Had to take a break from ordering from here because it was taking all my coins!Delicious Trinidadian food that will make you come back for more. I've tried roti from other restaurants and Caribbean Palace reigns supreme. The others are mid. Love their doubles and the boneless chicken curry roti (all their other roti options have been tasty). Their speciality drinks are amazing - sorrel and pineapple ginger are very flavorful. They never seem to have the peanut punch flavor available which is why I knocked off a star.Definitely satisfy your roti cravings with food from here! Highly recommend!

Caribbean Palace is my go to place in the DC Metro for authentic roti and curry. My family is from Trinidad and I've been several times. I usually get the boneless curry chicken roti and a boneless curry chicken buss up. Busy they've stopped selling buss up shut so I just get the boneless curry chicken with the slight peppa. It's a carry out spot so I usually devour it in my car and wash it down with a champagne Solo or an Apple J soft drink.

As a fellow Trinbagonian, there was nothing more satisfying than the taste of a nice warm home cooked meal whether it was after school or weekends. Being the foodie that I am, those moments were the highlight of my days and the happiest, most memorable moments of my childhood. I understand the magic that resides in a warm, home-cooked meal--the way it transcends mere sustenance to become a symphony of comfort and connection. Migrating to the United States, I carried those flavors in my heart, seeking solace in the familiar. But as flights dwindled and expenses mounted, a beacon emerged: Caribbean Palace. That first bite of goat roti, an elixir of nostalgia, transported me to my aunt's kitchen. The tender goat, the perfectly seasoned roti--it was more than sustenance; it was a taste of home. And the portions? Generous enough for both lunch and dinner, all at a fair price. But let's talk about the appetizers: Pholourie, Aloo Pie, and Doubles. Oh, the doubles--a divine dance of flavors that defies description. They exceeded your taste buds' wildest expectations. Caribbean Palace, a sanctuary for homesick hearts, beckons islanders and newcomers alike. It's more than a restaurant; it's a portal to memories, a celebration of culture. So, fellow foodie, spread the word: this place is worth the trip. Let the aroma of spices and the warmth of hospitality embrace you. And remember, you're never truly far from home when flavors weave their magic at Caribbean Palace in Takoma Park, Maryland. - Foodie Fanatic - Regan Samaroo .

I felt like I was in Trinidad again! The setup feels very home like, and there are tons of photos of Trinidadian culture both inside and outside. We called ahead to be sure there was still Roti available and once we arrived it was made to order. The flakiness of the Buss Up Shot was a taste to remember, and the Dahl Puri was just as tasty! The Pholourie and tamarind sauce hit the spot, leaving literal crumbs in the dish! The server we had was very helpful and double checked our order to ensure we had all that we needed. I had heard so much about Caribbean Palace and after experiencing it for myself, it will definitely be my favorite go to.

I was in the area so I stopped in and got a couple of rotis. Good thing is they take cards, not just cash only anymore. As for my food, my taste buds were not satisfied. I asked for 2 chicken roti, mines barely had any chicken in it, mostly chickpea mixture.... my sons had no chicken and he said that his roti was dry. I dunno what's different as far as the staff and who's cooking, but something has changed.

The flavor is here with most dishes, but the portions have diminished. I got about .5 to 1c scoop of shrimp curry in my $14 roti. The rice and peas were not good and did not seem like they were made that day. This place doesn't seem to keep up the pre-pandemic quality. I will still go back and give them a few more tries.
