My wife reservations but not sure they are needed. It's a Saturday night with a good guitar singer. Service is slow; took about 40 minutes for us to get our order in and another 30 before the food came out. My wife raved about the Casa Pasta which was very tasty. I also enjoyed the pizza. Everyone loved the crab cake as some said all meat no filler. Overall it was a good night. The food was worth the wait!

Made our annual stop after getting our Christmas tree, just as the business opened. I decided to get the cream dried beef and my wife ordered the steakhouse salad. We ordered a couple of beers. I enjoyed my pick, a nice full platter with a selection of onions, peppers and home fries to mix in. My wife said hers was okay, but the steak slices were tough. Service was fine and it was great to be near the fireplace. FYI: cream dried beef and beer don't make a good combo after all.

Visiting family near Parkton, MD. Brother-in-law picked us up at Harrisburg airport. On the way to farm, knowing my wife's devotion to Maryland Crab Cakes, he drove us here first. We were seated right away, with menus and waters. My wife and brother of course had the Crab Cakes, each with side salad. Wife also had Creamed Spinach and brother had Fries. I selected Blackened Salmon with side salad and Creamed Spinach. Our salads came quickly. Greek for wife, Caesar for Bro and Tossed for me. The salads were chilled, fresh and perfect start. Soon our meals arrived. My Salmon was not spicy so I requested a small dish of cayenne pepper to zest it up just right. The Creamed Spinach was great. Now the biggest smile came on my wife's face when she tasted the Crab Cake. She just never finds crab cakes that compare - anywhere. It was filled with big chunks of backfin meat. She offered me a bite and I was sold! Fantastic. I guess I had not previously had great crab cakes but from now own I will follow her lead.Good service, good atmosphere and great food. This place is well worth a visit.

I've never ordered anything here that wasn't full of flavor or jumbo lump crab. We sat in the dining area but there's bar seating too. We started with petite crab cakes & fried goat cheese with honey. You get a good portion of both. I opted for the salmon imperial and double spinach no matter what I order I always add a side of spinach. It's so fresh with pieces of garlic. The Crab Imperial was amazing. The waitress seemed to forget about us even though there were only 3 tables. I ordered my second drink and water with the check.I would also suggest the crab pizza of course it has jumbo lumps!

In our search for some good crabcakes, we stumbled across Casa Mia's for restaurant week. The place is huge and offers both table, bar, outdoor and looked like a space for larger parties towards the back. We initially sat outside but there were wayyyyy toooo many flies so we asked to be seated indoors. When we got there around Sat afternoon, not many people were there so not sure if reservations are needed for other times of the day. The service was decent, quick and nothing that stood out. Our server was attentive and was able to ask questions regarding the menu well! The food was also ok. The cream of crab soup was very thin for my personal preference. The cole slaw was also on the bland side. The crabcakes were tasty though with nice size chunks of crab. The highlight was the seared tuna and the desserts!! We opted for the caramel cheesecake and the lemon cake and both were so light and creamy! We also ordered various drinks for the table and while I did not get to try them, my friends said they were well balanced. I did get the crush and it was very refreshing!

A family friend recommended this place about a year ago and we finally got the chance to try it out on our way back home from an Orioles game.I wasn't sure if this would be a good place to grab dinner until we pulled into the parking lot and it was jam packed! That alone told me the food was probably going to be pretty good! As we walked in the tables were packed and the bar was full of people. We were seated immediately.I ordered the colossal crab cakes (two 8oz.) with two sides sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes. WOW! Just WOW! Other than my wife's these are by far the best crab cakes I have ever eaten anywhere! Super tasty, filling and no skimping on the crab meat. The chunks of crab meat were huge and melted in your mouth! The sautéed spinach was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the roasted potatoes were browned to perfection! I can't wait to return to this incredible gem of a restaurant the next chance I get!

TLDR: Solid lunch choice in the Hereford zone. Come for the reasonably priced drinks and crab cakes. Vibe: 4/5. Growing up in the area, I have watched Casa Mia's evolve from the predominately bar focused Pioneer Pub, to the more restaurant vibe Casa Mia's. The restaurant underwent a significant renovation when they rebranded, so the interior and exterior are fairly new. The restaurant has several dining areas including a bar, dining room and shaded back patio. Upon entry, the large U shaped bar area is the first thing you see, complete with a handful of TVs playing sports and KENO. To the right and towards the back of the restaurant you have 2 dining room areas that have both 4 top and 6 top tables. The back patio is accessed from another door at the rear of the restaurant, and is complete with a canopy, fans and heaters for the colder months. The day we dined in for lunch, we opted to first sit outside, but immediately changed our minds when we were bombarded with flies. The staff was more than happy to reseat us at a 6 top in the dining area adjacent to the bar. The restaurant seemed clean and all amenities maintained, nothing to complain about!Service: 5/5. The staff at Casa Mia's were great from start to finish. We had made reservations for our party of 6 for lunch, however they were not needed. We were seated immediately, with drink orders taken not too long after that. The bar was out of a few things to make specific specialty cocktails, but the waitress was more than helpful in making alternative recommendations. Both food and drinks came out punctually as well as all together for everyone at the table. Overall, a well executed, friendly service! Food and Drink: 4/5. My party dined for lunch during Baltimore Restaurant Week so they were running a 3 course Prix Fixe special, which included their infamous crab cakes. Casa Mia's openly flaunts their crab cake superiority complex, so being a born and bred Marylander, I had to put them to the test. I opted for the cream of crab soup for my starter, the crab cake w/ fries and cole slaw for my main and the lemon berry mascarpone cake for dessert. The cream of crab was a bit of a let down. The cream based soup was on the watery side, with only a few solid bites of crab to be found. Seasoning was also lacking, even after a few heavy shakes of Old Bay. Other diners at my table decided to go with the peppered ahi tuna appetizer, which seemed to fair much better. Next up, the main event, the "World Famous" Casa Mia's crab cake. The 6 oz cake did just fine passing the Maryland crab cake test. Decent sized backfin lumps with barely any filler, seasoned nicely and broiled to a golden brown. Is it the end all be all of crab cakes in Maryland? Probably, not *Cough, Faidley's, Cough*, but it was certainly enjoyable. Finally for dessert, the lemon mascapone was the sleeper pick, as it was a fantastic piece of cake that was the perfect ending to our meal. Delicate layers of cake complimented the airy marscapone cheese which carried a subtle taste of lemon and berry. Everyone at my table thoroughly enjoyed their lunches, and at $33 +/- per person, it was money well spent. Casa Mia's bar program was also a win. Their specialty cocktails were well balanced and reasonably priced. If you ever find yourself feeling peckish in the Hereford Zone, I highly suggest swinging by Casa Mia's for a bite and a pint!
