This place never disappoints! The food is absolutely amazing, and there's something special about every dish. Let's start with the greens--wow! They have this unique smoked flavor that's perfectly balanced. They're never overly salty, which I love, and there's a subtle sweetness, likely from the meat used to season them. It's not a candy-like sweetness but something rich and savory that keeps you coming back for more.The smothered pork chops are hands down my favorite! They serve you two generous portions placed over a bed of rice and drizzled with delicious gravy. It's like getting a bonus side because the rice is included along with two other sides. This meal is such a steal--so much food that you'll have plenty left for another meal the next day.I also tried Mom's meatloaf, and though the portion is smaller, it's just as flavorful and satisfying. It packs a punch! Paired with greens and mashed potatoes with gravy, it made for the perfect next-day meal.Now, I have to give a special mention to the mac and cheese. The flavor is incredible--rich, cheesy, and comforting. However, I've noticed it's become a bit mushy, almost like mashed potatoes. I used to love how you could really distinguish the noodles, so I hope they consider bringing that texture back while keeping the amazing flavor.And don't let the line scare you--it moves fast, and the warm greeting as you walk in makes the wait worth it: "Welcome, welcome, welcome!" The vibe is so inviting, and the food is soul-warming.If you're craving some good soul food but don't feel like cooking, this is the spot to try. Trust me--you'll love it just as much as I do!

I love CK veggies. I get them often. But today, their famous mac and Cheese tasted like it was out of a box. I was shocked and very disappointed. Do you have a new recipe ? It was very watery. Please gix it.Greens were excellent as usual.

I have not been to Carolina Kitchen in over 15 years but so glad I came across one last week. The fried chickens batter was light, crispy, flavorful full of herbs. The Mac & Cheese didn't real, it was super yellow but super delicious, chessy, creamy, the cornbread was moist and a bit sweet; the greens were smoky and tender. I will definitely go back.

I look forward to Friday Nights. Not for TGIF purposes, but to eat the food from Carolina Kitchen. Now, their might be a line but that's because I'm not the only one looking forward to eating here. They have a tried & true system where you'll be in & out, depending on the person in front of you. I get the Mama's Stew Chicken - it's my. Go. To. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with whatever sides you choose. And if you're not interested in take out, you can eat in their spacious dining room area. Usually, I love this spot for a quick, delicious home-cooked meal, but this visit was a letdown. I always go for the creole salmon with red mashed potatoes (as advertised), creamy Cajun sauce, grilled shrimp, and a lump of crab. It used to be $39 and was spot-on, but now it's $50 and seriously lacking. They skimped on everything, and it was way too salty. The only saving grace was the collard greens. Huge disappointment. Also, a heads-up for those with allergies: knowing what's in the desserts is crucial. The bread pudding had something that caused a reaction. Service it was , I think knowing what you serve is important. Also, for the decor having more lighting would help. Chairs are having a lot of wear and tear.Probably won't be back for a while. Onward to tastier adventures!

Totally messy. Didn't have waffles for the chicken rings and waffles. Upcharge for a plastic container when there was no room for food in the container. Food was either under seasoned or salty. The jerk chicken was brown inside and over cooked along with parboiled (fake) rice. Corn muffin, jazz and folks working there were the only highlights of this establishment. Needless to say, considering mentioned, the food was overpriced. Last but not least, no free water. I surely will never go back.

Has gone down tremendously with service and quality. Portions are smaller, food is not consistent, chicken is dry. General manager is not qualified for the job!

Welcome welcome welcome. When someone asks where can I get soul food I send them here. They always give robust portions of food. My favorite is the beef tips and I always get greens and yams. This place doesn't miss period.

I ordered the salmon,sweat potatoes, and greens...what I got was pork chops and mac instead. I called the same day and the manger wouldn't even come to the phone. The person I spoke with said they wouldn't refund me the difference over the phone. I didnt want to drive all the way from camp springs back to brandywine to prove I received the wrong order. I said I could send them a picture and they still refused to refund my money. Poor customer service on their part. Your management sucks for that. I dont even like the pork chops . Over charged for something I didnt order and dont even like. Thanks alot. I dont think I'll be coming back anytime soon or ever.

I'm not even sure why this location is still open! The only thing that is worth it is the bag that they give you the food in! From horrible customer service and management to never having any food! There's no reason I should have to wait over 30 minutes for one meal aside and a chicken salad! shut it down ASAP
