Cafe 1908

I had been wanting to order from here for a long time, but for whatever reason or another it simply didn't happen. Until last Wednesday. I was at the office and a few colleagues and I were discussing lunch choices. Burned out on the closest 4-5 options that we lazily always seemed to end up at, I suggested that just a couple more blocks away was this really interesting-looking menu that I had been dying to try. Sure enough, two of my colleagues agreed to give it a shot. We each went back to our individual desks and placed our orders. Turns out, we all ordered the exact same thing! The 1908 Cheese steak! I was weary at this point, figuring that if I had blown it on this choice of lunch spot, at least I could cower behind my individual order and defend the choice. But, alas, here we were, all three with the exact same order. As we got back to the lunch room, opened our lunches and took a look, a drop of sweat fell from my forehead. But the meal we were presented with looked delicious! The fries perfectly seasoned with a delightful blend of herbs and spices, the cheese steaks bulging from their grease-soaked (in the best way possible) wrapper (to clarify, the 1908 Cheese steak is served as a wrap). We each looked up, ready for our first bite... Ahhhhhh, marvelous it was! We gobbled them up in no time, and all three agreed that Cafe 1908 had made its way into our lunch rotation! We will be back! And I am eager to try other items... but dang, that 1908 Cheese steak is going to be top of the list, for sure!

We put in a pick up order online. The food was ready at the given time. The inside of the restaurant is small and casual with some seating. I chose a jerk chicken quesadilla and my bf chose the cheesesteak melt. We also ordered a side of fries. I heated up the fries a bit once we got home since they were a bit cold from the walk back; they were well seasoned and tasty. The cheesesteak and quesadilla were both good. I enjoyed the roasted peppers in my quesadilla. Overall, this spot was good and I'd order from here again.

The jerk chicken cheesesteak is delicious! It comes in a wrap vs a regular sub roll, and is served with fries. I ordered 1 with onions and 1 without, and the young lady working made sure to clearly label each box. She even dotted the i's with hearts lol The restaurant was clean and had a cute collection of plants in front. We easily found street parking to pull up and run in, but I can see parking being a little more difficult during busy hours.

Walk in place with limited counter seating. I asked their specialty. No quick answer, so I went with the fried catfish sandwich and had a bottle of fresh juice. The juice itself was good but must've cost $9 or so. Blue Magic. The sandwich was pretty good but not distinct. Fries had a nice crisp. I imagine I'll try them again and might revise upwards if something else impresses me.

Cafe 1908 has been on my "to visit" list for awhile. I door dashed them last night. I ordered the cheesesteak and old bay wings. The cheesesteak came with delicious fries. The cheesesteak was a bit smaller than I expected considering the pictures and the price point but the flavors were there! It was very good and I devoured it! I would visit again for lunch time versus dinner since for dinner I'm usually looking for bigger portions.

The food was great and the service was what it was for 7pm. A lot of takeout orders. The young lady at the register was on point! Nice little spot to eat or takeout. This place is worth trying out. I got the bang banging AZZ burrito and Caesar salad.

I won't really speak on the service or the ambiance of the restaurant since I ordered pick up, and I believe they only do pickup. I wanna say the food was AMAZING. I wish there was more. Everything was seasoned correct, the fish was fried just right, and they surely were not skimpy on the crab. The bowl had a small kick to it cause of the sauce they used atop the rice. I spent $21 and it was definitely worth it. I will say this place can easily get you spending a good amount, but I'd say you're paying for quality.

There's never a bad experience here, at least not yet and I hope it never happens on my end. This is my go to when I don't feel like cooking. Their wraps and fries hit every.single.time. I also love the lemonade. I say I need to order the seamoss so that's next on my to do list, but pleasee don't change. 5/5 for delivered food.

The shrimp wrap is my go to when I order from 1908. Always well seasoned and fresh. The shrimp are a great size and the cool cole slaw is a lovely compliment to the spice level of the bang bang sauce. The fries are always seasoned and hot. Overall an enjoyable lunch.

when I first walked in I was a little thrown off by how the inside look but trust and believe this hole in the wall have some of the best food ever I order here at least 1 time a week that's how good it is 10/10
