Cactus Flats

Last time I stopped here was many, many years ago coming back from golfing with my buddies. We did not fit in with the biker crowd, so left without eating. Hindsight being 20/20, I made a BIIIIG mistake. Fast forward to now. Stopped by on the way home from a road trip with my Spousal Unit. It was late, we were hungry, so gave it a shot. Still a few bikes in the lot, still a few bikers at the bar, but the place did not look anything like the rough and tumble joints I remembered. We ordered burgers and fries - and they were really, really, really good. Meat was a bit more cooked than requested but flavor was excellent and the fixings were fresh. Nice burger! And the fries: oh the fries! Crispy exterior, soft interior, well salted - I've now found fries I like more than Five Guys and McDs. So let me apologize for stereotyping them based on appearances. I'm happy to come back, and will bring my golf buddies so they can see what we missed.

This bar has a friendly staff. I had Nachos the best I have ever had. Looking forward to going again in the future.

We just moved to the area and after hearing about cactus flats all my life ( from my parents) I had to try it out. The burger was amazing and so were the onion rings! They have karaoke on Wednesday nights!

It is what it is..... don't stereo type "rough" looking crowd, but everyone is great, congenial and friendlyFood = AService = BValue = B

Nice roadhouse type bar situated right off the highway and easily accessible. Friendly staff and delicious food. 6 or 7 beers on tap and plenty of bottles and cans to choose from as well. Daily lunch specials are always $5! I frequent this place and love the delicious home cooked style food, friendly staff, and great prices! Have tried several items which are always cooked to order and with whatever toppings you would like. Grilled chicken wrap and grilled chicken sandwich are great. Burgers are awesome too and made from fresh local never frozen beef. Fresh steamed shrimp and several fried appetizers to choose from. Don't see it on the menu? Ask and they will usually be able to make whatever it is you want!

Food is tasty (we had burgers). Beer is cold and delicious (they have Yuengling on draft). The staff are friendly and helpful, service is very fast (burgers were delivered before we could finish our first potato skin). And the ambience: it is a hangout for locals, who were very friendly to us out-of-towners.

Visiting the area from out of town. We heard the burgers were great so we went for a late lunch. The group of us had burgers, sandwiches and beers. All good. I had the meatloaf special with gravy and it was delicious. This was a great local place with good food and cold beer. Would recommend.

Can I put 10 stars? No?Ok I'm putting 5, but double that jomp!My buddy and I road-tripped up to Jersey and PA to get some stuff he bought for his recording studio. We kept trying to find a hotel on the way back, but apparently lacrosse tournaments require a lot of rooms, so we couldn't find one. Eventually, we were like, "let's find a bar and get a couple drinks and then power through to Richmond."Cactus Flats was that bar, and it was INCREDIBLE. 25 out of 10. Will go again any chance I get. Might even get a nearby Airbnb for a couple nights just to hang at this place. A-f***ing-mazing!!!!!
