Cakes Plus

Date of service: Dec 5, 2024Ambiance: So spacious a definite plus/upgrade from the previous location Food/Cake: YUMMMM YUMMMM! The quality of their cakes has not changed. I've been a customer of Cakes Plus for over 30 years and the recipe is still so very flavorful. I wanted a special cake for my daughter's 18th bday and trip to New York for the weekend. She enjoys Broadway shows and of course shopping. This cake was driven on Dec 6th with us to New York. We cut it on Saturday Dec 7th. It did great on the ride there. You just have to make sure you have a flat surface. It was lemon flavor of course and YES anyone I purchase a cake for unless allergic they get the flavor I like! Bonus: she was happy and we brought home extra for other family.

I love the cupcakes at Cakes Plus! The cupcake display case has some many delicious options it makes it challenging to decide which ones to buy. Some of the cupcakes are special and cost $4.50 each. I know the price differs if the cupcake has buttercream icing. I purchased a dozen of cupcakes which totaled about $50. I think that I selected 3-4 specialty cupcakes.

I had heard of Cakes Plus from a few people and so decided to finally try it. I don't think I have obscenely high expectations for cupcakes, but i just couldn't really get into the flavors I tried, especially asking for some of their bestsellers. I had the carrot cake, peach cobbler, vanilla toffee, and lemon with buttercream. Unfortunately they were all quite underwhelming to me, just tasted like sugar without much other flavors as anticipated by the named ingredients. The store also sells fresh ingredients for baking and general baking supplies though, so it is somewhat of a one stop shop for those that also like to personally bake. The service was good, pleasant and professional so I can't complain about that.

Customer service needs to improve. Instead of a proper greeting, I was asked, "how many cupcakes are you getting?" The entire visit felt rushed and the cupcakes are subpar.

I've been going to Cakes Plus for years now. I was planning a anniversary event for my job and we needed gifts for our clients. Our first plan didn't work out and I thought of Cakes Plus. I called them on a Friday afternoon and spoke to someone and I led them know I needed this order by the following Monday evening. The nice young lady assures me they can have them ready by then. I ordered 3 dozen cupcakes with a custom logo. I also told them I needed them individually boxed. We did lay extra for the containers. But it was so much easier and the price wasn't bad at all! The clients were so happy and they really enjoyed the cupcakes! Of course they were fresh and good as ALWAYS!

I just picked up a cake for a joint 80th birthday party and I hope it's delicious because it is the most basic, disappointing cake I've ever seen. When i ordered it I was very clear about the special nature of the order but that clearly wasn't conveyed. The decorations are worse than if I had gone to a grocery store cake and for 90$ I'm embarrassed to present it to these ladies today. I've always enjoyed Cakes Plus but after today I won't be back.

Amazing amazing amazing! I have been coming here for every single cake since I graduated high school. From baby showers for both my kids to college graduation to all birthday parties. We also always stop in whenever we get a cup cake craving. This place is hard to beat and the owner is super sweet. I'm a customer for over 20 years and a forever client. Try the cheesecake bites with cherry.

Cakes Plus moved locations over a year ago and moved down the street to a bigger space. I used to frequent their old location but have only been to this new location a few times. I'm so happy for their expansion. The cupcakes remain delicious, and it looks like they expanded their dessert selection as well. I came to order a cake and got a couple cupcakes for myself because... why not? Lol. They had already made cakes, and there were a few 8x2 cakes available. I chose the prettiest one and asked them to write on it since it was a gift to my younger sister. There are also plenty of cake and party accessories that you can get around the store. You can pretty much find everything needed for a party or celebration.

I hired Cakes Plus to do my wedding cake and they were honestly AMAZING!!We had an in person consultation a few months before our wedding and I gave the lady (who I believe is the owner & is the most sweetest person ever) an inspirational picture (attached to this review) of what I wanted my wedding cake to look like.. we did a tasting that same day, picked our flavors and she assured me they could execute my vision!My wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous and delicious.

My go to place for cupcakes. When in the area I always stop by and pick out a couple from the display to take home. People working behind counter have always been friendly.
