Well....I probably sound Iike a broken record with his review. Not sure how many times I've updated this review?...but here we go again.Dined at the Carriage House on Thursday Jan 30 for my wife's birthday. Had our usual onion soup and then prime rib dinners. The onion soup was not as full bodied or flavorful as I remember. However the prime rib dinners with mashed potatoes and asparagus were outstanding. The prime rib dinners were cooked to perfection (one rare and one medium rare), incredibly flavorful, and tender. Both dinners were huge cuts of beef, fully 1 1/2 inches thick. Too much for us so we ended taking home the left over beef for future meals. Love to dine here on Thursday nights when the prime rib entre is discounted $8.00 (about 20%).The service was prompt and the waitstaff attentive. The Carriage House is expensive for us as retirees but still our restaurant of choice for special occasion meals. Two dinners, one onion soup, two soft drinks, tax and tip came to $93.00.

We went to this restaurant for Christmas Eve dinner and MJ (Mary Jane) was our server. She was absolutely terrible! She kept referring to us a girls and each time we corrected her she said (I'll see if I can remember). We noticed how polite she was with her other customers and offered recommendations. We didn't get the same kindness. When she came back to our table, she leaned on the table and said "what will it be girls" like we were in some sort of huddle. She purposely continued to call us girls after being corrected at least 5-6 times. She was completely disrespectful.Black people, stay out of this restaurant. Take your business and money elsewhere. We should have left when we realized that we were the only people of color there. MJ is a racist and there's no other way to put. Her entire demeanor was rude and appalling. Her behavior was intentional and I think she should not work with the public.

Carriage House Inn Catering came highly recommended, with so many five-star reviews that I expected a seamless experience for my son's wedding dinner at Ostertag Vistas. However, a series of missteps made the evening fall short of those high expectations. One notable issue was that a guest at our table, waited approximately 10 minutes for her dinner while everyone else had been served, leading the rest of us to delay eating until she finally received her meal. Additionally, the bar setup was disappointing. Though the bartender was provided with a selection of beer and wine, including Rosé, the Rosé was not displayed until the final hour of the event. This left a surplus of unused bottles, resulting in additional costs to us, the groom's parents, as the wine could not be returned to the winery.Perhaps most frustrating was the chef's oversight in not packing the vegetables prepared for the event. Many guests were left without vegetables for their entrées or received only a small portion, which was addressed by offering additional protein as compensation. While this was a thoughtful gesture, it felt more like a last-minute remedy than a proper solution, leading to an uncomfortable situation for us, as co-hosts.While the staff attempted to make amends, these errors took away from the overall experience. We sincerely hope that Carriage House Catering will take these issues into account for future events to better align their service with their otherwise glowing reputation. We believe in your potential for growth and improvement.

Stopped here on a Saturday night while traveling to the area. Nestled right off the main drag in town, exactly as it's billed: a colonial type inn building. The inside is heavily updated with new decor and design, but it appears like the floor is original? or a very good facsimile. We had a reservation and were sat immediately. It took a few minutes for us to get a drink order in - (full bar) and place an appetizer order. We each ordered a cup of soup, and shared the baked Brie. The French onion soup had a nice flavor to it - not too sweet, yet not overly seasoned either. The cream of crab soup was chock full of crab, but it looked like when it was made the heat wasn't turned up bc there was a lot of marbling of the soup portion. Had a decent flavor to as well as a good color. The baked Brie was VERY SMALL. The plate was decorated with fruits and nuts etc - but as far as the Brie - was small. Nice size for two people, but if you have a large group you may want to look elsewhere. They had a Valentine's Day special trimmed menu thru the week, so for an entree, I ordered the filet. It came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The meat was cooked medium as ordered, and the sauce on the filet was good. The mash was standard, and the asparagus was cooked perfectly so they weren't slimy and soggy. Very crisp. We ordered dessert - myself going with the cherry cheesecake. It was an instant cheesecake which isn't a favorite of mine - but it was good. Our waitress Kat was nice, even as the night waned on and they officially closed, there were times where we were left alone - not sure. Overall a good experience - would come back and would recommend.

Great and very cute spot. Able to accommodate a very large party and were flexible when additional folks joined our group. They had two big tables in a more private room for us.Menu is great lots of fun options and the food was good. Would definitely come back to try some news things if I was in the area again.

We dropped by the carriage house for a late lunch early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. We had no wait time, our waitress was efficient and friendly, and the food was very good. I had the crab stuffed haddock over mashed potatoes and a vegetable, and my husband had the crab mac & cheese. Both meals were very generous with the crab, which surprised us. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're traveling or if you're local and want a place to go. We were on our way to Canada traveling from New Smyrna Beach and we were happy to run across this restaurant

This one was a great experience all around. Excellent service, I never had to ask for a drink refill or any other detail; they offered everything I might want before I thought of it. The space is beautiful and comfortable. The food was delightfully seasoned. I started with a cup of cream of crab. It had taken me a long time to understand Old Bay. There is a right, a wrong and an excessive way to use it. In this soup the use of Old Bay was simply masterful. The crab content was also perfect, not too chunky and definitely not at all sparse. For the main I ordered the prime rib. That was the most handsome cut of meat I've ever seen in this category. It was well seasoned and properly cooked to the requested medium. A mild au ju and a bit of horseradish was offered. I appreciated the quality of the horseradish, not weak and not too strong. It was also served with asparagus spears, which appeared to have been dipped in rock salt, giving them a sort of crisp texture along with the great flavor.Time for dessert. I have to say, they very much stick to standard in that department. Nothing too fanciful, a selection of cakes, plain or turtle cheesecake and a gelato. I choose the plain cheesecake, which did not disappoint. If you are into coffee, this is not the place to expect too much from. They do not offer espresso. Their brew is good, but not outstanding as everything else. If I were nearby again, I'll identify another place to pick up the final chapter of the meal. But I would definitely want to come back for the main meal.

This rating is for the rude staff on Thanksgiving Day. I ordered a family pan and dessert for pick up. The morning of Thanksgiving, I received at text from the restaurant via Toast that instructed me to check in via the provided link when I arrived for pickup. When I arrived at my scheduled time, the parking lot was full. There was a gentleman stopped on the side of the building and I noticed staff was bringing out his order. I thought to myself, oh they must be doing curbside since parking is tough. I pulled up behind him and went to check in through the above-mentioned text. Sure enough, the instructions said to call the restaurant for curbside. I called in and when I gave my name and said I was there for a pick up, the woman who answered was dead silent, then finally said okaaaaayyyyyyy. Nothing else. So I said, I'm behind the white SUV that's also getting curbside. She then said food's at the bar. I said well, your instructions say to call for curbside and I am watching a staff member bring a box of food out to a customer. She snapped that everyone's busy and she'd try to find someone. She left me on hold for ten minutes and never came back on the line. So I circled the full lot a couple of times and finally decided to leave the car on the other side of the building so I could go in and pick up my food. The woman behind the bar gave me a frosty "do you need something?" Not a good morning or how can I help you or even a simple hello. She immediately had a scowl on her face. I told her I was picking up food and gave my name. As she looked through the boxes on the bar, she continuously slammed items around and gave deep sighs. Between her and the woman who answered the phone, I felt so unwelcome that I just wanted to leave immediately. I hadn't paid in advance so if it wasn't for my little boy waiting at home for a special meal, I would've left their food and had a Thanksgiving Big Mac instead. It's unfortunate the grumpy staff that day really ruined what could've been a great experience because Chef Tem's food was delicious as usual. I guess I should just be happy that I ordered takeout instead of having to sit through their bad moods at the restaurant.

We made a 8:45 reservation, the restaurant closed at 9. They were still patient and accommodating. Our waitress was nice and the food was good. We got the reservation to come from the nice lady at liberty mountain resort, very grateful.
