"We enjoyed our visit to The Helmand. We have been before but I always forget to post a review. This is one of my favorite places to bring people. It's very vegetarian friendly and has delicious food and wonderful service every time. The place is nicely decorated and gives you a feel for the afghan culture. We had the following dishes: kaddo Borwani (baby pumpkin), vegetarian mantwo, ashsak, and the shornakhod salad. It was all fresh, filling, and light all at the same time. We always have the best time when we come to The Helmand."
"Went to Lebanese Taverna on a really busy night but the food did not disappoint! Everything had such good flavor and we tried a bunch of different appetizers to fill our tummies. The falafel was very yummy as well as the hummus. Overall, I will be back to try more items with a bigger group. The location in harbor east is great - right by the water!"
Pan-fried and baked baby pumpkin seasoned with sugar and served on yogurt garlic sauce.

Served with side. Spicy. From the coast of East Africa, this is a relish that is used to accompany rice dishes that are not spicy. It is a perfect accompaniment to emerald rice. It is a tomato and onion based relish perfumed with cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, and cumin. A healthy dose of hot chilies is added to give it that much-needed kick.

"Terrific lunch special. Three of us dropped in for the lunch special. The restaurant is narrow but bright and clean in appearance. Service was fine. All of us went with the lunch special. It came with miso soup, Asian salad and three rolls from a list of 23. (See photo for list) Green tea was extra. Popular at our table were: tuna roll, candy cane roll, crazy volcano roll, spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, and avocado roll. Pretty inexpensive we all thought."
"I ordered takeout, and the process was very convenient through their website. The estimated wait time was 30 minutes, and when I arrived exactly 30 minutes later, my order was ready. I got the Drunken Noodles with beef at the Spicy level, and it was delicious. The green beans had a nice crispiness, and overall, everything was excellent. The food came well-packaged in a box, and the prices were reasonable.I'll definitely be back. I'm especially interested in trying their happy hour, as they have a nicely sized bar that looks inviting."
"I was in Baltimore for a conference and was so thrilled to discover Liquid Earth! It can be difficult to find good vegan food when traveling, but I had a fantastic meal here. The BBQ pulled tofu sandwich was amazing and tasted just like the real thing (or at least what I remember it tasting like!). They also had fresh guacamole that was amaaaaaazing. It's a small, unpretentious but clean and cozy space. The server was very attentive and we loved the Liquid Earth t-shirt about chopping the plants so you didn't have to hear them scream. Hilarious!!I also tried some sort of beet and ginger juice that I would normally not have tried, but it was amazing! Very fresh and delicious. Definitely check them out if you're in the area."
"Read about this hidden gem on social media and we enjoyed our first sampling of the menu-- shrimp and chicken. Both were delicious!"
"Superb food and service. It is a great place to get a vegetarian meal that is delicious. The prices are great here. We had some fresh Deluxe Nacho's with cheese and toppings. The Grilled Tuna Steak is a deal for the price in toasted sour dough bread covered with wasabi mayo. It's a nice place to relax across from the Hopkin's field. We get there a few times a year and enjoy the atmosphere, ambiance and of course the service!"
"Decided to venture out to Silver Springs for Ethiopian. I had always heard Ethiopian food here is much better than anything in DC but I was always pretty content in DC. The location is south of downtown Silver Spring in a cute corner spot. It's always a good sign when you walk in and see majority Ethiopians. Service was prompt with one woman tending to all the tables and one man helping out here and there. Food was amazing. Comparing it with DC, the taste was pretty similar but much less greasy. I got the veggie platter and spicy beef tibs. All of it tasted amazing with a nod to the salad. Salad on veggie platters are always interesting, usually an afterthought, but here was quite refreshing, cutting through some of the heavier items."
"Loved the food here! The service was amazing and the staff was so great with helping out with our food selections. Can't wait to return and try even more of the amazing ethnic foods here!"
"Tasty, healthy, reasonably priced food. What can I say? Should have tried it years ago when we first saw it here beside the Walmart in Columbia. Glad we did try it on a lark looking for healthy choices.Ordered the Asian Rice Bowl, took less rice and no chicken broth and added tomatoes at no extra cost. It was really tasty and under $12 - in Columbia!! My wife ordered the Californian bowl. Got it stir fried for free. Loved it too."
"This restaurant has been on of my go-to take-out places to get on Grubhub. The packaging is incredibly neat, the food arrives in a very reasonably 25-35 minutes usually, and there is tons of customizability to mix things up since you'll be ordering from this place so often (the food is also reasonably priced). I usually get the 16oz bowl with extra meat as an add on. I find that this combo maximizes on the protein:carb ratio so you get less filler rice and more yummy stuff to eat the rice with. The spicy pork belly and spicy chicken definitely bring the heat so if you can't handle spice, I'd avoid these 2 protein options-- it's not overwhelmingly spicy, but it definitely makes me sweat. The kalbi is delicious-- I wish it came with more since so much of the cut is bone, but I still get it anyways."
"Great food! We came to the Owings Mills location after our massages next door. The food was surprisingly good. I do not usually find much that is exceptional at chain restaurants. Nalley Fresh truly did a great job. I was very impressed with the flavors, freshness, and quality of the ingredients. We were helped quickly without being rushed. Looking forward to coming back here soon!"

What a great experience! I've been meaning to come to Helmand for forever now. I've heard such great things about it and it's been a longtime staple of the Mount Vernon neighborhood. I finally went in for dinner with a few friends and couldn't be happier with the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Everyone who was working was so nice. From the host, to the servers, to the man cooking the naan bread in the oven, they each had a smile to greet you with. The inside is a lot nicer than I expected. It feels very fine dining with the white tablecloths and dim lighting. And it's really cozy thanks to the beautiful decorations and the brick oven in the back. The bathrooms were also really clean too. We got a couple appetizers to start: the pumpkin and the eggplant. The pumpkin was very tender and came drizzled with a yummy yogurt sauce. The eggplant was cooked to perfection and that's saying something because I normally find eggplant to be too slimy to appreciate the flavor - this one was good! For entrees, we decided to share the kabuli pallow and one of the specials, the chicken lawand. We were all new to Afghan cuisine but these dishes came highly recommended by the staff. The kabuli pallow was definitely my favorite. It featured tender, flavorful lamb over a bed of herbed rice and raisins. Omg, soo good! The chicken lawand was also very good and well seasoned but I think I just liked the lamb more. We also got a bottle of red wine that paired really nicely with everything we ate. I'd definitely come back to explore more of the menu and wouldn't be opposed to just ordering that lamb for takeout for myself!

Ambiance 4/5 Very cute spot with plenty of seating for our huge part of 10. Bright lighting with bar lining the front lobby and great décor. The place had 2 big parties while we were there and the place had more than enough space to accommodate all of us including other guest. Food 4/5The salmon was very tender and well seasoned. Hummus appetizers was shareable and favorable, must order. Service 5/5 Great service and the waiter was the funniest when recommending drinks. Accommodating for all our guest and request. We appreciate his patience. Price: This was an paid meal from our guest and we were grateful for it. I couldn't tell you what the prices were but our total was about $700.00 for 10 people. Overall great restaurant, Lebanese food is a must try if you haven't!

If you are in the Hampden area and want some really good sushi, Yama Sushi Bar is the place. Please do not let the strip mall exterior deter you away from this place, the sushi and service is excellent. Their menu is pretty extensive with a great variety to choose from. Also they give complimentary samples of sushi and other treats with each visit which is nice, gives you a chance to try something different to order next time. Definitely will return the next time I am in Hampden

I came with my best friend a few weeks ago and I enjoyed being there. We ordered a few drinks and some food. The food was pretty good and we had a small hiccup with the crab ragoons. They were a little undercooked (the dough was soft in the middle). The taste wasn't the best either, I felt like they were really fishy tasting & were a little runnier than what I'm used to. Aside from that, I would come back again, they switched that out for me no issues. I just ordered more spring rolls which were delicious!

Need a veggie fix? This small place has tons of ambiance, fun decor and great food. I liked that it wasn't all fake meat, but you can get that if you want. You also have options of vegan cheese or real cheese, so not totally vegan if that's your preference. I got the soup of the day which was yummy red lentil and sweet potato and salad that was a huge portion of veggies and fruit. The juice menu was really inventive. I got an iced camomile tea with ginger and pineapple juice. Yum! The staff is friendly too. What's not to like?

"First, but not last, visit to Punjab Kabab! A little hole in the wall on the Main Street in Arbutus. Dining area is sparse but clean. Can smell the spice while they cook which makes it hard to wait for the food - smells so good. The chicken tikka masala with basmati rice was delicious. The chicken was tender and spicy. The sauce was also tasty and was also spicy but not overwhelming. The palak paneer was also flavorful. Spicy with a little kick but you can taste cinnamon too. Couldn't eat the entire dish but I did try. Large portion of Nan, which was light and fluffy."
"I made my own specialty pizza. The staff was nice. The staff member strategically placed each item on the dough to be sure it was even. The pizza was cooked well enough. Sometimes some location don't have the temperature for the oven set right but they sure did! I had tomato and basil sauce, pepperoni, pineapple, grilled onions, spinach, mozzarella cheese, bacon, and then end the end added pesto, hot honey and pickled onions. It was so yummy!"
"Great food and service. The food taste as good as home made Indian food.I have gone back many times and the food is always fresh!!!"
"This is an amazing lunch spot near the hospital!I've been here several times now, and have truly become a fan.Can be relatively crowded during lunch hour especially now that it's a little bit colder and most people are sitting down inside. But given its close proximity to the hospital it's very easy to grab food and bring back to work and still have it be relatively hot. They have combination plates and wraps. You choose your protein, your starch, side dishes, and any finishing toppings/sauces. Personally I get the chicken Shawarma when I'm trying to be healthy, and the chicken schnitzel when I want comfort food. The falafel is very tasty if you prefer vegetarian. The cabbage is too salty at times. The cucumber tomato salad is fresh and tasty. The hummus is great! The baba ganoush is mediocre. The tzatziki is OK, but not as good as traditional Greek tzatziki. The garlic mayo sauce is phenomenal. The only reason I can't justify giving this a five star rating is because some of the side dishes and condiments are just OK."
"Excellent egg salad, coffee is brewed at the proper strength and the service is not just good but kind.Totally surprised by this place and unexpectedly touched. The visuals give off a New York deli vibe, the the folks are decidedly not. If you tip, tip well. This is one of the few places that deserve it."
"Great, happy staff. They just did their jobs with a smile on their face. In the past, ingredients have lacked in freshness. They have completely turned that around. The taste and freshness were incredible. Store was clean and well lit. There in December and it was warm!"
"Came here to get an açaí bowl even though they sell fresh made juices. The parking can be tough so the right timing is everything! Upon entering, you could smelled the cleanliness, meaning it smelled of fresh bleach, but not the overpowering type, just enough for you to know they take their store's cleaning seriously. The staff were pleasant and we ordered our bowls. The store is small downstairs, but has an upstairs area to sit and eat so that's a good thing! The bowls were fresh and good. The berries were plump and fresh, the granola providing the perfect crunch with the cold creaminess of the açaí on the bottom. If you're a texture person, this would be a great treat for you!All in all, one of the best places in Bmore for a nice smoothie bowl."
"I've ordered from here a couple times and they never disappoint. I had to cancel my order the first time even after they had started to make the food and they did not charge me or anything. They have really good customer service. I got the Sesame Chicken Combo. It comes with rice, an egg roll, and soup. The sesame chicken was really really good but the only that made me sad was how drenched in sauce it was towards the bottom. I know a lot of people like that l, but personally I didn't. The wonton soup was pretty good. The wontons in it tasted really good but the soup was kinda bland. The egg roll was pretty good. My friend got the House Egg Foo Young and said it was really great. She said they sometimes don't clean the shrimp all the way and leave the intestines attached but other than that, it was really good!!"
"The food was delicious and delivered earlier then told. The food was hot. We were given an enormous amount of food. They lunch portions gave us 3 meals! We will definitely be ordering from them again"
"I visit this location quite often when I am in the Towson area. The food is always fresh and very flavorful. The service is amazing and ambiance is always clean and welcoming. I definitely this establishment"
"I thought it was good!Pizza is super thin, then they blast it in the oven, that's how they can bang out your order really fast. Ordered the Margherita and a custom to go. I thought it would be kinda meh like pie five, but it's wayyy tastier. Flavors are there and they got a lot of options. Packaging and the communication is pretty zoomer. Pizza box looks like you just bought a new keyboard. Only gripe is the amount of crust due to the pizza shape. I'm not a crust(y) guy lmao but yeah there's a lot of it. I should have ordered a side of sauce to dip. Spicy tomato sauce has a little kick. Goat cheese and the other ingredients were really fresh. The two I ordered were not greasy which is a plus. Been about 20 minutes since I ate an entire pie, and I don't feel gross, which is what I usually get after eating papa johns or dominos. So I'm happy bout that. It's also really clean here which is a plus but might just be cause it's new. Hope they keep it that way. The cherry cola drink isn't good, but soda is bad for you anyways. Will have to try the other flavors. Better pizza than all the other options around here. Will be back for more."
"The best!! I've tried so many acai places and pure raw remains one of my favorites. Their acai bowls are refreshing and super filling! Favorites are the Hawaiian and the matcha mango bowl. I also love their pressed juices and smoothies!! I always order from here for a snack or energy boost at work :)"
"I love this location. The staff here are extremely friendly and efficient. I usually call ahead and it is always ready when I arrive. My favorite is the traditional açaí bowl. I usually throw in a flu shot as well. Great place!"
"Recommended to me by a coworker, so I finally decided to try it. Ordered the Asian chicken salad, There is definitely enough for leftovers. I also appreciate that they asked the "right" questions. Not just about dine in ot takeout, but did I want the dressing mixed in or on the side? Was I OK with the suggested dressing or want a different one? Did I want all the ingredients or need to modify? These are all simple questions but they get overlooked /forgotten so often in food service. It's a bit more than I expected to pay, but good nonetheless. I'm usually a Panera girl, but this is a good alternative."
"All I can say is wow! This was my first time ordering from this location. I have been following the Chef for years now. We met back around 2 or more years ago. I was introduced to her food by a coworker who had purchased some of her meals. She was actually doing meal plans back then. I tasted her food and fell in love. She definitely gave it flavor. I have never been a full pledge vegan but I do have my days when I want to eat healthy and add more veggies into my life. That's when Roberta fits in perfectly. She is 100 percent vegan. This is a Black owned business. Her food is all organic. So we decided to go with her for our Valentine's day dinner. I'm so glad we did. The food was excellent! First time trying her (lambless) lamb chops. Omg it was delicious! The (crabless) crabcake was even good. Now I'm a seafood lover. So it was pretty hard to pull that off. We enjoyed it all. Especially the cheese & Fruit platter. She definitely did not disappoint us.I definitely can see us returning to check out her other menu options. masks are required. Keep in mind this is a carryout establishment. It is located in a house. Signs are located on the side to enter the house from the side and go around the back to pick up your delivery. They also provide free delivery within 15 miles. Also other delivery options available. Parking is located in the driveway and street side. I will definitely be checking out her other vegan options for the future."
"Pure raw juice is a great place to get fresh juice and variety of açaí bowls with fresh fruits and granola. Today was the grand opening of the Timonium location so I stopped by to check them out and get my Hawaiian Açaí bowl. They had a give away for first 300 people in the store got a free açaí bowl and tote bag. I got there too late for the free açaí bowl but they were offering 50% off all purchases today & I got just lucky enough to get a tote bag as well. Cleanliness 5/5 Staff friendly-absolutely! 5/5Easy location 5/5 If you want more coupons or free items then I recommend signing up with your cell number-well worth it & free. 5/5 loyalty program Taste-5/5 fresh juice and fruit with granola in any combo you want. Highly recommend this place!! Definitely 5/5 all the way around"
"my BFF orders from here a lot and I was impressed with the food and the speed of the food. I love shrimp fried rice and they are great at it. Very good flavor and the prices were goodMy son he likes Lo mein he lives it with out complains which he is very picky and he had no compliant I will be back"
"Authentic western Indian (Gujarati) vegetarian food which is quite rare in this area. Also has Indo-Chinese dishes and the usual Indian dishes if you're so inclined. Tasty Indian street food, too!"
"The best Indian food I've ever had. Fresh, local ingredients are simply yet deliciously prepared. From classics to new combinations, India Express will blow your mind."
