezze - A Perfect Spot for Great Food & Great Vibes!Let me take you to my first experience at Cava Mezze: I had a meeting there on a warm afternoon, and we decided to sit outside. The place already had this cozy, inviting feel with people chatting over small plates and wine. I wasn't sure what to expect, but by the end of the meal, I knew one thing for sure -- I'd be back, and next time, it'd be with a date.We started with the lamb and chicken sliders -- tender, flavorful, and bursting with Mediterranean spices. These aren't your average sliders; they're packed with flavor in every bite, light yet so filling. And let's not forget the hush puppies -- crispy on the outside, soft and savory on the inside, and paired with sauces that take them to the next level. We tried a few more dishes, each one just as satisfying as the last. The food had a way of being light yet hearty, making it easy to enjoy a variety without feeling overwhelmed. Our server Mika made sure everything was perfect, treating us like we were longtime regulars. Her energy and attention to detail added to the experience -- she knew just when to check on us and when to let us relax and enjoy. One thing that stood out to me was the ambiance. While the outdoor seating was great, I couldn't help but notice how intimate the inside looked -- low lighting, a warm atmosphere, and a sense of coziness that makes you want to settle in and stay for hours. It's the kind of place you want to bring someone special, share a variety of dishes, and lose track of time over great conversation. So if you're looking for a spot with fantastic food, welcoming service, and an intimate vibe perfect for any occasion -- whether it's a meeting or a date night -- Cava Mezze is it. Trust me, one visit, and you'll be planning your next.

I hadn't been to Cava Mezze in a few years and was excited to return, but honestly, I left a bit disappointed. I really miss the small tapas-style dishes they used to serve. They've made the plates larger now, but a lot of that size comes from fillers--like potatoes--rather than quality ingredients, which makes the pricing feel less justified. One of my biggest disappointments was the crispy pork belly dish. It used to be thick, juicy, and flavorful, but now it's thin, dry, and layered with potatoes, which took away from the experience. For the price, I expected better execution. On the other hand, the lamb rack was excellent--the pieces were large and flavorful, served on top of fries. I had the bigger piece, which was cooked medium and perfect for me, while the smaller piece was more well done. That worked out since my husband prefers well-done meat, but we originally ordered both as medium, so the inconsistency was noticeable. The tzatziki sauce is a must-order--creamy, tangy, and pairs well with everything, from the lamb to the calamari to the octopus. Speaking of the calamari, the portion was huge, and while the flavor was good, the portion size felt more like quantity over quality. For the price, I would have preferred a more balanced dish rather than just a large amount of food.Service was great--our server checked in on us frequently, and the vibe of the restaurant was lively. We came early on a Thursday evening, and it filled up quickly, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. Also, the entrance is by the parking lot, and there's plenty of parking available, which is convenient.Overall, I still like the ambiance and service, but I miss the old menu and wish they'd focus more on quality rather than making dishes seem bigger with fillers. For the price point, I expected more refined execution rather than oversized portions with too many potatoes.

I've tried them before for brunch and this is my first time coming for dinner. Overall, the food and experience were good. We got the crazy feta and then chose the Mezze Tasting so we could try the other 2. My favorite of the dips was the crazy feta. We ordered the Greek Bolognese and Scallop Risotto to share and these were both very good. As the main, we got the Chef D Platter. Unfortunately I had too much pita which filled me up so couldn't enjoy the different meats included. I tried the pork belly, gyro and chicken souvlaki. Out of the three, the chicken was too salty (I think there was too much seasoning) for me. The other meats were pretty tasty. It wasn't too busy on a weeknight. However, we needed to call over our waiter a few times to get serviced. In addition, I felt like the lights were a bit dim making it a bit hard to read the menu.

Always a treat, one of the most consistent dining experiences in MoCo, you will never be disappointed. The service here is always on point, the food? Delicious and it's a great atmosphere for a date night or a nice dinner amongst friends. The saganaki, the gyro, the shrimp, the Brussels sprouts, and the French toast are all on my go-to order list every time I come here.Honestly, though, everything they serve is good.

Great small plates restaurant. Hidden gem if you didn't know about it. Upscale and more options than fast casual version.

Frequent diner. Place is always good, consistent service and food is great. Octopus and Lamb Chips stand out for me and Village Salad is always so fresh. French Toast desert is always a hit too. Highly recommend. Only downside is place is small and tables are on top of each other and it gets loud.

Thursday 4/18/2024I made a takeout order through the store website and got: chicken platter (with rice) $17, gyro pita (with salad) $15, lamb chops (medium) $22, and dessert French toast $10.- Chicken platter* this was one of my favorite dishes. Everything was good and I had no problem with it.- Gyro pita* this was okay but it's pretty underwhelming when you factor the $15 price tag and the smaller portion that was served. - Lamb chops* $11 per lamb chop is pretty expensive especially when you see how small they are but they were decent. * the French fries were awful: greasy and soggy with zero crisp and seasoning.- Dessert French toast * another one of my favorites dishes that I enjoyed.* it's not overly sweet as it comes with whipped cream, blueberries, strawberries, and honey. This is a solid spot for Greek food. I'd recommend the chicken platter & French toast and I would be open to returning to try new items like spicy lamb sliders, chicken sliders, and lollipop chicken.

My husband and I ordered takeout for Cava Mezze and it was pretty straightforward. Very standard Mediterranean food, nothing too over the top or subpar. Everything was pretty good, I got a classic gyro and was not disappointed! My husband got the chicken skewers which were also well seasoned and yummy. My only qualm is the price point. The small container of feta dip alone was $11, and it just didn't seem like enough for that price despite it being tasty! Overall good food, but you can go to CAVA or any other standard Mediterranean place and pay half the price for a pretty similar experience!

This is one of my favorite spots to eat for lunch/brunch. The food is delicious, the service is great, and it's the right amount of ambiance I need on Sunday. My server name is Arabic and is spelled Khayr. He is an amazing waiter. I just love the atmosphere. the service is great, which I said before, and food is amazing.I love the idea of being able to select a three course mean, which is reasonably priced, and to top it off your libation, that's a choice of Mamossia for .25 cents per glass is another great perk. In addition, they offer half on the purchase of a whole bottle of wine.Overall, I love one of the 2 original CAVA in the area. I recommend this place, come out, and support this business. Great food, drinks, and ambiance.

The food was excellent. I ordered the lamb pita and it was tasty and filling. The crazy feta spread was amazing with the warm pita. The restaurant was clean and looked nice. My only complaint is that we were ignored for about 10 + minutes before someone come over to offers us drinks and take out order.
