we had a hankering for BBQ. 1. The brisket tips were perfect. I have to say they were beyond good and the BBQ sauce was a great mix of spicy and tangy.2. The tater tots were perfect3. The burger was pronounced average and "ok"Overall the food was well prepared. I liked their spicy BBQ sauce. We also tried to "BBQ" egg rolls. They were delightful. The only downside was the burger and fries being just OK.Overall we added another restaurant to our places to visit again. I will also add that I didn't know Carterque was actually in Mt. Airy!!!!

Pleasantly surprised by this adorable little BBQ joint! Started with an order of frickle chips (fried pickle chips served with ranch dressing). So delightfully crispy and packed full of flavor. 10/10!For my main, I opted for the 2 meat platter with pulled pork and the jalapeño cheddar link. I also got Mac and cheese and the sidewinder fries as a side and the black raspberry bbq sauce. Everything was delicious! Being from the south, I'm a bit of a BBQ snob but I was really impressed. I also tried some of the burnt ends as well as the special which was chicken fried steak and they were also huge hits in our group. Also the service was top notch--our waitress was super friendly and attentive and everyone who worked there seemed like they were really enjoying themselves.

A place I've been meaning to go for so long, but never found myself in the area until now, and trust me after eating here I'll make the drive back!I ordered a slew of things to try from the menu, but the bbq eggrolls were the thing that completely sold me on the CarterQue hype! The perfect combo of all the flavors that remind me of a backyard barbecue rolled into one tasty treat! The portion is fantastic and could definitely be shared amongst many people.The cue balls and the pork platter were also excellent. Everything was extremely flavorful. I'm not a big fan of the Mac and cheese side that came with the entree, but that's just a personal opinion. I will definitely make the drive from Frederick to eat here again!

Decent BBQ. My personal favorite is the stuffed potato. We have always taken it to go, and it travels well.

If you want Southern BBQ, you gotta go to Carterque! I definitely state that their pork is as good as back home in Tennessee and Uncle pulling the pork from his homemade pit!!I got the pulled pork sandwhich topped with coleslaw (duh) and potatoe saled. I was in heaven. Their Frickle pickle spears are a great starter for any meal. To top it off the cornbread basket was just the right ending. You cannot go wrong with Carterque!

Superior service and great food!! Our waitress, kept the refills coming, periodically checked in, gave great recommendations and even brought a sampling of sauces for us to choose from!!We started out with fried dill pickles. Dill lovers will love them. They had a Bucket of Wings special so I tried the Sweet & Spicy sauce (you can only choose one sauce with this special). They are nice large wings and full of sauce! I ordered the fatty brisket and wasn't disappointed!! Soooo flavorful and yummy! The green beans, although cooked with ham, did NOT have any seasoning but the cornbread is yummy cake-like and the baked potato is HUMUNGOUS the broccoli also had no seasoning!! The rubs were fairly meaty and well seasoned. Overall, highly recommend!!

Fantastic BBQ brisket and pulled pork. The red grillin sauce and blackberry sauce were tasty as well. Was happy with the food the came out very fast and the service was good. The even accommodated our party of 8 without a problem on a Friday night!

Excellent food and staff! I always make an effort to visit Carterque when my travels bring me to Baltimore.

Impromptu lunch stop after a morning of running errands.I ordered the brisket and it was dry. My lady ordered the loaded potato, which has brisket in it, but she was content smothering the spud in bbq sauce. So, there wasn't an issue as far as she was concerned. The hush puppies were good, and the menu has a Reuben on it. Admittedly, I'm a Reuben snob as well, so I'll be back to give that a try. Our waitress was great, and there is plenty to look at on the walls. You can even play keno while waiting for your food, although I don't recommend it because the kitchen it quick!
